Callum:
His eyes widened and he looked at Hawkflight. Guilt washed through him like an avalanche; he had caused this and there was really no good excuse for it. He lowered his eyes and sank back again, hating himself for what he had done. He inhaled sharply and coughed, feeling miserable.
Summary:
Okay, so earlier there was a slight struggle with Hawkflight and Fawnroot when he had attempted to take the medicine mare away by force. Callum interceded by tackling Hawkflight and causing both their near deaths by tumbling off the mountain, resulting in very serious injuries. Lloyd, Callum's older brother, helped by getting Callum back up the mountain. Hawkflight and Fawnroot flew up and she's taking care of Callum and the flight instructor.
In a different place not too far away. Espen just returned with Viola and her new friend, Rowan, from the dark tunnels inside going out from the cave where Kilroy, Ashtohn, and Sage are staying. Ashtohn is a hostage of the pegasi and they're trying to figure out some way to get him back without too much sacrifice from that hard headed overstallion, Coalwing. Rowan and Kilroy know each other.
Recomments of mine!
Teirron:
He rubbed the back of his neck, "Well, uh... how about Skypoppy?" He asked, (HOLY CREPES THAT'S A WORD??????? It didn't do the red zigzags under it wut dah heck!?) He waited, "...No? Um, Skytulip? Ugh, I already said that didn't I? Uh, um..." he rubbed his face, "I've always hated guessing games." He chuckled, "Maybe it'll come to you when you're falling asleep," he said with a grin, "Happens to me all the time!"
Heisly:
She set it down, rubbing her right hand, "Ugh, that was a lot of carving," she said and then smiled, "I happen to love bunnies." She looked up at Reid with a soft smile, "Do you have an prefered type of thing to carve?"
(ALRIGHT GUYS I FINALLY MADE IT)
(SANK YOU!)
(Soooo.... Kilroy and Avery are having a private discussion about teh peace summit, how Avery can help, and the attack on her and Cole, while Cole is eavesdropping. Fawnroot and Callum are in the healing cave, and Fawnroot is recuperating from her recent journey to retrieve Callum from the Afterlife. Kavani and Inigo and Collin finally finished their food. Ashton is back with the pegasi with Rowan as his chaperone. Hawkwing is back with his herd.)
Avery:
She met Kilroy‘s gaze and inhaled gently. “Yeah, of course. What can I do?” She asked as guilt seeped into her chest. She wanted to help Kilroy and his quest for peace-the thing she wanted most in the world. Avery has always been confident in her voice, but it would be different if she did sing for the Pegasi. She wouldn’t just be singing- she would be representing the centaurs, singing in front of an entire herd of pegasi at a peace summit. Just the idea made her stomach churn with nerves. But besides that, she wanted to play her part. She stared at the centaur expectedly offering a thankful smile at Kilroy’s concern.
( I NEED A SUMMARRRYYY GAHH)
(and plus, I wouldn't mind a nice summary since I absolutely stink at them)
(HOLD ON GUYS! I GOTTA MAKE A KNEW PARTTT)
Kilroy: His eyes widened and his heart seized. If it had been anyone else, anyone else, he would have taken the attack as useful information, a tool to use in the negotiations. But with Avery... Kilroy could not think of her life in his usual utilitarian way.
“Oh, I’m so sorry...” he breathed, nearly pulling his hands off his arms with anxiety over her and the current affairs. “The only way to keep this from getting worse is negotiations. I’m not foolish enough to believe that peace will be achieved any time soon... but we have to make overtures somehow. I respect your decision not to sing, but now I think you can help me in a different way.”
(YAY AVERY)
Avery:
She rubbed her injured arm gently, "I can't because...well because a pegasus attacked me and Cole." She blurted quickly, wanting to get the secret off her chest. She pressed her fist to her forehead and shook her head, "I'm sorry I lied. It wasn't a wolf attack that injured us. It was a stallion pegasi." She paused and glanced up at Kilroy.
"I would love to sing for you Kilroy, really I would. I want peace with them-I always want peace. But...I can't. I'm not sure I could ever fully trust them, not now anyways."
Her eyes widened and she crossed her arms over her chest, hugging herself, "We tried to get away but he kicked me. Cole tried to lead him away, but he injured Cole pretty badly too. Then, he just flew off without a glance backward. I was always skeptical of the pegasi, but now that they've kidnapped centaurs and blatantly attacked innocent civilians...I'm not sure a peace summit will do much. The scars run too deep and the damage is done." She said, trying to keep her voice from cracking as she explained.
(sorry what I meant to say was 'annoying' not ornery, I realized that that was not what that meant...)
Cole:
He heard all that was happening. He felt his face go read hot. He stood up, hiding behind the tent, listening closely. His eyes widened, He wanted to just burst into the open and explode all his anger at that-that centaur. But, he held back, for he knew it would be far better if he were to follow this ornery centaur, to find out what business he had with Avery.
Kilroy: “Yes, we can talk... are you ok?” he said, guiding her out of the tent into a shady and secluded grove outside.
His heart raced as he wondered at the prospect of being alone, with Avery... was she trusting him now? He would do his utmost to make sure her trust was well placed.

Fawnroot:
She snuggled up against Callum, "I do feel better, now that I'm not so dehydrated. I'm still not standing up anytime soon, though." She nickered, remembering the immense feeling of dizziness and weakness wash over her as soon as she had stood. She shuddered at the thought and held onto Callum tighter.
(OOOO YAAAYYYY ITS AT A GOOD TIME TOO!!!)
(YO EARTHQUAKE'S COMMINNNGG)
Avery:
Her gaze widened as he mentioned the kidnapping. She gasped gently, her good hand shot up to her mouth, her face a pure expression of shock and fear. As he continued to explain, his words didn't comfort her.
Avery was secretly flattered he had chosen her to sing-which means he must have heard her before- but that thought was small and unimportant compared to the butterflies in her gut that flapped madly at the idea that those winged horses had one her friends held captive. First, one attacked her and Cole for no reason, and now a kidnapping? When will it end?
"I can't...I-" She glanced back at Cole then looked forward again. She stepped closer to Kilroy and lowered her voice to a whisper. "Can...Can we talk elsewhere? In private?" She asked, making sure to not look suspicious as she tried to bottle her fear before the look became too obvious.
Kilroy: His eyebrows knit together and he subconsciously began wringing his hands. He began to speak, in a hushed voice, “There was a kidnapping of a couple centaurs earlier by the Pegasi. The news has not gotten around yet, and I’m trying to keep it that way.”
Kilroy glanced around furtively. “One was able to escape. An hour or so ago I was in Pegasi territory, negotiating for the remaining centaur‘s release. I’m making some headway, but a major obstacle is lack of knowledge on both sides of the others culture and mannerisms. So I’m going to host a peace summit on the border, with centaur artists displaying universal works.
“I’ve already gotten two artists on board. I was hoping you could join our effort, as a singer.”
Fawnroot:
She smiled and nuzzled Callum, "I wan't sure if I was dreaming or not. Having you back-having you here...It's all I want." She nickered as she felt her cheeks get hot, but not with fever.
Callum:
"Hey," he replied. "Good think you didn't actually get trampled by a herd of bison." Chuckling, he pulled her upwards into a more straight position. "Told you I'd stay here beside you."
