We need to make another one
Last comment from part 4:
Bakari:
He shielded his eyes from the bright light, but couldn’t help but keep them both open at the same time, witnessing Thea’s graceful decent, her lovely voice, and her extraordinary power. Then it was gone, and there she stood in all of her magnificence. He’d never shown so much outward emotion before, especially not when she whispered to the new colt.
Vida:
"What do you need Seaglad?" She sighed. She could not be alone for 10 minutes. It was probably because of that pesky mare Shimmerstream. She wished she could just fall and be alone. She had seen her family. Thunderbrook and her Mother Mistburr. She had wanted to be with them for ever
( YES please, It’s gonna start glitching for my device if we don’t get a new part soon xd )
(Do you guys want a part 6?)
Seaglade:
The Rocky Mountain foal turned his head to Shimmerstream, and nodded once. He rolled his eyes when she wasn’t looking, for she had made him do the exact thing he didn’t want to do. He spread his wings, his right one still being slightly injured, and jumped into the sky as ungracefully as a cow would.
Seaglade quickly spotted Vida, and dived to gain speed, but pulled back up slowly and came level with her. “Vida! Are you okay?!” He shouted over the winds.
( EEEEEIIII I LOVE ASTRO AND AMAROOOOO EIIIIIII That’s how you spell it, right? Amaro? )
Lilith-
When the blue and gray yearling opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Bakari, the latest foal to receive his powers. Lilith slammed her hoof down in frustration. She was one of the oldest of the star foals -- now mostly star yearlings, but when it had come time for her to receive her powers, nothing had happened. It had been more then a moon since she had become a yearling, and she still felt nothing. She tired to be as glad as everyone else whenever a new foal showed up wielding some strange new gift, but the plain fact that Lilith still didn't have hers felt like a wing to the face.
Astro-
Astro sighed and collapsed into a pile of leaves in a wave of exostion. About one month before, he had become a yearling, but unlike the others, he had not returned to the clearing. As he lay on the forest floor, he recalled what had happened the night of his birthday:
Astro had been sitting in his normal perch one night, far above the others as they slept. His emotions had been acting up far worse then usual, so he hadn't been able to interact with anyone in a while. Then suddenly, he heard a weird sound -- one that he had never heard before. At first, he had been alarmed thinking that it could be another ice tiger, or possibly a spy from another herd.
Astro waited for a few tense seconds as the sound repeated it's self, but then he noticed that Merlcloud, the only other member of Shadow Herd that was stirring at this time, didn't even flick her ears in the direction of the sound. I must be imagining this, he said to himself as he tired to get some sleep. But the sound didn't go away, it continued echoing through the trees, until finally, Astro couldn't take it any longer, and left his perch so he could try to locate it.
He didn't have to fly far, when he reached the area where he thought the sound would be coming from, but there was nothing there. Astro had then stood there, unable to shake the weird sound, but not able to find it. Once a moment of this uncertainty had passed, he looked up at the stars, and watched in awe as one of them began to droop low in the sky.
As this star began to get closer to him, Astro panicked, and tired to run away, but it was if his hooves had been rooted to the ground. He tired to call out for help, but no sound could escapee from his throat. Astro stood there, utterly terrified, and not knowing what to do. But then the star stopped and hovered above him, creating this odd whitish glow around him. It was in this moment that he noticed that the star had something different about it, different then the other strange looking stars that were hovering over Anok, this one had swirling rays of black and white. It almost looked as if the rays were fighting each other, but that was only perceived in the second before the star had bathed him with it's power.
Almost instantaneously, Astro felt different, the pent up anger that he usually felt didn't seem as intense. He looked down at his coat, and noticed that it turned from a strange combination of grays, to white with a few black streaks. What is this? he thought, as he tried to turn around and look at himself from varying angles. There had been a few other foals to reach their first birthdays so far, but as far as Astro could tell, none of them had appeared to have changed this drastically yet.
After a long moment, an idea came to Astro, and he rushed to the nearest lake he knew of. He wanted to see exactly how the star had changed his appearance. But as he reached the shore, he was in for a not so pleasant surprise; instead of seeing the white furred yearling he expected, there was a black furred yearling staring back at him! Startled, Astro had tied to run, but as had happened with the star, he seemed rooted in place, staring down at the black face that was shimmering off the water.
Nothing happened after this for a long time. Astro didn't know what to do or what to make of the reflection that stared back at him. He had come to realize that it had to be him, but whenever he looked back at his own coat, it appeared to be shimmering white. He had tired to figure out this strange phenomenon by moving around and trying to look at him self from all angles, but no matter where he looked, his reflection appeared as black as ever.
What has happened to me? he thought, as he gazed at himself, but then to his utter bafflement, a voice answered him.
You're making us look like fools rasped the voice, though it wasn't really a voice at all, more like an echo in Astro's head.
What? though Astro, thinking that it was weird to be thinking questions to himself that he didn't already know the answer to.
You heard me, came the voice again, you're making us look like fools.
I heard that, thought Astro back, but what do you mean by us?
Wait, am I talking to myself? came the voice again, this time sounding just as confused as Astro himself.
Yes..., thought Astro.
These exchanges had gone back an forth for hours as Astro tried to make sense of what was going on. At one point, the conversation had escalated into more of an shouting match, and to both pegasi's astonishment, something happened. A sharp pain struck Astro in the stomach area, and he collapsed in a spasm of pain. Then before anyone knew what was happening, the pain stopped, but something was different. He tried to move his leg in an attempt to stand up, but he couldn't. Panic surged through him, but that was pushed aside as he watched himself stand up. How was this possible? He tired to lift his wing, but again nothing happened.
It was at this moment that Astro spotted his reflection in the lake, and he saw his white face glistening in the small ripples. What is happening? he wanted to scream, but again, he didn't seem to be able to.
"That's better." said the raspy voice, only this time it really was a voice. Whoever or what ever that Astro had been talking to for the last while now seemed to be controlling his body!
Who are you, thought Astro, despitly searching for answers.
Astro's body let loose a horrible deep laugh, then said, "Oh haven't you figured it out yet? I am you." with that Astro's body had taken flight.
Shimmerstream:
"Seaglade will you follow her and not let her get into trouble?!"
Seaglade:
The Rocky Mountain colt managed to tear his eyes away from the filly when she looked his way, but then looked back at her as she flew away.
Was it something he’d done?
Shimmerstream:
"Sorry Bakari. I thought eating would help you get your powers." She looked nervous. "I dont get everything right."
Vida:
She stared at Seaglade with a fiery stare. Her eyes burned. She looked at him and thought. "If he was kinder or I was meaner maybe..... Some day..... NO dont think that. Remember Bakari!" She inwardly shouted she looked down and tried to graze but stress made her unable to sleep. She took off and flew into the clouds
Bakari:
He turned his head towards Iden and smiled. “Thanks, Iden!“ He stumbled back at his voice. It, too, had changed, deeper now than it was before. He shook his head to get his forelock out of his eyes and continued to smile.
Iden:
When she finally awoke she noticed a star was missing. She had no idea who's star it was but she could tell it was the green one. She looked around. Yep. She definitely could tell who it was. Bakari. Of course. She looked at herself and then at Bakari. It was almost as if they had switched. His ribs were no where to be seen. His coat was glossy and so were his wings. He was even more hansom than before OWO. But he was Thea's and she had to respect that. And she did. Iden on the other hand, became skinny and her mane had matted. She was sure that in no time she would heal though. She took in a shaky breath and muttered what she could. "Congrats Bakari. Im sure you powers will be great." She said looking for Marlcloud. She noticed she had bandages on and furrowed her brows in embarrassment. She wobbled to her feet and looked as if she was a new born foal. But she quickly straightened herself so that no one would notice. "Who did this." She asked nodding to her bandages.
Seaglade:
Seaglade felt like dying.
The feelings and emotions and conscience he felt betrayed everything he believed in. He believed that he was nothing more than a body that would soon die, but his newfound conscience told him much otherwise. His feelings said he was worth something, and everyone around him was worth something, too.
He wished he hadn’t been so rude and careless to the fire-wielding filly named Vida, even though his old self would have highly disagreed. Even now as he gaze at her, he longed for her approval, but he knew he would never have it.
( Aww Bai!!!! )
Bakari:
The chestnut colt came sulking back into the clearing to the powerful bray of his aunt, Marlcloud. “Bakari! How does it feel?” She asked excitedly, her grin shining like the sun. He looked up at her slowly and bit his lower lip.
“It doesn’t feel any different, Marlcloud. I don’t think I have my Gift. I don’t think I ever was supposed to receive it...” he mumbled. She narrowed her eyes.
“You don’t feel different?”
“No, ma’am,” Bakari said, finally meeting her eyes.
“Look here, Bakari, now, I want you to look at the grass,” she whispered, gesturing to the grass at her hooves. “Tell me what you see.”
He cocked his head as he examined it. “I see.... just a few blades of grass. What’s so special about them?”
Not answering his question, she said, “Do you feel the need to eat it?”
“No...” he answered, looking back up at her.
“Now, looked at yourself. What do you see?” She said in a small whisper, gesturing with her wings at himself. He lowered his gaze to star at his legs.
They were completely muscular and healthy. His eyes fluttered for a moment. He looked at his stomach. He couldn’t see his ribs! He brought out his wings, and they shone as if bright and new. He jumped into the air and flapped his wings, a bleat wracking his voice box. Marlcloud smiled and stamped her feet in applause.
“See! You have changed, Bakari, you just don’t realize it yet,” she whispered when he landed.
He grinned and looked back at the grass. He hadn’t eaten anything, and somehow he was good as new.
(I gtg baiii)
Thea:
She awoke suddenly with a start. She didn't know why she was so scared, but something scared her and she reached out to Bakari for comfort.
But, she gasped gently when he wasn't there. He was missing from the spot where she'd last seen him. Her eyes darted up towards the sky, his green star...it was missing as well!
Her heart skipped a beat, "He gained his powers..."
She wanted to stand up and go find him, but she knew she was much to weak to do that, so she laid there, her eyes scanning the forrest and her thoughts shrouded with worry and excitement.
Vida:
She sighed. She lied to Bakari. It hurt but she sent her power raging through herself and it told herself to harden her heart and she did. She would never love again
( ooooooooffff that was too long sorry )
Bakari:
The headache hurt like nothing he’d ever felt before.
Not to mention, it was his first birthday in thirty minutes, and his star wouldn’t stop pestering him. His stomach ached, his eyes were puffy, and it was all because of that tiny bite of leaf. He didn’t necessarily regret eating it, because then Thea wouldn’t have told him, but he definitely didn’t like the consequences of it.
“Happy birthday, Bakari!” He heard Marlcloud whisper from behind him. He jumped and winced as his headache shot up to a higher degree.
“Thanks...” he mumbled.
“Why the long face, my dear nephew? You receive your Gift today!” Marlcloud stressed, looking into his eyes. She noticed they were puffy and then asked, “Is something wrong, my sweet?”
He pursed his lips and snorted, “I ate a leaf today, earlier this morning, actually, and I’ve had not only a headache, but a stomach ache ever since. It’s not the first time it’s happened, actually, but it’s never been this bad,” he mumbled.
Marlcloud narrowed her eyes. “You ate... a leaf?” She asked in a serious tone. When he nodded in reluctance, she took her wings and gently encompassed his face so he would be forced to look at her.
“Never, ever eat another plant again, Bakari. Your body is not meant to get nutrients from that of a plant, but from the sun. Do you understand?” Marlcloud asked. When he didn’t answer, shocked, she pressed harder; “Do, you, under, stand?”
“Yes, Marlcloud. I understand.”
“Good. Now, in thirty minutes time you are to receive your Gift, and I want you to be alone when it comes. No one else shall be with you. It is you and you alone who will be there, understand?“ She demanded.
‘Yes, Marlcloud,” he whispered. He didn’t understand why she was asking this of him. She had asked it of no one else, for she hadn’t known their birthdays, but apparently she wanted each foal to receive their power in peace.
Marlcloud retracted her wings and smiled. “Now, go and get your power! There is a small week up wind of here that I think would be perfect. Good luck,” she nickered. He was surprised when she trotted away to inspect the other foals and left him to go find the creek. Still not being able to fully fly, only to hover, he galloped north, which was currently where the wind was coming from.
Bakari soon found the creek, and sat beside it. He looked at his reflection and grimaced. He hadn’t noticed he‘d looked so thin. Bakari had always felt fine on the inside, but his outwards body shouted otherwise.
He took a sip of the water, stood up, and braced as his stat grew brighter. The emerald green star appeared to detach itself from the sky, and came down to him. It was so tiny, but yet it had been huge only moments before. It dangled there in front of him, taunting him, daring him to open his mouth.
He gently exhaled and then took in a breath, welcoming the fuzzy feeling as it flowed through his veins and made his eyes glimmer. He had a faint sense of belonging, but then it was over, his star was gone, and he didn’t feel any different. He frowned in disappointment, and then trudged back to the clearing in low spirits.
( But I don’t wanna be dramatic.... )
