She glanced behind her, "No, Kifo. You didn't make me mad." She turned back forward and trotted faster, puffing out her wings. "I'm just ready to get back to the clearing."

He stumbled off of Dovefrost’s back, refusing to be carried around. He also did not like leaving the ground, and he turned to canter alongside them, matching pace and answered, “It’s not me we need to worry about, Vida!” He flicked his ears behind him when he noticed Silren and Astro galloping up to them, also escaping a dazed wolf that would seen come out of its temporary torpor. He was glad to see all of them okay, but was worried for Vida. Even from the ground, he could still clearly see the scratches and bites running along her left flank and back muscles. Of course, he expression still betrayed nothing and remained in its stiff position.
Dovefrost was on her way back to the foals when she was Bakari and then she grabbed him and put him on her back next to Vida, "No more doing stupid things to save each other!" She shouted to them. Vida laughed, "Yes mother I don't want to ever have to put them in that position again." Her voice was drenched in pain. Her leg was damaged and her side was bleeding.
Vida:
She winced, every turn her mother made caused her to have to hold in a shriek. She pretended that her grimaces were smiles. "So Bakari, how are you doing?" Her heart rate sped up and her breathing started to hurry and she started to pant.
“C’mon, Thea!” He commanded, his voice resonate and firm as she scrambled towards the tree. “I’ll go and help Vida,” he promised as he bolted in the opposite direction. He was worried, but not even that could break through his hard mask of indifference and determination as he sped towards Vida and Dovefrost, straight towards the ice tigers.
He stared at his friend, "Climb, Thea, or I swear I'm waiting here with you." He snapped, then quickly shoved Thea towards the tree.
She looked close to tears and she was trembling, shedding dark purple feathers as she ran towards the tree. Thea's eyes were rimmed with white and her heart pounded.
She flew up the tree and scouted The best way for Bakari and Anblick to climb up.
"Here" she said showing them a safe way. Once they were at the top she thought about what to do.
"I've been studying these animals. They are skiddish, like other cats. We should be able to use that to our advantage." She said trying to think of a way to save her friends.
Kifo:Kifo panicked and started to try to go after Vida.
Vida:
Vida turned and saw Astro and Silren and then she jumped from her mothers back. She glided toward them, her wings were still to tired to fly. Her side dripping blood she rushed at a ice tiger. He snagged at her with his paw but she dodge and kept running in circles. when the other foals were far enough away she stopped and then she said, "Everyone safe?! Good!" Then she slowly tried to hobble to the foals but a tiger grabbed her and held her down. She squealed and with a mighty kick, Dovefrost rammed the tiger grabbed her filly and they started for the trees.
He curled his wings around Bumbleberry, keeping him secure in his back. "Keep your head low Bumbleberry." He said softly to the colt so he wouldn't panic.
Thea:
She skidded to a halt as she heard Vida's last remarks. "Vida!!!" She screamed. She started to run towards the pace she'd last saw Vida, hoping to still help her, but Anblick guessed her intensions and jumped in front of her, blocking her path. "Thea, don't."
"I'm not leaving without her! Anblick, out of my way!" Sh said sternly, but Anblick didn't back down. "Thea, listen to me. Vida did what she did so you can be safe. You running after her is the exact opposite of what she would have wanted." He whispered sweetly to the panicked Thea. But, Thea only shook her head and stamped her hooves, "NO! I'm not leaving! I can't, Anblick! I have to help her. She might still be alive and I can do something to save her!" She cried, not knowing that Dovefrost had already saved Vida. "No, Thea, no! Climb the dang tree!!! I'm not losing another friend today! Climb Thea!" He shouted to her, abandoning his whispers. He could smell the tigers- they were approaching the edge of the clearing. He looked up at Bakari, pleading him to do something. "You're the only one she'll listen to!" He said through eye contact.
She panicked as she saw a gray figure dive down from a tree. Originally, she had thought it was another ice tiger, but then noticed the figure too big for that, and realized it was Astro coming to her rescue. She bolted in the direction of the foals, following Astro as quickly as she could. She felt much gratitude towards him and wondered why everyone thought him so rough around the edges. He had just saved her life, and nothing she could ever do would repay him. “Thank you, Astro!” She shouted to him as she continued to gallop after him.
"What a day." muttered Lilith, as she rushed after the other foals. She briefly wondered if they remembered that ice tigers were actually quite skilled at climbing trees, and pegasi -- especially ones that couldn't fly yet -- were next to useless at it. But as they ran, it seemed more likely that the foals of Shadow Herd would just keep on going, and would hopefully eventually out run their pursuers.
Astro-
Astro had been to far away to hear Iden's warning about the ice tigers, and was still his tree as the rest of Shadow Herd pelted away. He was about to go after them, when he suddenly noticed one of the tigers, and realized with horror that it appeared to be stalking Silren who had not been able to travel as fast as the others on account of her much to large wings. Thinking quickly, Astro snapped off a near by branch, and dropped it on the head of the tiger. Confused, it stopped and looked around, then down at the stick. Without hesitating, Astro took the opportunity to dive, and he managed to land a few quick blows to it's head.
Normally, this would have done nothing to the cat, but a few months before, Astro had figured out how to sharpen his hooves, and considering that he and his herd mates were in a constant state of danger, he had chosen to maintain them. So, as he flapped away, the tiger was left with a few semi deep cuts on it's head. Not enough to kill it, but it was enough to leave it in a dazed, "Run Silren!" Astro shouted, "Run!"
Vida:Vida whinnied and started to run back to camp but she stopped and looked at Bakari and said, "No Mater What Happens to me KEEP running and get Kifo and Bumbleberry safe, Thea too."
Then turning she ran.
Kifo screamed, "NO VIDA COME BACK!" He darted after her but Dovefrost held him in her wings
"No Kifo you can't go after her, No!" She turned to Bakari, "Can you get him safe?! I need to look for my filly!" With that she left him in Bakari's care and darted after Vida.
Vida heard the tigers closing in and shouted, "Over here!" Luring them over to her. Hoping to give the others a chance to escape. Her body was still weak so she could not fly and she was scared that they would kill her. "Come here and get me." She zipped around them, using all her strength and when she could not run any more she shouted. "RUN SHADOW HERD!" and she darted into a tree and when the tigers chased her up the tree and she jumped, gliding and she hit the next tree running. She darted tree to tree. Jumping, gliding and just being annoying. A tiger grabbed her and gave a rip to her left flank. Another grabbed her right leg. She felt ready to die and then suddenly a gray paint came flashing through the trees kicked the tigers and yelled at Vida, "Get on my back!" Vida did as she was told and then Dovefrost flew low and manedge to kill 2 tigers and get them both to safety.
Bumbleberry:Bumbleberry panicked when they had all started being loud. He climbed onto Anblicks back and when they started to run he thought they were playing a game.
He flicked his ears to Thea and said, “I was looking for Marlcloud. She hasn’t yet returned from her journey to find the foals, and I’m wondering if she’s safe. I also am concerned to as where Silren has run off to, again.” He heaved an exasperated sigh at that last part. His cousin was always running off when she wasn’t supposed to, but the only problem was that she could go unseen and unheard into the shadows as if she were never there.
Upon looking over her shoulder, she saw Bakari and Anblick both searching for something. She slowed a little, not wanting to leave them. She slowed to where she was cantering alongside Bakari. Thea asked, "What's wrong? Who are you looking for?" She called to both the colts.
Anblick:
He responded with a worried whinny, "It's Silren. I can't see her and I don't know where she is!" He called to Thea and Bakri, who also looked anxious about something.
He followed quickly after Thea, making up quite the distance within only 4 of his great strides. He looked behind him to make sure everyone else was following. The biggest burning question in his mind involved his aunt, Marlcloud. Where was she?
She nodded then chuckled. "Yeah. That's a much better idea. Okay, everyone! Let's go!" She said, turning towards the thick canopy with Anblick following her.
Anblick:
He sniffed the air again, "Hurry everyone! They're almost here!" He whinnied, and at that Thea broke into a canter, remembering that Bakari couldn't fly and ran towards the canopy. She looked over her shoulder, making sure Bakari and the others were following.
Anblick:
He glanced around, looking for Silren. He didn't know why, but he wanted to make sure she was safe. When he didn't see her, he pranced nervously. The tiger smell was getting stronger and stronger.
At the new idea he was perplexed and then whispered, “Uh, Thea? Silren and I cannot fly just yet, so that plan wouldn’t work. I suggest we take to the canopies and hide in the thickest branches,” he snorted, pointing his wing to a certain thick spot. He knew some jaguars could climb trees, but he had heard that they were native to a jungle extremely far south from where he stood. So, he figured that Marlcloud knew best, and Marlcloud was the one who had taught him to always try to get into the canopies. Of course, he and Silren would have to work harder since they couldn’t fly, but the others would be safe.
"Great! That's just what we need." She sighed exasperated, glancing around at the other foals. "We could just fly away! Cats can't follow us into the sky." She said, unfurling her wings.
Anblick:
"No!" He called to Thea. He rushed over to her, shaking his head. "These are smart cats and they're probably hungry. They'd just wait until our wings got tired and we landed so they could pounce. Flying isn't the best idea." He explained.
Thea:
She rolled her eyes. "Oh please. They're cats, their not that smart. And besides, I didn't mean fly as in hover- I meant fly as in leave. Why don't we just leave?" Thea asked.
Anblik:
He shrugged, admitting that leaving was a possibility. "I dunno. But, they could follow us, wherever we go." He whispered to Thea. His eyes suddenly went round and his nostrils flared. "Actually, I changed my mind! I don't care what we do, but we need to do it now! I can smell them-they're coming closer!" He whinnied, completely forgetting his shy nature and became more worried about helping his friends survive.
Iden was scounting the area near camp what something prickled her senses (Like spidey senses if you've ever seen Spider-man). She seemed to have stronger senses than the other foals so she trusted them and flew into a tree. There she saw a large family of big cats. She didn't know much about these creatures but she new that this was to large to be a single family. They soon dispersed so she followed a pair and studied them. She was fascinated by them. She memorized everything about them. She recalled that Marlcloud had called them something like cold tigers? No..... Ice tigers. That was it. She decided to fly back and tell the others about what she saw when she noticed a few more on the way back. She flew to the canopy of the trees so see more. Lets just say she was no longer facinated. These tigers were closing from behind headed straight for camp. Without hesitation she flew as fast as her long wings could carry her. She lasted roughly in the middle of camp. It was chaotic. A new mare was here. Kifo was sobbing. Vida looked like she was just born, shaky legs and everything. She stood tall and screamed.
"GUYS!!!!!!!!!!" She yelled out of breath. She looked at Bakari, Vida, Kifo, Anblick and other foals she hadn't met. Then at Marlcloud. "A large group of Ice Tigers, headed this way!!!"
Thea; Her heart fell as she watched Vida fly away. Thea really wanted to become friends with this filly, but maybe Vida didn't;t want to be her friend, which was understandable because Thea was supposedly a destroyer. Thea grimaced at the idea and her sighed. "What did I say?" She thought, frowning as Vida stood next to Kifo. "Why am I so stupid? I say something to upset her, and I don't even know what I said!" Thea exclaimed to herself, swishing her tail.
At the sound of his name, he followed Bumbleberry to the strong mare who was most likely his dam. "H-Hello... Y-Your son was ver-ry brave..." He stuttered, feeling awkward around this large mare before him. Anblick glanced at Bumbleberry and winked to the colt, playfully.
She watched as Vida fell and she gasped. She rushed over with Bakari. "If only I can help! Gosh, I wish someone had healing powers..." She thought as she cantered over. She smiled as she saw Vida trying to stand.
Vida still didn't look good, but at least she wasn't dead.
Thea hadn't heard anything of what Vida told Bakari about Thea having feelings toward him. So, when she arrived she smiled sweetly at Bakari, then smiled at Vida. "You okay?" She asked, genuinely concerned. "You must be strong to survive after eating those death berries." She said again, trying to comfort Vida because she didn't know what else to do.
Lilith lashed her tail at this newcomer that seemed not to be aware that her sudden arrival was causing some unrest among the foals. Yeah sure, she had possibly saved Vida's life, but that didn't mean Lilith was going to trust her. Merlcloud had been more then clear on the fact that outsiders must be treated wearily, and it only furthered her untrust of this mare, when she pointed up at where the sky would be to indicate where Merlcloud would be. Instead, all that the visible was the thickly leaved tree branches blocking any view of the sky, and there was no trace of Shadow Herd's lead mare to be seen. Where was Merlcloud?
Still unsure rather or not to trust the mare, Lilith asked "If you live here, then why have we never seen you before?"
Dovefrost was irritated that people kept asking her that, "My name is Dovefrost. I live here. And Marlcloud is right there." She pointed her wing tip at her.
Vida felt bad making everyone work to help her, "Thank you." Vida ate it and then she tried to stand up, she swayed and then she manged to use her wings to balance her.
He nodded curtly and disposed of the water to start digging his hoof at the grass around a particular tree a few winglengths away. He scooped up the grass, gathered the moss, and returned to Vida with an indifferent expression and offered it to her.
(I know that Nightsong lol. But Bakari doesn’t know that, not yet, at least. He is completely oblivious, and I think that suits him. )
He ignored her statement and hushed her with a flourish as he poured the water slowly into her mouth. “Vida, stop that now. You need to cooperate and stop focusing on other pegasi.” He quickly went back to the stream and carried another wingful to Vida, ready to dump in her mouth.
Vida glared at him again but opened her mouth, "Don't you know that at least Thea likes you." She silently cried her tears creating rings of flowers around her.
If he hadn’t of been carrying a wingful of water, he might have stumbled back and his expression faltered. Thea or Iden? What was Vida going on about? ‘Vida, I don’t know what you’re talking about, but you are not dying today. Now, open your mouth or I will dump this all over you and continue to do so until you open your mouth.” His voice was stern and on the borderline of frustration, but his eyes still had that same splotch of green in their paleness.
Vida glared at him, "I Want to die!" She mumbled. She opened her mouth a little. "What do You care about me, You have Thea or Iden you don't need to worry about me!"
His gaze resumed its calm and coolness as he sternly commanded, “Vida, open your mouth. If you die because of this, I swear to you I will suffer from now until my death.”
He took off in a very fast paced gallop to the stream, scooped another wingful of water and brought back, without spilling not one drop, to Dovefrost and gently asking Vida to open her mouth wider and coaxing the water down her throat. “It’ll be alright, Vida. We’ve got you.” He said, partly to calm himself, but mostly to reassure her.
She glared at Astro, feeling his distan for her foal. "Astro you dont have to be here if you dont want too."
She looked at Vida and saw her breathing was getting easier. "Bakari, Raphael get me some water. Marlcloud can you get some grass and moss for her." Her voice was growing less panicked.
Vida:Vida looked around and saw Bakari, she looked down and thought, "I wish I could die!" She gave a sob and where the tears landed firey red flowers. She lay, scared and she was sad that Astro thought that she was dramatic. She had not planned it. But now she wished for death.
Kifo:
Kifo ran to Vida's side and as he reached her, the mare who called herself, Dovefrost, gently shoved him back, "Don't touch her!" She said.
After a few minutes of standing there, staring at him unblinking, daring him to send his stallions after Dovefrost, she tore her gaze away. Immediately after, she took off into the canopy of The Trap towards the camp. She knew for a fact that Strikewing’s stallions wouldn’t be able to fly after her, for they didn’t know this canopy like she did. It was filled with tight spaces, and it had taken her a while to get used to it, but she had mastered it and was going at a shocking speed through the limbs.
She slowed down as she neared the edge of the clearing, and dropped out of the trees into complete chaos.
The first thing she noticed was that they had retrieved all of the foals, and the second thing was that one of them was crippled on the grass. She cantered over to Dovefrost, intrigued by the mare’s work. She hadn’t know Dovefrost knew some medicine mare remedies, for that was something Marlcloud was lacking in.
The mare had stayed right where she was, glaring feverishly at Strikewing, her eyes sharp and rigid like blades. She was seeing right through him. She could tell he was in pain his mate had betrayed him for her three foals, but then again, who could blame her?
Lilith entered the camp, accompanied by Thea, Kifo, and the filly that was apparently called Astoria, minutes before Vida called out. Then next few minutes following this were filled with confusion, especially after a strange mare dropped out of the sky, and clamed to be the twin's mother. Thankfully, regardless of who she was, she seemed to know how to save Vida and began ordering foals around. But once the filly looked like she was going to be okay, Lilith walked up to the new mare. "Who are you? Why are you here?" she demanded, "And where is Merlcloud?"
Astro watched as Vida fell to the ground and called out for help. The gray colt couldn't help but feel distain for the other foal, everything she did was just so dramatic. Ture, this time it did seem a bit warranted, but still, telling what's-his-name ?Raphael? that she wasn't going to make it did seem a bit much. And it didn't seem to help the situation when some random mare dropped in out of nowhere and started ordering the foals around. Where was Merlcloud? Hadn't she been very clear about the fact that the foals were to ovoid contact with unknown pegasi? Also, it did seemed a bit troubling that this mare was able to find the camp, like, the foals weren't even able to find it very easily and they lived there!
He swiveled his ears in two directions; the first was to Thea, who had just entered the clearing, and the second was to Vida, ill on the ground. Figuring Vida needed more help at the moment, he galloped over to where she currently lay, convulsing on the ground. Behind his calm and collected mask, his heart was racing in fear and anxiety. He didn’t want Vida to die, especially not from a few berries. So he went with Raphael to get her lots of water to force down her throat. It was painstaking, and by the end he wouldn’t have even been ab;e to fly if his wings worked, his feathers were so soaked.
Raphael shushes her and pours noir water down her throat. “You will make it! we just have to dilute the poiso.” he says it forcefulily, which surprises him. he has never been loud with anything but joy and pretending to be joyful. He sniffled and goes for more water
Vida:"Ugh, owww," Vida's wings fluttered. "Raphael.... I.... Don't...... think... I will.... make ....it, Please care for Kifo.... And tell Bakari.... That I am sorry, Iden too......"
Dovecloud:"Yes they are! How did you know?!" Dovefrost straitened Vida's neck to help her breathe. "Do you know her? What did they do to help them!?" She loved how kind this young foal was.
"My mother taught me enough I can cure some things, What was she eating? Sow me the food!" She walked over to Vida and opened her mouth, out spilled some forest berries. Vida flinched and moved away.
"She ate those!" Dovefrost shouted. "They are poison. Get me some water. Hurry!"
Raphael flinches away, wishing his own mother cared for him. “Get a medicine mare from somewhere! Is anyone a healer! Are you a healer?” He asks Dovefrost.
Raphael leaps up and sprints for the rest of the herd. “Vida is hurt! Help!“ He bellows as load as he can. “Help!” He runs back to vida, barely noticing the strange mare. “I got help! Hold on! It will be okay.” He doesn’t even try to hold back the tears. “It will be okay vida.”
"Ughh." Vida winced as her sides heaved and she lost her footing, "Raphael, go get help!" Then she bent in two and gave a short gasp.
Dovefrost:Dovefrost had been flying for 2 hours and then she slowly landed in the center of the Trap. "I am looking for my twin foals, 'Vida and Kifo,' have you seen them!"When she looked around she saw a blue winged young colt start to back away from her.
"Colt, who are you?" Dovefrost asked.
"I am Kifo," Pointing to the red winged filly, who was laying twisted on the ground, "That is Vida and you abandoned us!"
Raphael stands in silence for a few minutes, then starts to eat as well. His mind briefly flicks to redlea, his mother, and how she helped drive him from willow herd. He blinks rapidly to get rid of the tears and forces another smile while he eats
Vida:Vida smiled gently and softly said, "I d don't know anyone and I don't think that there is a medicine mare. M My name is Vida." Her head drooped and some tears fell, "I have a lot of dead as well. We all have our demons, Raphael. Mine are just to big." She bent her neck and slowly started eating.
”I am Raphael. Are you hurt?” Raphael looks concerned and shifts his weight from hoof to hoof. “I have had more than enough wounded and dead in my life. If you are, you should get a medicine mare“ he looks sad, then forces a smile. “Who are you?”
"Hey Kifo can I go do something?" She asked her brother.
"Sure, Vida."
Vida walked slowly over to the foal they called Raphael. His eyes were like her's and Lilith's and all the other foals, showing the hurt, despair and hope. "Hi.... W Who are you?"
Bumbleberry slowly stood up and looking up he gasped, "A Ablick... Ablick, lok." He pranced and then he slowly jumped into the sky and flapping his wings he squealed. "ABICK LOK!" He hovered above Anblick.
Dovefrost:Dovefrost stumbled back, her mind swam, "My...... foals!?" She was suddenly very angry. "STRIKEWING YOU LIED TO ME!" She screamed at him. Jumping into the sky she spread her huge wings, longer than any mare's wings should be.
8 of Strikewing's soldiers jumped into the sky after her. But with a few blows they all dropped. "I Am going back to Shadow herd to Live with MY foals in PEACE!" She jumped into the sky and asked Marlcloud to follow her.
Strikewing:Stormcloud snuggled close to him. He watched Dovecloud fly back to the Trap. She had made her choice and it was to go back to her foals. He was haunted by the thoughts that he had killed his foals. And now she was gone.
She still was not intimidated by any of them, in fact sending a glare in the direction of Duskwing for reacting so violently, as if she were scolding one of her foals. When she listened to Strikewing, she hid her shock. Vida and Kifo? The two new arrivals?
Vida:Vida looked up and gave a short squeal, "KIFO!" She jumped into the sky and flew to her brothers side.
"Vida your here." They laughed and landed.
Vida saw the foal they called Raphael. She glanced at him from under her forelock. She wondered about him, he seemed kind and she debated walking over to him. She shook her mane and turned away.
Bumbleberry:Flying with Anblick had made him tired, "A... Ablick?" Bumbleberry tried to speak. "P... Play?"
He sighed in relief as Thea and the others landed. Finally, all the Star foals safe and sound in one place. The excited sounds of happy nickers and whinnies rose in his ears as the foals greeting each other and talked excitedly about their first missions together.
The small expanse of clearing stretched out under her hooves and she excitedly pumped her wings faster. The blobs of colors started to form into recognizable features and her eyes set on Bakari's bright aqua wings.
She angled her wings and prepared to land. She stumbled hard as she landed, thanks to her inexperience at flying.
But, she recovered, and watched as the other foals landed behind her.
Thea scanned for Bakari and when she saw him, she fluttered her wings and sent him a happy grin.
Strikewing:"Not killing you and your foal was my Mistake Marl and I will not make it again! Dovefrost," He spat the name, "Should Die! S-"
"I don't think that I should die because I care about them, Marlcloud is my best friend." Dovefrost said calmly.
"Then you know about the twins!" Strikewing laughed.
"What... What twins?" Dovefrost said.
"Your twins. The ones that you thought died."Dovecloud gave a short scream, "WHAT!!"
Strikewing said, "Yes your twins. The dead ones, or not. They were some of Marl's foals and so I banished them and 2 months later found them in the vein with Mistburr and Thunderbrook. You foals are called, 'Vida and Kifo' and they are alive." He relished her look of shock.
She gave sidelong gaze at Strikewing, but betrayed nothing in her expression and said calmly, “I have done nothing wrong, Strikewing. It was you al who decided to banish me an my foal, not to kill us on the spot. That was your decision. Now it is time to make my decision, and I say that Dovefrost is innocent and allowed to to live out the rest of her life. I may not have an army, or an ego like some of you, but I have foals who need protecting, and I won’t let anything stand in the way of them.”
Astoria- Astoria walked into the clearing, spreading her wings for the first time in what seemed like days. She looked around and was completely mesmerized by what she saw. After a while, she looked over and saw Vida crying. Like the motherly figure Astoria was, she walked over and put one large wing over Vida's back, pulling her close. (I know Astoria is younger than Vida, but she is a motherly-like figure.) "What's wrong, Vida?"
Vida:Vida shied away from Iden. When she had been walking she decided that Bakari liked Iden and not her and though she really liked him she decided that it was best for them all if she left him alone, "You are wrong and I don't want to talk about it," She turned so that Iden could not see the tears streaming down her face.
Strikewing:Strikewing was furious that Marlcloud was here. They had banished her and the foals. "Rights Marl! What rights. Even your name is a lie. Your vote will not change what I do with... Her," He spat. He was the tallest and had the larges wings. He reared and spread them, "You, Marl, and Dove. Are both traitors and deserve death-"Dovefrost:"Liar! I chose the life of my foal! And my own. Marlcloud should not have been banished and nether should the foals. They for the first time in my life have shown kindness to me. So yes I have made my choice I choose Shadow herd and I choose life, I choose kindness and I am sure that anyone who wants to join us may. I speak as head captain in Marlcloud's army."
Jadecloud-Jadecloud flared her nostrils, angrily. She backed up, and took off, a large dark blotch against the bright blue sky. "I will get them... And my filly will die soon enough..."
The mare’s eyes widened in utter shock, even though her expression quickly smoothed over as the conversation continued.
They thought her innocent? They thought it rude and disrespectful for Strikewing to say such things? This couldn’t have been better! As she leaned farther forward to get a better look of the newcomers, she made note of their colors, their height, and their wingspan’s. When the lead-mare spoke up, her nose wrinkled in utter disgust. Death as a punishment? For what? Wanting to be with her foal, or just simply choosing between two herds?
As she listened in, she began to have half a mind about jumping down. Technically, she was a leader, and currently, the votes were at a tie. Strikewing and Jadecloud wanted her dead, whereas Dustwing and Adakitewing wanted her alive.
As the though grew on her, she took the bait and gracefully glided down from her perch in the highest of the trees. The first reaction out of the other leaders was pure shock and utter hostility. She quickly said in a loud voice, “I am Marlcloud, the lead-mare of Shadow Herd, and I find it within my right to vote on her punishment. After all, I am still in a position of power, with or without an over-stallion.” The one who she figured out was Adakitewing bowed his head and approval.
What Marlcloud didn’t know was that Adakitewing was impressed with the fact Marlcloud had survived the birth. most others hadn’t, and had been stubborn and loyal enough to stay with her foal, and to protect the rest.
Bakari:
Dovefrost:
Bakari:
“C’mon, Thea!” He commanded, his voice resonate and firm as she scrambled towards the tree. “I’ll go and help Vida,” he promised as he bolted in the opposite direction. He was worried, but not even that could break through his hard mask of indifference and determination as he sped towards Vida and Dovefrost, straight towards the ice tigers.
Where was Marlcloud?
Anblick:
He stared at his friend, "Climb, Thea, or I swear I'm waiting here with you." He snapped, then quickly shoved Thea towards the tree.
She looked close to tears and she was trembling, shedding dark purple feathers as she ran towards the tree. Thea's eyes were rimmed with white and her heart pounded.
Iden:
She flew up the tree and scouted The best way for Bakari and Anblick to climb up.
"Here" she said showing them a safe way. Once they were at the top she thought about what to do.
"I've been studying these animals. They are skiddish, like other cats. We should be able to use that to our advantage." She said trying to think of a way to save her friends.
(Dragon? Could you make part 3? It's really laggy on my computer)
Kifo: Kifo panicked and started to try to go after Vida.
Anblick:
Silren:
She panicked as she saw a gray figure dive down from a tree. Originally, she had thought it was another ice tiger, but then noticed the figure too big for that, and realized it was Astro coming to her rescue. She bolted in the direction of the foals, following Astro as quickly as she could. She felt much gratitude towards him and wondered why everyone thought him so rough around the edges. He had just saved her life, and nothing she could ever do would repay him. “Thank you, Astro!” She shouted to him as she continued to gallop after him.
Lilith-
"What a day." muttered Lilith, as she rushed after the other foals.
Vida: Vida whinnied and started to run back to camp but she stopped and looked at Bakari and said, "No Mater What Happens to me KEEP running and get Kifo and Bumbleberry safe, Thea too."
Bumbleberry: Bumbleberry panicked when they had all started being loud. He climbed onto Anblicks back and when they started to run he thought they were playing a game.
Bakari:
He flicked his ears to Thea and said, “I was looking for Marlcloud. She hasn’t yet returned from her journey to find the foals, and I’m wondering if she’s safe. I also am concerned to as where Silren has run off to, again.” He heaved an exasperated sigh at that last part. His cousin was always running off when she wasn’t supposed to, but the only problem was that she could go unseen and unheard into the shadows as if she were never there.
Raphael
raphael looks around. ”does anyone need help?”
Thea:
Upon looking over her shoulder, she saw Bakari and Anblick both searching for something. She slowed a little, not wanting to leave them. She slowed to where she was cantering alongside Bakari. Thea asked, "What's wrong? Who are you looking for?" She called to both the colts.
Anblick:
He responded with a worried whinny, "It's Silren. I can't see her and I don't know where she is!" He called to Thea and Bakri, who also looked anxious about something.
Raphael
Raphael turns to bumbleberry “do you need hel?”
Bakari:
He followed quickly after Thea, making up quite the distance within only 4 of his great strides. He looked behind him to make sure everyone else was following. The biggest burning question in his mind involved his aunt, Marlcloud. Where was she?
Thea:
Bakari:
Raphael

Thea:
Iden:
(Is this too much?)
(anyone else here?)
(i have to go so bye be on maybe tomarrow)
Anblick:
At the sound of his name, he followed Bumbleberry to the strong mare who was most likely his dam. "H-Hello... Y-Your son was ver-ry brave..." He stuttered, feeling awkward around this large mare before him. Anblick glanced at Bumbleberry and winked to the colt, playfully.
Vida:
Vida jumped when she heard Thea's voice then she turned away saying, "I better leave you alone." With that she pushed off and flew to Kifo.
Thea;
(wowzers)
Dovefrost:
Lilith annoyed her, "I just moved here." She whistled for Bumbleberry and he came trotting to her. "Mama look, my friend Ablick."
"I am Merlcloud's best friend. I trust her with my life and the lives of my foals, all 3 of them."
Lilith-
Lilith lashed her tail at this newcomer that seemed not to be aware that her sudden arrival was causing some unrest among the foals.
Dovefrost:
Dovefrost was irritated that people kept asking her that, "My name is Dovefrost. I live here. And Marlcloud is right there." She pointed her wing tip at her.
Lilith-
Lilith cleared her throat, "Why are you here?" she repeated, gazing at the strange mare, "Where is Merlcloud?"
Vida:
Vida felt bad making everyone work to help her, "Thank you." Vida ate it and then she tried to stand up, she swayed and then she manged to use her wings to balance her.
( Well, then why is she getting close to Bakari? )
Bakari:
He nodded curtly and disposed of the water to start digging his hoof at the grass around a particular tree a few winglengths away. He scooped up the grass, gathered the moss, and returned to Vida with an indifferent expression and offered it to her.
(I know that Nightsong lol. But Bakari doesn’t know that, not yet, at least. He is completely oblivious, and I think that suits him. )
Vida:
Vida coughed and said, 'Dovefrost may I eat?"
"Yes," Dovefrost said.
Vida said gently to Bakari, "Can you get me some moss or something."
Bakari:
He ignored her statement and hushed her with a flourish as he poured the water slowly into her mouth. “Vida, stop that now. You need to cooperate and stop focusing on other pegasi.” He quickly went back to the stream and carried another wingful to Vida, ready to dump in her mouth.
Vida:
Vida glared at him again but opened her mouth, "Don't you know that at least Thea likes you." She silently cried her tears creating rings of flowers around her.
Bakari:
If he hadn’t of been carrying a wingful of water, he might have stumbled back and his expression faltered. Thea or Iden? What was Vida going on about? ‘Vida, I don’t know what you’re talking about, but you are not dying today. Now, open your mouth or I will dump this all over you and continue to do so until you open your mouth.” His voice was stern and on the borderline of frustration, but his eyes still had that same splotch of green in their paleness.
Vida:
Vida glared at him, "I Want to die!" She mumbled. She opened her mouth a little. "What do You care about me, You have Thea or Iden you don't need to worry about me!"
Bakari:
His gaze resumed its calm and coolness as he sternly commanded, “Vida, open your mouth. If you die because of this, I swear to you I will suffer from now until my death.”
Vida:
Vida looked away from Bakari and lay still, refusing to open her mouth. She did not want him to see her like this
Bakari:
He took off in a very fast paced gallop to the stream, scooped another wingful of water and brought back, without spilling not one drop, to Dovefrost and gently asking Vida to open her mouth wider and coaxing the water down her throat. “It’ll be alright, Vida. We’ve got you.” He said, partly to calm himself, but mostly to reassure her.
Dovefrost:
She glared at Astro, feeling his distan for her foal. "Astro you dont have to be here if you dont want too."
She looked at Vida and saw her breathing was getting easier. "Bakari, Raphael get me some water. Marlcloud can you get some grass and moss for her." Her voice was growing less panicked.
Vida: Vida looked around and saw Bakari, she looked down and thought, "I wish I could die!" She gave a sob and where the tears landed firey red flowers.
Marlcloud:
Marlcloud:
The mare had stayed right where she was, glaring feverishly at Strikewing, her eyes sharp and rigid like blades. She was seeing right through him. She could tell he was in pain his mate had betrayed him for her three foals, but then again, who could blame her?
Lilith-
Lilith entered the camp, accompanied by Thea, Kifo, and the filly that was apparently called Astoria, minutes before Vida called out.
Astro-
Astro watched as Vida fell to the ground and called out for help.
Raphael
Raphael helps Bakari and holds back his tears,
( ? What do you mean by ”Whew!” ? )
(Whew!)
Bakari:
( oof Sorry I was getting ready for a party this evening XD )
Raphael
Raphael shushes her and pours noir water down her throat. “You will make it! we just have to dilute the poiso.” he says it forcefulily, which surprises him. he has never been loud with anything but joy and pretending to be joyful. He sniffled and goes for more water
(she won’t die, will she?)
Vida: "Ugh, owww," Vida's wings fluttered. "Raphael.... I.... Don't...... think... I will.... make ....it, Please care for Kifo.... And tell Bakari.... That I am sorry, Iden too......"
Raphael
“old stories. I kind of know vida. They straightened their necks so they could breathe and gave them lots of water.” Raphael runs to get more water
Dovecloud: "Yes they are! How did you know?!" Dovefrost straitened Vida's neck to help her breathe. "Do you know her? What did they do to help them!?" She loved how kind this young foal was.
Raphael
Raphael sprints to a stream and scoops water up with his wings. “Are those what star’s friends ate?” He asks as he pours water down vidas throat
Dovefrost:
"My mother taught me enough I can cure some things, What was she eating? Sow me the food!" She walked over to Vida and opened her mouth, out spilled some forest berries. Vida flinched and moved away.
"She ate those!" Dovefrost shouted. "They are poison. Get me some water. Hurry!"
Raphael
Raphael flinches away, wishing his own mother cared for him. “Get a medicine mare from somewhere! Is anyone a healer! Are you a healer?” He asks Dovefrost.
Vida:
Vida gasped and let out a soft sob.
Dovefrost: Dovefrost ran to Raphael and said, "What can I do to help her. She is my foal!"
Raphael
Raphael leaps up and sprints for the rest of the herd. “Vida is hurt! Help!“ He bellows as load as he can. “Help!” He runs back to vida, barely noticing the strange mare. “I got help! Hold on! It will be okay.” He doesn’t even try to hold back the tears. “It will be okay vida.”
Vida:
"Ughh." Vida winced as her sides heaved and she lost her footing, "Raphael, go get help!" Then she bent in two and gave a short gasp.
Dovefrost: Dovefrost had been flying for 2 hours and then she slowly landed in the center of the Trap. "I am looking for my twin foals, 'Vida and Kifo,' have you seen them!" When she looked around she saw a blue winged young colt start to back away from her.
"Colt, who are you?" Dovefrost asked.
"I am Kifo," Pointing to the red winged filly, who was laying twisted on the ground, "That is Vida and you abandoned us!"
Raphael
Raphael stands in silence for a few minutes, then starts to eat as well. His mind briefly flicks to redlea, his mother, and how she helped drive him from willow herd. He blinks rapidly to get rid of the tears and forces another smile while he eats
Vida: Vida smiled gently and softly said, "I d don't know anyone and I don't think that there is a medicine mare. M My name is Vida." Her head drooped and some tears fell, "I have a lot of dead as well. We all have our demons, Raphael. Mine are just to big." She bent her neck and slowly started eating.
Raphael
”I am Raphael. Are you hurt?” Raphael looks concerned and shifts his weight from hoof to hoof. “I have had more than enough wounded and dead in my life. If you are, you should get a medicine mare“ he looks sad, then forces a smile. “Who are you?”
Vida:
"Hey Kifo can I go do something?" She asked her brother.
"Sure, Vida."
Vida walked slowly over to the foal they called Raphael. His eyes were like her's and Lilith's and all the other foals, showing the hurt, despair and hope. "Hi.... W Who are you?"
)How?)
Yes!
)Okay, thanks!)
(Are they friends)
Bumbleberry:
Bumbleberry lands and points at Vida and Kifo, "Dem!"
Raphael
“Bumbleberru, what is it?!” Raphael looks up and searches the sky
Bumbleberry:
Bumbleberry slowly stood up and looking up he gasped, "A Ablick... Ablick, lok." He pranced and then he slowly jumped into the sky and flapping his wings he squealed. "ABICK LOK!" He hovered above Anblick.
Dovefrost: Dovefrost stumbled back, her mind swam, "My...... foals!?" She was suddenly very angry.
Strikewing: Stormcloud snuggled close to him. He watched Dovecloud fly back to the Trap. She had made her choice and it was to go back to her foals. He was haunted by the thoughts that he had killed his foals. And now she was gone.
Duskwing:
He waited patiently. This was useless. He wanted an answer.
Marlcloud:
She still was not intimidated by any of them, in fact sending a glare in the direction of Duskwing for reacting so violently, as if she were scolding one of her foals. When she listened to Strikewing, she hid her shock. Vida and Kifo? The two new arrivals?
Raphael
“Can I play to, bumbleberry?“
Vida: Vida looked up and gave a short squeal, "KIFO!" She jumped into the sky and flew to her brothers side.
"Vida your here." They laughed and landed.
Vida saw the foal they called Raphael. She glanced at him from under her forelock. She wondered about him, he seemed kind and she debated walking over to him. She shook her mane and turned away.
Bumbleberry: Flying with Anblick had made him tired, "A... Ablick?" Bumbleberry tried to speak. "P... Play?"
Raphael
“Hi! I am Raphae! I am hungry! I dont know why I said tha.” he mutters the last sentence. He trots to the food and eati
Anblick:
He sighed in relief as Thea and the others landed. Finally, all the Star foals safe and sound in one place. The excited sounds of happy nickers and whinnies rose in his ears as the foals greeting each other and talked excitedly about their first missions together.
Thea:
The small expanse of clearing stretched out under her hooves and she excitedly pumped her wings faster. The blobs of colors started to form into recognizable features and her eyes set on Bakari's bright aqua wings.
She angled her wings and prepared to land. She stumbled hard as she landed, thanks to her inexperience at flying.
But, she recovered, and watched as the other foals landed behind her.
Thea scanned for Bakari and when she saw him, she fluttered her wings and sent him a happy grin.
(AHHHH!!! Sorry! I've been busy!)
Okay! Thanks!
Yup
(Anyone home?)
Strikewing: "Not killing you and your foal was my Mistake Marl and I will not make it again!
The ones that you thought died." Dovecloud gave a short scream, "WHAT!!"
Strikewing said, "Yes your twins. The dead ones, or not. They were some of Marl's foals and so I banished them and 2 months later found them in the vein with Mistburr and Thunderbrook. You foals are called, 'Vida and Kifo' and they are alive." He relished her look of shock.
(where is Raphael?)
Duskwing:
He had enough. He reared up. He was the height of Star so it was easy to get everyones attention.
"Strikewing." he said circling the stallion "I've had enough. Make your move!!"
( It’s okay Starleaf! I don’t really mind! In fact, I have seen much worse characters do much worse things xD )
Marlcloud:
She gave sidelong gaze at Strikewing, but betrayed nothing in her expression and said calmly, “I have done nothing wrong, Strikewing. It was you al who decided to banish me an my foal, not to kill us on the spot. That was your decision. Now it is time to make my decision, and I say that Dovefrost is innocent and allowed to to live out the rest of her life. I may not have an army, or an ego like some of you, but I have foals who need protecting, and I won’t let anything stand in the way of them.”
(see y'all later. Like maybe on Saturday, but maybe next Wednesday.)
(NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I HAVE TO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHYYYYYYYYYYYY?????????)
(oh right I need sleep.)
(Where is Kifo?)
Vida: Vida shied away from Iden. When she had been walking she decided that Bakari liked Iden and not her and though she really liked him she decided that it was best for them all if she left him alone, "You are wrong and I don't want to talk about it," She turned so that Iden could not see the tears streaming down her face.
Strikewing: Strikewing was furious that Marlcloud was here. They had banished her and the foals. "Rights Marl! What rights. Even your name is a lie. Your vote will not change what I do with... Her," He spat. He was the tallest and had the larges wings. He reared and spread them, "You, Marl, and Dove. Are both traitors and deserve death-" Dovefrost: "Liar!
Duskwing:
He saw the lead mare but paid no attention to her. (Im not trying to be mean but thats just his personality. Si please dont take offence)
"So Strikewing. Whats it going to be." He said standing tall and proud.
Marlcloud:
Thanks
