Ivyspring:
She sighed harshly, but nickered gently, amused, “If that’s what your worried about, then we’ll take care of it. Like I said, bringing harm to you is pointless.”
Brokenfire:
Brokenfire inspected her gaze, and then conlcluded she could see through it. ”You aren’t very deceptive, for I now know you can see through the fold. You would not have been able to point the trees out. Looks like a few more layers are need,” he snorted.
Grabbing 3 more leaves, he wrapped them around her head. ”Now, how well can you see?”
Caita, "I could only see threw it with light." she stated to him, she stepped into the small patch that she knew was there and looked around, "Only barely, not enough to point out anything small, but the bigger the tree the more a shadow is there. So I can see slightly but not enough to make out details." she stated to him in a calm nicker as she kept looking around but she could barely even see anything even in the light.
Caita, "Here this explains it better. Everything is dark, but there is a few spots with shimmers of light that I can, but their small and I can only see the bigger thing not the small details." she stated explaining what she saw threw the blindfold as best she could.
(I wasn’t sure which comment you wanted in the post, Echolake, so I just put both. It’s that alright? Cuz I can totally change it! )
Summary:
Basically, Brokenfire’s group (What should we call them???) has traded Frayan for Caita, and they have now removed Caita’s flight feathers and blindfolded her. Kifo was resurrected by Windborn (YAYAYAY!!!! :D) and.. uh... I think that’s it...?
I was wondering... Do you guys think it would be a good idea to start a roleplay I’ve been meaning to start? I just wasn’t sure, considering Challenge RP is still new....
Mossroot:
She flapped her wings harder, willing her old wings to keep carrying her. She quickly saw the sea of trees spread out before her and she landed on the outskirts. The medicine mare cantered forward deeper into the Trap, following the deer trails so she wouldn’t get lost. Soon, she found a massive oak tree adorned with Trap moss and Mossroot grabbed as many strands of moss into her teeth as she could, then turned and bolted away to return it to her herd.
Thea:
“Don’t you think you’ll need help? Certainly Stormfire will guard Caita well-shouldn’t you bring back up?” She offered kindly, bowing her head to show no disrespect.
Marlcloud:
Marlcloud glared at them all. ”You all are so confient in yourselves, and that is not a good thing,” she muttered. Then, louder, she announced, ”The plan is for you all to learn how to fight, yes? Then you all will stay here and learn to fight, while I shall go and rescue my daughter.”
Marlcloud glared deeply at them, daring any of them to object and face the consequences.
Windborn:
He was shedding feathers like crazy from the stress. "I don't know!" He said.
Estrel:
"Vividgray will you please come here and hel me calm down Windborn" He asked gently
Estrel:
He nodded. "Yes but I don't want to be defined only by my powers. I want to be defined by who I am not who my powers make me." He said
Hugur nodded, "True. But we need to learn how to live as similar to how our enemies do. If you want to understand all concepts of a battle, then you must first understand the lives of your enemies, otherwise you may lose. One flaw like that could cause life or death, so I suggest that learning how to fight with our hooves and wings would be a wise decision, but then adding our own twist with our powers will make us even harder to beat." he stated looking from Estrel to Marlcloud with a strange calm gaze.
Estrel:
"That's not true!" He said. "Our powers are not the only thing that makes us unique! This herd makes us unique! The things we have lived through make us unique. Our powers add but they are not all of what makes us, us." he said
Marlcloud:
”Tell me then, Iden, what happens when you make a mistake? What happens, when you kill? What will you do?” She asked simply, nodding to Mossroot her approval with a worried glance at Vida.
( I’ll get a new part )
Kifo:
He saw Vida and snapped to Frayan, "Watch Jeray!" he ran toward Vida and as he got there her bubble deflated. Seemed to withdraw into her and she went still. To Kifo she seemed dead. He didn't even see her sides move to indicate her breathing. "What happened?!" He asked franticly as he nossedher
Mossroot:
She cantered towards Vida and Seaglare, and immediately understood what was happening.
“Vida needs moss from the Trap. She told me that if she doesn’t eat it, it weakens her.“ She informed Seaglade, then frowned deeply and spoke louder for Marlcloud to hear. “But you shouldn’t go to the Trap to retrieve the moss. Caita’s captor’s might still be there. Let me go-it’ll be less suspicious for me to be seen there instead of a Star foal.”
Vida:
"Trap..." She whispered understanding why her body reacted like this.
Kifo:
He felt off then realized eh didn't see Vida. "Vida?" He called out
Marlcloud:
Marlcloud glared at them all, lashing her tail in anger. ”You all want to learn how to kill? Fine. Learn how to kill,” she snorted. “But, if you are ever treated horribly by families of those you’ve killed, don’t cry to me,” she said harshly.
The moment she’d said it, she regretted it. She did not enjoy regret, but she did know that most of what she said was always true.
Seaglade:
Seaglade’s eyes flew open and he knealt as close as he could to her protective fire bubble. ”Not again, please, Vida, wake up..!” He grunted, testing the firey surface with his wingtip only for it to burn slightly.
Vida:
Her head started to throb and her vission began to dim. "Not again.' She whispered as she sank to the ground. She felt a small fire and looking around with her fading sight she saw that her powers had created a bubble of fire locking her inside where she would be safe. "No!" She groaned before blacking out
Iden:
She furrowed her brow, “Marlcloud I get it, but we are a bunch of foals. Everyone out there, everyone hunting us, are strong trained warriors. We need something other than just our powers to defend us.“ She rattled her wings softly, as she spoke to her leader. She didnt disagree with Marlcloud often, she learned it was better to pick and choose her battles with the wise mare.
Marlcloud:
Marlcloud hated this idea. The day the star foals needed to learn how to fight..... ”I do not like this proposal. The star foals should not ever have a need to learn combat,” she said in a low voice.
Marlcloud:
Marlcloud glared at Whitesky, pitifully. ”I already know this. But, that does not excuse the reason she was away from Shadow Herd enough to become captured. That was one of my most important rules,” she said sternly, turning her gaze back on Windborn.
Thea:
She lowered her head slightly in respect when she saw Marlcloud. When no one answered immediately, Thea flutteredher feathers and took a step forward.
“I don’t know all the details, Marlcloud, but apparently, Caita has been captured by Stormfire and his herd. Obviously, we need to rescue her, but we need a plan. Windborn could tell you specifically what happened.” She said, then stepped aside so Marlcloud could see Windborn.
(I'm lossstttttt alreadyyyyy)
Vida:
She shook her head, "No..... I jsut feel distress." She whispered
Thea:
She nodded to Tideflight, but then turned back to Windborn. “Exactly. Thank you Tideflight for having some sense.” She said, snarky, but stepped away from Windborn and looked around for Marlcloud.
“Now, we need a plan.”
Whitesky, "Their fighting over Caita. She was captured by stormfire's steeds, and who knows where she is by now." he stated to her calmly waiting for her response.
Caita waited for the steeds to grab her wing, but she kept a tight grip on the rock, if they wanted to carry her they would have to watch out for it.
Twistflight heard his mom's name multiple times and heard about her being captured. He was tired of hearing the yelling he trotted over to them, "ALL OF YOU STOP IT! Sitting here and fighting about it won't do us any good!! But running back to her with no plans may get yourself killed!" he brayed angrily at them glaring at Windborn when he talked about running back to her.
Seaglade:
He shook his head. ”I do not know, Vida,” he said sorrowfully. ”But, I will look for her if you desire so.”
(Misty Vida keeps talking to Seaglade but you aren't answering)
Thea:
She huffed, offended, and pinned her ears. “No, I wouldn’t! And don’t bring Bakari into this! I know that I’m not strong enough to fight them alone-we’re called a herd for a reason.“
She spat, then rattled her wings. “Listen! I’m trying to help you to help Caita. But rushing in without a plan to ‘save’ her is not going to work.”
Windborn:
"No! If it was Bakari who was captured you would be doing this too!" He said
Thea:
She rammed Windborn again, this time harder. “Stop! Running off recklessly isn’t going to save her! There’s no way you’ll rescue her by yourself. Either you’ll be killed or captured along with her and instead of helping her, you’ll cause an even bigger problem! Stop!”
She whinnied loudly and shamelessly. Flaring her nostrils, she exhaled sharply.
Windborn:
"I have to save her!" He said starting to run again.
Kifo:
"I have to go speak to Marlcloud. Jeray do you want to stay here or go with me?" She asked.
Vida:
"Seaglade.... Where's Caita?" She asked searching wth her eyes
Ivyspring:
She nodded and stiffly opened her wings. They had to make it out of the Trap first-the trees were to tight to fly through. So, using her spy training and agile body and weaves around the trees, hovering gently over Caita’s head.
Thea:
”We need a plan.” She said simply, fluttering her wings and watching around.
Thea:
She dramatically rolled her eyes and rushed after Windborn, pumping her wings to put on a burst of speed. She rammed him to the ground and pinned him down with her wings.
"What is your deal? We're stronger together! We'll get Caita back, I promise, but you can't do it alone." She said, before stepping back and letting Windborn go, but still watched him to make sure he didn't recklessly run off again.
Thea:
She nodded, "No doubt. If Stormfire is leading them, he most likely captured Caita to either make a pact with her or to use her as a spy and get information about Shadow herd from her. Which is why we have to rescue her as soon as possible."
Thea:
She rubbed her forehead with her wingtips, as if to soothe a headache. She glared at Windborn with pinned ears.
"Then what's the point of a Healer if just any random Star foal can bring someone back from the dead?! Kifo was dead for a long time. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to save him-Heck, Star himself probably couldn't either-so how were you able to?!"
She fired back, her wings flaring and her purple eyes blazing with intensity and frustration. "I'm from Sky herd, too. Several other Star foals are also from Sky herd, so don't pretend like you're the only one!" She added, before turning away from the colt. She inhaled deeply to try and calm her nerves, knowing that arguing was stupid.
Thea:
”Windborn, where is Caita?” she stated again, blowing a huff of cold air into his face to wake him up. “Focus! What-“ She overheard voices and flicked her ears backward.
She listened to Kifo, Frayan, and Jerat’s conversation, before turning to face them and stomping her hoof. “No one is going alone. Caita is my friend too. Either we all go rescue her, or none of us do. Now, will someone please tell me what happened?! How is Kifo alive? Where is Caita?” Thea snorted sharply, glancing from Windborn to Frayan.
Kifo:
"I have to help them but I can't just leave you Jeray." he said
Kifo:
"Yes.... No.... I don't know...." He said
Kifo:
He nodded but was saddened by the fact that Caita was captive. He hung his head and looked at the ground a tear falling but not sprouting a tear flower
Kifo:
He hugged the both, "I missed you so much!" he said
(Haha thats me with Vida!)
Kifo:
He led her to the lake. "Here." Then he waved to Frayan. "Hey frayan! We don't need the water anymore. Thea healed her." He nodded to the other stallion who dropped the water from his wings back into the lake and walked over to the small group
Thea:
She left Kifo and Jeray alone and trotted towards the tall, green grass as she felt her stomach growl angrily. She began grazing, but stopped short when she noticed Windborn comforting Tideflight. It was an odd sight to see Windborn standing alone-usually Caita was with him.
Now that she thought about it, where was Caita? The filly never ventured far from the herd, especially not without Windborn or Tideflight. She quickly trotted towards Windborn and nickered gently to get his attention. "Are you alright, Tideflight? What's wrong? What happened to Caita?" She asked, also noticing the sadness in the colt's eyes, which just made her even more concerned.
Thea;
She smiled and nodded, "Of course," She mumbled gently and slowly caught her breath. Her muscles ached and her wings sagged, but she stood tall and briefly exchanged breath with Jeray before stepping back and watching.
Kifo:
"Thank you Thea!" He said
(Hey RB, Did you see Caita's last comment?)
Thea:
“I got this. Jeray lay still and relax.” She nickered expertly. Checking to make sure the sun was shining brightly, she extended her purple wings and felt her tan Starfire swirling powerfully around in her gut, anxious to be let out.
Without waiting for an invitation, she pushed her healing light out of her wings. A few short seconds later, Thea felt Jeray’s fever decrease and her dizziness disappear. Satisfied that this would greatly help her friend, she folded her wings and stopped the flow of Starfire. She instantly felt her head pound and throb with pain, but it was a minor inconvenience for the better health of Jeray.
(Windborn told him)
Kifo:
"Where is frayan?!" He thought. Seeing a stallion he called out. "Please find Frayan and get some water!" he said.
Starbrooke:
He galloped toward the water. "Frayan?" He asked filling his wings with water from the lake
(uh Thea's probably about to heal Jeray idk if u wanna do anything there. Ivyspring is anxious to get moving and go back to Stormwing now that Caita is blindfolded and there's no eason to be waiting. Here I'll recomment Ivyspring's last comment for ya:
Ivyspring:
She flexed her wings and flapped them a couple times, satisfied that they could hold her weight. “Yes, I should be able to, so don’t worry about me.“ She nickered gently, before glaring silently at Caita.
“I’m more worried about the Star foal and her attitude. I’m not sure I can take much more of her.” She spat so only Brokenfire could hear her.
)
( Okay, I’m really sorry I’ve been procrastinating, but where am I needed? )
Thea:
Thea gently nuzzled Jeray, "It's all right, now. I've got you." Thea lifted her head and felt Jeray's chest with her wingtip. At the temperature, Thea gasped softly and looked at Kifo, "She's burning up!"
Other than the huge fever and the dizziness, Jeray looked fine. Thea rushed to Jeray's head and waved her wing in front of Jeray's eyes, "Jeray. Jeray! Focus. Can you see my wing?" Her voice was ultimately calm, but had an edge of concern.
Kifo:
He nodded and ran back to Jeray's side. He gently nudged her and whispered to her, "Jeray I need you to wake up now and tell me what hurts, honey."
Thea:
She winced gently as she remembered the inceident he was referring to, as if the memory caused old pain to resurface.
She shook her head hard and stamped her hoof, "Kifo, don't be absurd. You won't lose me-no one will. At least let me inspect Jeray. If she doesn't look like she needs my help, then I won't heal her." She offered, but before Kifo could respond, she turned and trotted the rest of the way towards Jeray.
"Hello, Jeray. It's Thea. Can you tell me what hurts? Is there anyway I can help?" She asked, and gently nudged the filly's shoulder.
Kifo:
"I saw what happened when you healed Vida..... I dont want to lose you!" He said
Thea:
She accepted Kifo’s forehead against her’s. She listened to what he had to say, then pulled her head away, and frowned. “It’s my job Kifo-my purpose. Asking me to not heal my friend is like asking the clouds to stop raining.”
She nickered sharply, before softening her gaze and moved even closer to Jeray, “I understand your concern, but please let me help.“
