*because of the short chapter, I'm posting another!! YAY!!!!!! Also, I didn't have a lot of homework today so I have time to post another!!*
Riverglade hadn't realized truly how injured her wings were until the stallions forced her back on the ground. Both sides had open wounds at the base, where Cloudfire's and the dark bay appaloosa stallion's teeth had had bit, hard, square in the middle, and they were now bleeding profusely.
As soon as they set her on the ground, Riverglade's wings began to throb uncontrollably. She thought she might faint from the pain, and fear. The fear only multiplied when she saw how outraged Hawkwing was that she got away.
Suddenly the overstallion tilted his massive head, as though he were thinking about something, and narrowed his eyes.
"You must be the filly of Stormwing and Brightcloud. What's your name?" He asked, addressing Riverglade.
She defiantly lifted her much smaller, blue head, and stared straight into Hawkwing's eyes. "Yes, I am. My name is Riverglade." Her voice was clear, making sure she hid any emotion or pain from them.
Hawkwing rocked sightly backwards, surprised at the boldness of such a young filly.
Mooncloud trotted towards Lightbreeze. "What's your name?" She asked the palomino. "L-Lightbreeze," She said, trembling.
STOP!" Hawkwing yelled at Mooncloud. He reared, slamming his hoove back onto the soil.
What?" She asked her mate, irritably.
"Canyon Herd could be carrying a plague. These fillies could be carriers. Stormwing may not have sent a message, hoping it would spread to the other herds without warning and wipe us out"
Riverglade attempted to rear in fury, but the stallions were still holding her. She huffed in anger. "Do you really think my father is immature enough to not send a messenger if Canyon Herd had a plague? We don't thankfully, but even if we did, Sablestone would have told you in your meetngs with him. Yeah, I know about those. Lightbreeze and I did some spying of our own."
Hawkwing pinned his ears, fed up with the filly. "Take out her flight feathers," He ordered the sky herders. "Do the palomino's too."
Riverglade saw a hoof come near her head, but nothing more. And then it all went black.
