-Echofrost-

What had just happened, Echofrost herself wasn't sure. A foal, Zela, was a Lake Herd descendant! After all this time, and now she discovers where they have been all this time? Somehow they had traveled across the Dark Water, and the humans had captured them. As she flew to Rahkki, she looked back at the queen talking to Zela. Her huge belly had become enormous. She wondered how Dewberry was doing. Her thoughts were interrupted by Lilliam's laughing. The sound was horrible. It sounded like a horse dying, and a cat screaming in pain. Then, Lilliam was screaming in pain. Clutching her stomach, the queen fell. Echofrost landed near her human and nudged him. Preoccupied, Rahkki kept shooing her away. Lost in his book, he was late to realize only in the next field his queen was suffering.

"What is it, Sula?" Finally, he looked up. Sula grabbed his shirt and dragged him away from his book. "What's that noise?" Suddenly, he noticed a figure close by.

Running as fast as he could, he asked the person, "Are you alright?"

"You!" the queen spat. "Of course I'm not okay! My child is on the way. Put me on that pegasus and deliever me to the palace!" When Rahkki made no attempt to move, she glared at him, then sighed, "Please."

Surprised, but happy, he helped her onto Echofrost. The flight to the palace was fast, but agonizing. Lilliam kept groaning and moaning, but otherwise stayed quiet. Regarding the landing, Echofrost was quite embarrassed. Not her best work, but at least everyone was still in one piece.

"Guards!" Lilliam shouted with strength Echofrost didn't think she had. "Arrest this boy at once! He tired to kidnap me, but then I said I would let him off easy if I got here safely. As if. He took pity on me because I am about to have my child. Doctor!"

Shocked, Rahkki couldn't answer right away, "Are you trying to arrest me, after I just saved you and your child?"

The queen scoffed, "I've been trying to get rid of you and your brother for years. It's my word against yours. Your precious uncle won't be able to help you this time."

"But, why would you do that? I'm sure Princess-."

Lilliam cut his off, "You don't know anything about me or my daughters. Stay away from my family. My dragon can always use another snack."

Whatever Rahkki was going to say, stuck in his throat.

The guards ran swiftly to their queen's side. "What would you like us to do, ma'am?"

"Let the boy go. But know this, Rahkki. I am letting you go this once, to show you mercy," For something he didn't do! Echofrost silently added. "It won't happen again. Am I understood?"

Rahkki nodded, still unable to speak. He climbed on Echofrost, and they left in silence, until Rahkki blurted, "I cannot believe her! Who knew she would sink so low?"

Echofrost nickered softly. "I know, Sula. At least it isn't like mother like daughter."

He sighed. Echofrost's mind raced as she thought about the morning. I've been trying to get rid of you and your brother for years still rang in her ears. What was Lilliam planning? Suddenly, Echofrost remembered Zela. Was she okay? What happened to her when she was taking the queen to her palace? She vaguely remembered someone leading Zela away. Why hadn't they helped the queen? He/she had been much closer. What was going on?
