So I'm challenging you to draw a fairy tale that I assign as a pegasus. Tell me in the comments that you want to enter and I'll give you a fairy tale to draw!
Here is Sugarflight redesign! Pretty much everything is the same with symbolism. The red hoof hair (don't know what it's called) represents the witch's cruelty to Hansel and Gretel. She has one black sock. This will be my entry. Enjoy!
Here's a link to the post I made about him: Lionfire 🦁
Some of the design details I pulled inspiration directly from "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe":
His wings are the same colors that Aslan's standard/coat of arms
The prefix "Lion" is of course in reference to the lion
The armor design was influenced by the armor that the centaurs were wearing in the movie adaptation (I also used Telmarine horse armor as reference even though that was 100s of years down the line)
I added light feathering on his legs because of the "eternal" winter Narnia was trapped in
The snow themed background is also in reference to the winter
Okay here is Sugarflight! She represents the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. So beneath her stripes, there are colorful candy spots and a cutie mark a cake. Such delicious goodness represents Hansel and Gretel seeing the candy in the witch's house. But the goodness is covered with stripes that represent Hansel and Gretel getting captured by the witch. The wings are mostly green, which represents the witch, but the snippets of gold represent Hansel and Gretel slowly fighting back to get out of the trap. Her mane represents Hansel and Gretel's hair color.
Hey guys! If you need to find info on the OG version of your fairytale (I know they're not as widespread as the Disney ones), Jon Solo on youtube has a TON of videos telling the original stories of all kinds of fairy tales and legends and mythology. He already has (maybe multiple) videos about the assigned stories. The originals are pretty messed up though, fair warning. The videos are really quick (5-10 minutes it think), and give a really good breakdown of it. HIGHLY recommend, the videos themselves are also just fun to watch.
I'm in, though I do have one question, are we supposed to draw a scene form the fairytale but with the characters as pegasi, or is it to create a pegasus that is inspired by the fairytale?
@Skypetal Actually, I have another question, so I may or may not already have a Narnia inspired pegasus, would it be okay if I did a redesign of that OC?

Phew good! I am redoing Sugarflight!
oh i forgot about this. when's the due date???
Dotkin!!!
The mane and tail are representing the straw in the scare-crow.
The body is color of the cowardly lion (she's also kind of timid)
She is wearing armor like the tin-man
And her wings are supposed to be Dorothy dress, but only after I realized it's checkered...still, its blue and white.
As for her name...Dot - Dorothy and kin - Munchkin
@Skysun- Rapunzel
I am SO in!
Alright, here is Lionfire!

Oh! You are right! I get these two challenges confused.

so you are making a pegasus inspired by a fairy tale that I give you
also pls use the original tale
@Creeksun - Hansel and Gretel
@Riverglade - Beauty and the Beast
@Embermoon - Peter Pan
@Windfeather - The Little Mermaid (exception to the rule pls do a different version because in the original the mermaid dies)
@Karma - Rapunzel
@Lightray - The Wizard of Oz
@Nightmist - Alice In Wonderland
@Dragon - The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (not really a fairy tale but Narnia is awesome❤️)
