He turned his head towards Iden and smiled. “Thanks, Iden!“ He stumbled back at his voice. It, too, had changed, deeper now than it was before. He shook his head to get his forelock out of his eyes and continued to smile.
"Sorry Bakari. I thought eating would help you get your powers." She looked nervous. "I dont get everything right."
Vida:
She stared at Seaglade with a fiery stare. Her eyes burned. She looked at him and thought. "If he was kinder or I was meaner maybe..... Some day..... NO dont think that. Remember Bakari!" She inwardly shouted she looked down and tried to graze but stress made her unable to sleep. She took off and flew into the clouds
When the blue and gray yearling opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Bakari, the latest foal to receive his powers. Lilith slammed her hoof down in frustration. She was one of the oldest of the star foals -- now mostly star yearlings, but when it had come time for her to receive her powers, nothing had happened. It had been more then a moon since she had become a yearling, and she still felt nothing. She tired to be as glad as everyone else whenever a new foal showed up wielding some strange new gift, but the plain fact that Lilith still didn't have hers felt like a wing to the face.
Astro-
Astro sighed and collapsed into a pile of leaves in a wave of exostion. About one month before, he had become a yearling, but unlike the others, he had not returned to the clearing. As he lay on the forest floor, he recalled what had happened the night of his birthday:
Astro had been sitting in his normal perch one night, far above the others as they slept. His emotions had been acting up far worse then usual, so he hadn't been able to interact with anyone in a while. Then suddenly, he heard a weird sound -- one that he had never heard before. At first, he had been alarmed thinking that it could be another ice tiger, or possibly a spy from another herd.
Astro waited for a few tense seconds as the sound repeated it's self, but then he noticed that Merlcloud, the only other member of Shadow Herd that was stirring at this time, didn't even flick her ears in the direction of the sound. I must be imagining this, he said to himself as he tired to get some sleep. But the sound didn't go away, it continued echoing through the trees, until finally, Astro couldn't take it any longer, and left his perch so he could try to locate it.
He didn't have to fly far, when he reached the area where he thought the sound would be coming from, but there was nothing there. Astro had then stood there, unable to shake the weird sound, but not able to find it. Once a moment of this uncertainty had passed, he looked up at the stars, and watched in awe as one of them began to droop low in the sky.
As this star began to get closer to him, Astro panicked, and tired to run away, but it was if his hooves had been rooted to the ground. He tired to call out for help, but no sound could escapee from his throat. Astro stood there, utterly terrified, and not knowing what to do. But then the star stopped and hovered above him, creating this odd whitish glow around him. It was in this moment that he noticed that the star had something different about it, different then the other strange looking stars that were hovering over Anok, this one had swirling rays of black and white. It almost looked as if the rays were fighting each other, but that was only perceived in the second before the star had bathed him with it's power.
Almost instantaneously, Astro felt different, the pent up anger that he usually felt didn't seem as intense. He looked down at his coat, and noticed that it turned from a strange combination of grays, to white with a few black streaks. What is this? he thought, as he tried to turn around and look at himself from varying angles. There had been a few other foals to reach their first birthdays so far, but as far as Astro could tell, none of them had appeared to have changed this drastically yet.
After a long moment, an idea came to Astro, and he rushed to the nearest lake he knew of. He wanted to see exactly how the star had changed his appearance. But as he reached the shore, he was in for a not so pleasant surprise; instead of seeing the white furred yearling he expected, there was a black furred yearling staring back at him! Startled, Astro had tied to run, but as had happened with the star, he seemed rooted in place, staring down at the black face that was shimmering off the water.
Nothing happened after this for a long time. Astro didn't know what to do or what to make of the reflection that stared back at him. He had come to realize that it had to be him, but whenever he looked back at his own coat, it appeared to be shimmering white. He had tired to figure out this strange phenomenon by moving around and trying to look at him self from all angles, but no matter where he looked, his reflection appeared as black as ever.
What has happened to me? he thought, as he gazed at himself, but then to his utter bafflement, a voice answered him.
You're making us look like fools rasped the voice, though it wasn't really a voice at all, more like an echo in Astro's head.
What? though Astro, thinking that it was weird to be thinking questions to himself that he didn't already know the answer to.
You heard me, came the voice again, you're making us look like fools.
I heard that, thought Astro back, but what do you mean by us?
Wait, am I talking to myself? came the voice again, this time sounding just as confused as Astro himself.
Yes..., thought Astro.
These exchanges had gone back an forth for hours as Astro tried to make sense of what was going on. At one point, the conversation had escalated into more of an shouting match, and to both pegasi's astonishment, something happened. A sharp pain struck Astro in the stomach area, and he collapsed in a spasm of pain. Then before anyone knew what was happening, the pain stopped, but something was different. He tried to move his leg in an attempt to stand up, but he couldn't. Panic surged through him, but that was pushed aside as he watched himself stand up. How was this possible? He tired to lift his wing, but again nothing happened.
It was at this moment that Astro spotted his reflection in the lake, and he saw his white face glistening in the small ripples. What is happening? he wanted to scream, but again, he didn't seem to be able to.
"That's better." said the raspy voice, only this time it really was a voice. Whoever or what ever that Astro had been talking to for the last while now seemed to be controlling his body!
Who are you, thought Astro, despitly searching for answers.
Astro's body let loose a horrible deep laugh, then said, "Oh haven't you figured it out yet? I am you." with that Astro's body had taken flight.
The Rocky Mountain foal turned his head to Shimmerstream, and nodded once. He rolled his eyes when she wasn’t looking, for she had made him do the exact thing he didn’t want to do. He spread his wings, his right one still being slightly injured, and jumped into the sky as ungracefully as a cow would.
Seaglade quickly spotted Vida, and dived to gain speed, but pulled back up slowly and came level with her. “Vida! Are you okay?!” He shouted over the winds.
"What do you need Seaglad?" She sighed. She could not be alone for 10 minutes. It was probably because of that pesky mare Shimmerstream. She wished she could just fall and be alone. She had seen her family. Thunderbrook and her Mother Mistburr. She had wanted to be with them for ever

Seaglade:
The Rocky Mountain colt managed to tear his eyes away from the filly when she looked his way, but then looked back at her as she flew away.
Was it something he’d done?
Shimmerstream:
"Seaglade will you follow her and not let her get into trouble?!"

(*Amero, and you're supposed to love Astro, Amero is evil)
(Oof sorry I spelled it incorrectly, and I mean I love the combination xD. It sounds really interesting. )
@Nightmist (Well, see, and you literally just switched the E out with an A)
