He had been a colt when the star foals were born and he was killed at that time. His mother and father abandoned him for the star foals. "Alone again." He muttered his head ached with tiredness and with grief. His best friend, "Starlight." Had been killed and had gone to the golden meadow, he was alone and would always be.

Duskwatcher:

Duskwatcher had never been good at comforting the dead, so he did not try to.

Mistburr:

"He is dead. I knew he was I felt it. My baby dead." She whispered

Ashanti:

She looked down when Duskwatcher empathized that she was the only one alive to see them, like it was some kind of talent or gift

Mistburr:
