Honeyfall followed Snowfrost to where Pebblebreeze was. The little filly was huddled up in a lump next to her parents, Sunnyglow and Coldfire. Sunnyglow looked worn out and heart broken, but she was staying strong for the sake of her daughter. Coldfire appeared to be trying to comfort his filly, but Pebblebreeze wasn't listening.

When Sunnyglow saw Honeyfall and Snowfrost she gave them a weak smile, "Look Pebblebreeze, your friends are here to visit you."

Snowfrost stepped forward, "Hi Pebblefrost." the purple winged filly didn't even glance at him.

Honeyfall still believed that killing Dragonflight was the right thing to do, after all that's what he had deserved. But now, looking at Pebblebreeze, Honeyfall couldn't help blaming herself for her friend's sorrow. Stop it, Honeyfall told herself, this was Dragonflight's fault for his sister's sorrow, this was all on that traitor.

"Has she eaten anything since yesterday?" asked Snowfrost, breaking Honeyfall away from her thoughts.

Sunnyglow shook her head, "We had Pineroot check on her a last night, she told us to get her if Pebblebreeze still hadn't eaten by sun high."

All the steeds, other then Pebblebreeze, looked up at the sky, the sun was just about at it's highest point. "I'll go get her then." said Coldfire, and he flew off to find the medicine mare.

The group stood in silence for a few moments, no one quite sure what to say. "You look like you could use some rest." commented Snowfrost, looking at Sunnyglow.

"I don't want to leave her." said Sunnyglow, "She shouldn't be alone right now."

"We could watch her." offered Honeyfall, before she could stop herself.

"Yeah, " agreed Snowfrost, "Pebblebreeze needs you now more then ever, and to be there for her, you need to sleep."

Sunnyglow glanced at her daughter, "I suppose you are right, Coldfire will be back soon with Pineroot."

"Yes ma'am." said Snowfrost.

Sunnyglow walked a little ways away, and seemed to fall asleep almost instantly. That left Honeyfall, Snowfrost, and Pebblebreeze alone.

Honeyfall took a deep breath, and moved closer the heart broken filly. "Hey." said she said. Pebblebreeze didn't move. Honeyfall sighed, and looked at Snowfrost for help.

"Pebblebreeze, please talk to us." said the gray colt, he sounded worried.

Surprisingly, Pebblebreeze turned her head, and looked straight at Snowfrost. "What do you want?" she snapped.

"We're trying to help you." said Honeyfall.

"If you want to help me, tell me that Dragonflight's still alive. Tell me that Petalcloud lied about his dead. Tell me that my brother is just out on patrol." tears well up in Pebblebreeze's eyes.

Honeyfall remembered the instant her hooves had smashed down on Dragonflight's skull. She remembered the sound it had made, and then the blood that had covered her front legs. The bay filly shook hear head, "I'm sorry." was all the Honeyfall could say.

"Look," said Snowfrost as he took a step closer to the two fillies, "I know one thing Pebblebreeze, and that's that Dragonflight would not have wanted you to beat yourself up to much about it. You need to eat."

At that Pebblebreeze burst into tears, Honeyfall and Snowfrost tried to comfort her, but nothing they could say could get her to calm down. Suddenly the blue roan filly lurched over in a coughing fit, just as Pineroot and Coldfire arrived.

"Oh my." said Pineroot, then she started stroking Pebblebreeze's back, the filly coughed three more times, then stopped, her body shaking. "Are you okay?" asked the medicine mare, and Pebblebreeze nodded. "Can you please stick out your tongue?"

Pebblebreeze did as the medicine mare instructed, and both Honeyfall and Snowfrost let out surprised gasps, the purple winged filly's tongue was blue.
