It was five days after Honeyfall had left Sun Herd behind, and she was already regretting leaving.

The young weanling huddled underneath a tree, her belly rumbling because she had not really eaten for days. Honeyfall had tried to rip the bark off trees, but it made her feel sick. Water wasn't an option either, there was no lakes in the vein, only a few small streams, but she had been unable to find any of them.

Honeyfall had just given up hope that she would live to see another day, when she heard something. Her first instinct was to run, but she didn't have the strength to stand up, so instead she called out in an unsteady voice, "H-hello?"

To the filly's amazement she heard a voice. "Did you hear that Lakefir?"

Then a second voice answered the first, "Yeah I did Dragonfrost, it sounded like a foal, and I think it's coming from over there."

There was loud trampling sound, and Honeyfall tensed. The voices sounded like stallion's, what if someone in Sun Herd had noticed she had excepted, and Rockwing had sent warriors to track her down. Would they kill her? Would they drag her back to Sun Herd? Or worse.

Suddenly the trampling stopped. Honeyfall glanced up, and sure enough two stallions were standing near the tree where the filly was, starring down at her. One was a pale buckskin appaloosa with golden wings, the other was a darker buckskin pinto, with light brown and white wings.

"What is a foal like you doing all the way out here?" asked the pinto stallion.

The appaloosa nudged his friend with his wing, "Lakefir, can't you see she's half starved? We need to get her to Pineroot as soon as possible. We can ask her questions later."

"Your right, let's get her back to the herd." said the one who's name was Lakefir.

The two stallions bent down and picked her up by her wings. Honeyfall tried to struggle, but she was to weak. The stallions took off, shortly after that the world went black, and Honeyfall passed out.
