This is a simply phenomenal book about a girl named Aven that was born without arms. She has to adjust the way she does just about everything in her life to cope with this irregularity(no I will not use the word "disability" because she hates it). Anyway, it is a wonderful book that explores friendship, family, loss, and everyday life to people with setbacks. This is the cover:
and you know those quotes that other authors say about books that are often printed on the hardcover copy? If I were one of them, this is my quote:
"Aven is indeed armed. Not in the literal sense, maybe, but with a joyful and honest approach to life that makes the word heartwarming seem like an understatement."
When Mrs. Alvarez said this was the book for February and March, I wondered why she would pick it lol. Now I get it. I will definitely check it out!
Ok
I don't think so but I actually don't know
It does.. is it based on a true story?
This book looks interesting
Sounds good!!!!
no offense taken lol
Yeah,I'm sure if you ask someone that they would think that was a weird request. (Not to be rude) ..lol
I honestly want to buy a raincoat, put it on, and then have someone wrap my torso in duct tape so that I could try to manage things without arms
I need to read this!!!
yeah I do
I didn't mean to be rude to Avan but u know what i'm saying
Lol!!
yes, you should! and you can pull it off the shelf, or click the order button, with your finger, unlike Aven. She uses her feet.
Woah, cool! I will definatly look into that
