Is it just me or is holly blaze sorta a villain? Now here me out, when I read the short story about her by JLA holly blaze was always getting night wing into trouble, she was also a bit rude to him. Then knowing that nightwing was scared and would not fight, put him in the position to fight and pressured him like she always did. When he fled she just blamed him, and even when she hunted night wing she never forgave him for being scared but hated him all the more. A true friend would forgive, understand, and never put their friend in an uncomfortable situation. Plus, by having him figh, would they really win against moon wing? All she caused was pain and suffering for nightwing and ultimately made him the destroyer.

Omg I totally know what you mean!! As a cautious person, I can relate to Nightflame when he was a foal. I’ve thought about this too…Moonwing’s army is too strong, even if Nightflame had helped her, she still would have died, and Nightflame too.
Maybe she’s not a villain per se, but I think she’s made big mistakes in her short life, even for a foal. And she is definitely at least partly responsible for Nightflame turning into a destroyer. She can’t blame Nightflame for her death when it was her own choice to fly into that battle she knew would kill her.
There is no true hero and true villain.
Star himself is a selfish and narrow-minded individual who don't care if it doesn't have anything to do with him. It's only when people think about him does he try to care or when Morningleaf is also apart of something. Yet they still think of him as this hero. But, he is also considerate and caring when he wants to be, but that's only selective to certain individuals.
Morningleaf is a selfless individual but also someone who was too stubborn and reckless. But they recklessness is the reason why Star did the good things he did in order to protect the individual he cared for.
Echofrost is a narrow-minded and pessimistic individual that only cared truly for herself. And put the blame on others because she thought she had nothing to blame herself for. Her problems were always others causing it.
Hollyblaze was insecure about herself and thought that manipulating and taking advantage of Nightwing would ensure that she can live with power in the future. While she saved Star, she only did it cause she wanted to feel important or powerful.
Jennifer Lynn Alavarez seemed to mostly make characters who were never truly good on that alignment spectrum.
Most were Neutral or Evil.
Lawful Neutral
Chaotic Neutral
Lawful Evil
Choatic Evil
were usually who we see as big/notable faces in this series.
So far, I can only remember
Shadepebble being lawful good,
Morningleaf is chaotic good,
and Bumblewind was neutral good.
Hmm, I also never thought of that before. Here are my opinions. (They're pretty much kitty's.)
I think she was her own person, which was super outgoing and adventurous. It kinda was her fault that she got Nightflames in trouble, cuz she could've been more considerate of him since he couldn't fly, but she was just a weanling so she wasn't all that smart yet.
I agree she could've forgave Nightflame. He was also just a scared weanling/yearling and everyone probably kept on telling him that he should keep himself safe, so that's probably why he ran instead of helping her, but he still could've turned around and helped his best friend. Because he didnt do that, it looks like he didn't like Hollyblaze as much as he thinks he does.
Also, Hollyblaze did see that the pegasi only wanted him for his power and that made him angry, and she could've helped him deal with his anger and talk with the other pegasi, but she didn't. She just stood back and watched.
All in all, my opinion is that she isn't a villain, she just has a lot of problems. And everyone does. So she is just a regular pegasus... Who needs to work through her problems.
I never thought about that... However, like the rest of us, Hollyblaze has her reasons.
She was afraid of Nightflame/wing. That's understandable. He is the black foal after all.
She wanted Nightflame/wing to fight with her. She needed her best friend to give her a chance. She couldn't fight them all on her own.
Haunting Nightwing was horrible of her, but protecting Star was right of her.
I like that opinion, and you have opened my mind to include Hollyblaze as part villain.
Well that was in the short story...But in the end she did the right thing. but she prob pushed him to be the best black foal
