Billowfall smiled, "Thanks for... for... for being here," she whispered, "I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for you." The young mare could express herself, she just felt to overwhelmed with gratefulness.

Copperfeather: Her gaze and posture softened, her mouth turning up slightly. "I get scared all the time; flashbacks from my parents dying play over and over in my mind, consuming all my thoughts. Before I talked to you, I constantly worried about you. You've always been in the back of my mind."
Embarrassed, she pawed the ground, avoiding his eyes. "I'm not trying to convince you of anything, but I get it. It's okay to be scared, everyone is at some point. The difference between pegasi is whether or not you face them head on."
(Okay, I'm totally confused. Cinderfrost flew away, Flamestrike followed, and then Windfeather arrived on the scene as well. I thought Rainwillow was still dealing with Hawkblaze in Mountain Herd territory while Flamestrike is now knocked out in Tundra Herd territory, while Cinderfrost and Windfeather are fine in Tundra Herd territory. Is Rainwillow knocked out now?)
Cinderfrost, looked around at the scenery while she was walking alongside Windfeather, she was hoping to find a plant that would help with her pain.
There! Up ahead was a plant that could help with pain.
"Windfeather, I see a plant up ahead that will help with some of my pain" Cinderfrost nickered.
She walked ahead and reached the plant, she dug it out. The leaf paste would help numb it some, and the roots would help.
Cinderfrost severed the roots from the leaves.
She put the leaves in her mouth and mashed it up, cringing some at the taste, she spat some on her injured wing, and did her best to spread it. Then she put some on her hind leg.
Cinderfrost then ate the roots. She could already feel relief from the paste. She walked back to Windfeather, and slowed to her pace.
He smiled and sighed heavily. Driftflame raised his head back up, his scar slightly aching from the sudden change in position. âI know what happened...I guess Iâm just...scared.â He almost jerked. Had he just said he was scared? Of course it was the truth, but had he actually admitted that he was scared? He shrugged his blood red wings. Theres a first time for everything. He thought.
Moonwillow:
She looked back at Snowroot as well. She bit her lip at Icequakeâs words. Slaughter. Practically and horribly inevitable. The mare glided his the large stallionâs wake. This wasnât as mobile as she wished to be. Moonwillow thought of Thornhollow. She had been gone for such a long time. She half blamed Icequake for this and the fact she couldnât find him. Moonwillow snorted it off.
Hawkblaze:
âArgh!â He slammed his back legs into a Tundra Herd mare, just as she had done to Flamestrike. He had been looking for Rainwillow, but the sudden sounds of a short fight caught him off guard. Now he was facing an injured Cinderfrost along with a knocked down mare.
Goldencloud:
She bared her teeth. Cinderfrost. That filly was still back in Mountain Herd as far as she knew. She mare wondered what good would it do to bring a Tundra Herd foal into Mountain Herd. Goldencloud suddenly understood. Cinderfrost had been nothing but trouble. Getting that no good filly out of the Herd was their best option. Getting a Tundra foal in place of her was wise. They could force information out of it and train it to be a good loyal warrior. After all, Tundra Herd pegusi do have natural abilities that Mountain Herd did not.
"Storm! I am here to talk to you about my filly," He spat the word filly. "She wants to join your herd. I will permit it for one of your foals." His voice hard and steely
Stormwing huffed, "I'm not trying to take your filly from you," he replied sternly, "I'm respecting Cinderfrost's choice, she deserves to go where she wants! To grow up!" The over-stallion pawed the ground, turning up snow in the process, "You should let the filly go, not hold onto her; all steeds will have to leave their herds and families one day, not be cooped up like little newborns. I do not think this is the matter of the filly, Bloodwing, but the matter of you're selfishness." (Sorry Windfeather, I sorta made Stormwing insult Bloodwing!)
Snowroot nodded at his words, and watched him go in dismay. She had an unsettling feeling that his words were a lot deeper than they seemed. She hoped he wasnât correct.
Froststone shook his mane, his wings buzzing restlessly. He didn't know what to do, the over-stallions were speaking to one another, and so far no one dared to start the battle. The young stallion's mind drifted off to Rainwillow, was she well? Did she get to the caves safely? His heart thudded with passion for the young mare; the last thing he needed right then was Rainwillow being in danger. What if she was? Froststone could barely keep that thought out of his mind. He wished with all of his heart that he could be with his friend, in a nice warm sheltered place and enjoying each others' company. The young stallion could almost feel Rainwillow's warm breath on his back, he could see her beautiful face smiling at him with her warm eyes. Froststone desired to be with her, so much that it brought a pain to his heart.
Icequake turned back toward the medicine mare, "I'm sorry Snowroot, I wish I could stay and help take care of you, but the over-stallion of Mountain Herd just landed and I fear..." he swallowed, real fear flashed over his expression, "I fear this is not going to be a battle... but a slaughter," with that, the stallion whirled around and kicked off into the sky, just with a moment's uncertain glance back.
He almost grabbed her then something clubbed him in the head and everthing went black.
Windfeather:
She landed. She had reared and slammed the stallion in the head. "Are you ok?" She asked the mountain herd filly. "Lets go before he wakes up!" She walked next to her. Windfeather's own wings dragged on the ground. They were still broken since that mare never healed them
Now I can kill! He darted after the mare stepping on her wing. He heard a small crack and knew a small wing bone broke. He darted into Tundra herd territory. "GET BACK HERE!" He landed. His wings beat the air. (DO you want her to stay free?)
@Sunblaze (Iâm sorry to hear your teams not that good. My team had their fith game this weekend. So far weâve won all four of are games and weâre hoping to win the next one! I am a tall tooth pick with twig arms. I can literally pull off a high schooler -and Iâm in 7th grade- so I guess that naturally helps me rebound and all the other basketballs stuffs.)
@Riverdawn (I think you mean me not Sunblaze, but if not, I'm sorry. That's cool that your team is undefeated! Our team (I'm a freshman) is just JV, and we hope to win at least one game, but we only have like 9, so *shrugs* we'll see what happens.)
Copperfeather: "Hey, it's okay," On the ground beside Driftflame, she tried to look empathic and understanding (though she kinda failed). "What's going on? Do you want to talk about it?"
Rainwillow: As soon as the guard hissed at her, a flip inside her switched. Her normally sunny, shy, and sweet personality darkened quickly. She hissed right back, her posture and expression threatening and murderous.
"Cinderfrost, get behind me." Gritting her teeth, she snarled at the two stallions, her fear completely evaporated. The ninja pegasus (I guess she's officially a ninja now) crept backward, pushing Cinderfrost behind her to keep moving backwards, her fierce expression never wavering.
The stallion paused and thought. This was good. Very good. Mountain Herd was practically in the position of their enemies daughter! He looked to Flamestrike and smiled to see if he was thinking what he was thinking. They could keep this filly hostage and force Stormwing to practically do whatever they want!
The young stallion ripped his head to look behind him. Flamestrike was yelling at what seemed to be another pegasus! How did she get all the way into the valley without him noticing? She must be the first pegusi ninja. He thought (Lol).
Hawkblaze flurried down from his post and landed next to Flamestrike to back the powerful stallion up. He hissed at the foreign pegusus but kept a careful eye on Cinderfrost and Bravesky.
Driftflame: His hopes dropped dramatically. âY-yes.â He a swred, now wishing he hadnât been knocked out. Driftflame looked down at the ground. Now he sounded selfish and cowardly.
Goldencloud:
She glided down along side her mate and landed next to him. She held her head high as to establish a powerful appearance. She smelled the beginnin of a war on the tips of her nostrils. She couldnât wait to be tearing out hinds and breaking wings.
He watched the captured filly. He hovered over her silently tracking the pegasus who entered Mountain herd territory. He would give her a chance to leave then he would strike if she did not. "Get out of here!" He snarled landing in front of her. He flapped his wings and stomped his sharpened hooves. "GET GOING!"
Cinderfrost, swiveled her ears, she heard the whisper Rainwillow made, she lifted her head up slightly, to let the Rainwillow know she heard her, then she rested her head again.
Rainwillow: While her sire was busy dealing with the over stallion of Mountain Herd, she crept into Mountain Herd territory, moving lightly and soundlessly. Though she only really had a half plan, it was now or never. Cinderfrost must be rescued. Without any reason at all, Rainwillow had thought of this filly, torn between the two herds. No one should have to endure the pain of longing to leave, but never being able to.
Like a ninja, (yes, there are now pegasi ninja) Rainwillow found Cinderfrost, and without being spotted by the guard, managed to crawl within hearing range of the Mountain Herd filly.
"Psst! Cinderfrost!" Yes, it hurt, and yes it was getting hard to breathe, but she needed to get Cinderfrost out of there. "It's Rainwillow!"
Stormwing turned slowly toward the over-stallion of Mountain Herd, "I should be asking the same thing, there isn't anything I need from you," he replied calmly, his body showing no evidence for fighting, "But one thing I don't understand is that why you would want to fight, there isn't really any point this battle anyway. Tell me," Stormwing began, pricking his ears, "Why are you thirsting for war? And what exactly will you gain from our small herd?"
Violetclould nuzzled him softly, "I know," she wispered softly, "I have also come to cared for that filly. Don't worry, we'll figure out a way to get her back, she belongs here, I can tell! Her body is lean like ours, with a thick chest to help with high flights, she belongs here..
She want's to stay here with us, I can tell she hates her herd, she's nothing like them,"
Stormwing turned toward his mate, his eyes soft with sadness, "I had come to care for that filly," he whispered, and draped his neck over the lead mare's back, "I just feel responsible for her undeserving punishment from Mountain Herd. And you're right, some of her blood IS of Tundra Herd, too. We are almost like the foals of Desert Herd, Snow Herd, and Mountain Herd," he nickered, "I almost feel like I'm enemies with my own family."
"Yes, of course," Stormwing nickered, looking off toward the Blue Mountains, "All colts and fillies should have their choice of where they want to go, not be forced to stay where they were born."
Billowfall:
Billowfall thrust up her head, "So is Mountain Herd being a chicken or did it change its mind?" She whinnied, pinning her ears.
Copperfeather: He doesn't remember.Shaking her head, Copperfeather walked closer, "You must be confused, Driftflame. The battle hasn't even started yet. Is that was this is all about? Are you worried about fighting after... your incident?"
He recoiled and unfolded his feathers. The stallion sighed heavily and rubbed his temples with one wing. âJust...lay down.â He grumbled with his eyes shut.
Cinderfrost shivered, and cowered, she was used to this, her whole life was this, she dipped her head respectfully, "What shall you have me do?" Cinderfrost asked respectfully.
âN-no, it isnât you- Itâs me. Wait. No it itâs not. It is you! Your poisoning my mind!â Hawkblaze hissed at Cinderfrost and his feathers fluffed up making their copper and gold highlights swivel in the sun.
He pictured his over-stallion and Flamestrike ganging you on the poor guy. He shook his head. What in Anok? He was feeling pity for a prisoner, thinking that Tundra Herd territory wasnât really all that bad, and talking with Cinderfrost The Traitor! Hawkblaze backed up a bit. What was he doing?
He pawed at the ground. The three year old looked around the valley and his eyes landed on Bravesky. The traitor to his own father. He noticed how beaten up and exhausted he looked. âWhat did they do to him?â Hawkblaze gasped.
âDonât worry your tail off. You are still a nobody. But Iâm board and have nothing better to do. Plus if they see us talking Iâll just pretend to be scolding you whenever they come by.â
His ears pricked. He definitely wasnât expecting that reaction. More along the lines of âItâs terrible, cold and snowy. Filled with nasty traitorous pegusi.â He shrugged it off but kept it in his mind. âOh definitely. If they caught me talking to you I would either be banished from the herd or tortured to get all information out of me.â he said these dark words with the most average tone. Like it was normal for Mountain Herd to take the extreme precautionâs. And it was.
Cinderfrost brightened up when he mentioned Tundra herd, "it's amazing there! Sometimes a bit hard to find food, that's about it, but it really is amazing there," Cinderfrost nickered, she glanced around, "aren't guards not supposed to interact with the pegasi their guarding?"
And pretty soon everyoneâs going to call me a traitor. He thought to himself reluctantly. âYeah, thatâs me alright.â Hawkblaze looked over his wing to see if anyone had spotted them. Feeling a hope of insurance he carried on. âI heard that you went to Tundra Herdâs territory. What was it like?â
Cinderfrost nodded, "yeah I'm Cinderfrost, but most other pegasi refer to me as traitor, but anyways, your Hawkblaze, am I correct? " Cinderfrost nickered quietly.
He huffed out a laugh. The stallion jerked forward when he saw her in pain but quickly held back. He was already breaking enough rules as it was. He didnât need another reason to be thrown out of Mountain Herd if anyone caught him.
Feeling guilty for not helping her, Hawkblaze carried on. âCinderfrost...right? I believe Iâve spoken to you before..er ...yâknow...â
Cinderfrost smiled softly, "I honestly have no idea about the bird egg thing, maybe because, birds have meat, and newlyish laid eggs dont have meat?" Cinderfrost nickered. She shrugged her wings, wincing a little at the pain in her wing.
Hawkblaze bit his lip and decided the best way of starting a conversation was to talk about the first thing that came into his mind. âWhy do birds taste so bad yet their eggs taste so good?â That was a stupid idea. âThat was a stupid idea.â Why did he say that? âWhy did I say that?â Hawkblaze smacked himself in the face with his wing. âIâm sorry. Sometimes my brain and my mouth refuse to corroborate...â
After banging his head on the tree a few more times he came up with a steady conclusion. He flared up with auburn and amber wings. The young stallion lifted off and glided next to Cinderfrost. âSo um...â He wanted to have a conversation but found it very difficult and awkward.
He watching Cinderfrost fall alseep. He watched the day blled into nightfall. He watched the birds of the mountains retreat to their nests. He watched and watched and watched. Watching was being to get very tiresome.
He watched to do something. Anything. Literally anything. He hit his head on the side of the tree. âThink.â He muttered to himself.
He looked down and a tear fell from his eye. He galloped away from his mother and father. "They don't need me anymore. They have my brother. I am just a stupid Horse!" He sobbed as he ran toward the ice lands
Sparrowlight breathed a sigh of relief as he gently cradled the new foal in his wings. He had just pulled one last time, a gentle tug, and it had freed. He gently stood, the fragile thing in his wings, and brought to the front of Frostfeather so she wouldnât have to move.
A fatherly smile shined across his face, happiness evident in his voice as he said, âArenât they magnificent?â
This version of Sparrowlight was not common. This was the dazed, happy, breathless Sparrowlight that rarely came out to play.
Cinderfrost ears swiveled, she heard the guards command, she knew if she did not obey, that she might get injured. She walked back over to Bravesky and sat down.
Instead, she would strengthen her wing, so she drew it in and out. Her wing felt tender and sore, but she did it anyways, after a while, she laid down and rested, she was still wide awake, ears swiveling.
âI-Uh.â He coughed again but quickly regained his focus. His vision cleared and he got up with the help of his wings to stable him. He moaned a bit a blinked hard to clear his mind. âThe...the battle is it over!â Hope surged through him. Copperfeather didnât looked hurt at all! Driftflame had barely heard her question and his ears pricked at the excitement and anticipation for the answer.
Hawkblaze:
He watched Cinderfrost pace back and forth. She tried to hide the fact that her leg hurt and was seeming to try to make it stronger. Hawkblaze took note on her injury and asked himself what a more experienced guard would do. âHey!â He blurted out. âStop pacing around. Itâs not doing my eyes any good watching you walk back and forth.â Hawkblaze used a method called command lying. He told Cinderfrost to stop because it would obviously make her leg stronger in the long run. But instead he told her it made his eyes hurt. He had watched many guards use this trick. Hawkblaze didnât know exactly why they did it. He felt a bit of pity for Cinderfrost. He had known her. She was just about two years younger than he was. They had good conversationâs with each other but nothing like a friendship. He brushed off his feelings and stretched his wings.
As she stepped onto the bank, stumbling, her ears caught a call. A strange call, one that sounded from far away, possibly the over-stallionâs. She quickly shouted, âSparkfire! Do you hear it?â
She didnât know where he was, but she did know that if he didnât respond to the call, things could get bad for him.
Her ears swiveled listening to every sound, she heard a new steed land, she jerked her head up to see who it was, she spotted the new steed over by a tree, she noticed it was Hawkblaze.
She would of greated him but she knew that guards couldn't interact with anyone, so she dipped her head respectfully.
She was tired of grazing she needed to move even if it made her leg hurt.
She started walking wincing at the pain shoting up her leg, but she didn't care about the pain, she knew if she just laid down untill her leg was healed her muscles would deteriorate, so she walked.
She didn't know what to do, she needed to escape and soon! She couldn't stand being In this wretched place much longer. She continued walking, thinking to herself.
He glided into the valley, the small speckles of gold and copper on his dull wings shined in the sunlight as he moved. The young stallion noticed one of them grazing and the other still resting. Or maybe he was dead. Hawkblaze could care less. He landed down next to a tree that overlooked both steeds. He was about to greet them when he remembered not to interact with anyone. Ugh...being a Guard was so boring. If he were a captain heâd be able to do whatever he wanted.
The young stallion pranced around. He was needing something to happen. Thingâs had been tense in Mountain Herd lately. Everyone was thrilled about the possible war between them and Tundra Herd. Hawkblaze should have been more excited then he was. In his opinion Mountain Herd should stop trying to pick a fight with everyone they came into contact with. It didnât matter now, though. Tundra Herd had Mountain Herd blood in them wether they likes it or not. The way he and everyone else saw it, Mountain Herd was just taking back what was rightfully theirs. Hawkblazeâs thoughts were interrupted by an older stallion marching up to him. âGoldencloud wishes for the prisoners to be guarded more closely. You know your job as guard. Now scram, kid.â Hawkblaze was about to object but caught himself in mid sentence âBut-â
The older dtallion gave him a death ending stare. âYour expendable. Now go.â With that the stallion had lifted off. âYour expendable. Now go.â Hawkblaze mocked to himself as he began reluctantly flying to the valley where the prisoners were being kept.
Violetclould, took to the air, she wanted to talk with that new Moutian herd yearling that joined them. She flew all over the territory, but she couldn't find her.
She flew to her mate and landed.
She nuzzled him softly, "have you seen Cinderfrost? I tried to find her but I couldn't " Violetclould nickered.
Stormwing jerked his head toward Violetcloud, "Cinderfrost is gone?" He whinnied softly, yet concern edged in his voice," he look around frantically to see the Mountain Herd filly, but nothing came into view, "We must find her," he nickered.
The white bay stallion laid there. No movement what so ever. Than out of nowhere he gasps and his eye lids shot open. Something cold had splashed in his face. He looked around, his vision still a bit burry. âThat- was cold.â He choked up.
Copperfeather: Though she appreciated Moonwillow's help, something about her made her skin crawl.
She's too much like me; logical, smart, hard working, a born leader.
One of her comments "I'd love to help, yet I'm too busy with much more important business I have to attend too," or whatever she had said, had triggered Copperfeather, her muscles tensing while restraining herself from lashing out.
What was more important than assisting a fellow herd member in need?
While biting her tongue, Copperfeather barely caught Moonwillow's last comment. Something about cherishing friendship?
Driftflame stirred next to her, groaning loudly.
"Driftflame?" Kneeling beside him, she stared at him, urging him to wake up. Unfortunately, the groaning ceased, and she was sure he had slipped back into unconsciousness.
With more determination than Copperfeather thought she possessed, she dragged her best friend to a pond, splashed him with the cold, clean water, and waited, all thoughts focused on the stallion in front of her.
Cinderfrost's eyes slowly fluttered closed, and she fell asleep, moments later she found herself in a dream, she was on the border, Cinderfrost looked up, and saw Bravesky, but he was trailed by Bloodwing and Flamestrike.
She watched as Bravesky landed and his family land behind him.
Flamestrike gave Cinderfrost a disgusted look, he raised his hoof and hit the root of Bravesky's wing making a loud crack Echo across the icelands.
Cinderfrost screamed and tried to run over to Bravesky, but her legs were glued to the ground.
All she could do was watch,
Tears welled in her eyes, she wanted to run to him, but she couldn't. She screamed again.
Cinderfrost woke up panting, she looked at the sky, not much time must of passed, the sun was still in about the same area.
Sparrowlight whinnied, shrill and commanding, moving everyone out of the way. He knelt down beside her, his forelock matted and his ears pinned. He looked up and shouted, âWe need Snowroot!â
A mare with secretive eyes and an intelligent demeanor said, âSnowroot is unavailable. An illness that not even she can cure.â
Sparrowlight, taken aback, said, âDo you know how to help?â
The mare looked skeptical, but nodded tersely. She instructed Sparrowlight on exactly what he needed to do, and when to do it.
Snowroot bristled slightly as another mare quite eccentrically started speaking with Icequake. I guess Iâll have to trek to a quarantine on my own, Snowroot thought dismally. She didnât like trekking, nor being by herself.
She started to make her way towards the place they had been headed, not entirely sure where she was going. She just hoped her gatherers would be enough to sustain the injured in this attack.
The mare glided across the snow blanketed territory. She had to get back on track! Where in the world could Icequake be!? Moonwillow asked herself this right as she spotted distant dots tracking their way twords the ice caves. Oh please let this be Icequake and not another distressed filly.
Moonwillow dived tword the ground and found herself in excitement. It was him! Than she found herself in a worried state. Snowroot was worse than what had been described to her! Icequake had just left Snowroot when she landed next to the stallion. âBy the ancestors, Icequake, where have you been?â A harsh hiss echoed through her throat. Se didnât mean to sound so hostile but she needed her point to be made. âThe entire battalion was in a crowded mess. I had to assemble them. Now could you please tell me just what we are preparing for? No Mountain Herd army or battalion has attacked us yet.â
Icequake turned his head toward the battle mare Moonwillow, "It's better to be prepared for a battle than be vulnerable like a cornered mouse," he replied solemnly, "I got the orders from the over-stallion that I need to bring those who are NOT fighting to safety in the caves, including Snowroot," the stallion paused to take a breath, his chest muscles expanding as he let it out slowly, "Snowroot needs medical attention and needs to be quarantined. We can't lose her, she is of importance of us, and she's not just the medicine mare, Snowroot is also a pegasus of Tundra Herd, she is no different, only holding more knowledge in medical care than the rest of us."
Sparrowlight scanned the crowd for his mate, desperately. He had been called out another scouting mission and hadnât been able to see his adopted son, nor his mate. So, now, as he searched for them, he realized just how much he missed them.
As he spotted Frostfeather, his eyes widened in utter fear; she was writhing slightly in pain. Oh no, not now.... he thought desperately, spreading his wings to shove the pegasi out of his way as he galloped towards her.
The Snow White mare nodded, a thankful tint in her eyes. She decided she liked this stallion.
As they landed, she fell the rest of the way with an exhausted huff, not pleased with her shivers. She looked u[ at Icequake, brief and quick, but it enough to take in his icy brilliance.
Very self-consciously, she noted that there wasnât a way he could love her; a, she was a medicine mare, and b, she was going to die in a few days from this decease.
After quite a while of walking, they finally arrived at the foot of their territory's mountain. Icequake halted and shook his mane, "We're here," he announced solemnly, his deep voice rumbling in his throat, "The quarantine cave is just above us. You have the choice of flying or climbing."
She looked down at the young stallion. He had definitely passes out, not from a sickness thankfully. She had observed Snowrootâs tactics in her free time. Of course she didnât have much free time and encouraged herself to always be productive, but free time nonetheless. Moonwillow worried that she had no clue what to do. But using common sense she decided a solution. âBring your friend to a pond away from everyone else. Make sure to splash some water on him to see if he budges or not. If he doesnât recover by the time the battle trumpet is sounded, I would expect for you to bring him to the ice caves with everyone else taking refuge.â
Moonwillow shorted her breath a bit. âI would help you carry him to the nearest pond if I could. Yet I have much more important business to attend to.â She turned away to fly off again. Something stopped her and she pointed her ears back at the pair. âKeep him safe, filly. Friendâs are more cherisable than you think.â
With that Moonwillow lifted herself I to the air with her violet wings. Thoughtâs of Thornhollow flashed through her mind as her last statement rang in her ears.
Deiftflame:
He moaned silently. For a second he was awake. He smelled the scent of Copperfeather. The wet snow next to his muzzle. The thousands of pegusi around him. He quickly fell out of consciousness. His groaning ceased.
Goldencloud:
âIâm afraid to say so. Willowroot has a strange vibe around her. I feel like sheâs not telling me something.â Goldencloud shrugged her wing blades. âIâm sure it must be nothing. But I canât help but feel the way I feel.â The mare rose up her neck again. Still being nowhere as tall as her mate. âAlso do you presume itâs wise of us to allow Cinderfrost and your- ugh.. dare I say it- son be allowed to correspond with one another?â Goldencloud went on.
âI just came back from checking in on the prisoners and the filly seems abnormally calm about her situation.â
Darkheart: Squished between bodies of pegasi he didn't know, Darkheart looked around for someone he recognized, or at least someone who could assign him a role or job, "Um, excuse me? Can anyone tell me how I can help?"
(That I'm going to do right NOW!!!!)
(Cheezits, manohman, goodness gracious, holey moley, great guacamole I need to make a part 6!
(Oh hey!)
(Hellloooooo peeeopppppleeeeeeeee? Gooooiin to beeee mosssstttyy active for annoooottter 5 hoouuurrrrsssssss XDDD)
(Didnât Hawkblaze knock down Windfeather?)
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost, looked around at the scenery while she was walking alongside Windfeather, she was hoping to find a plant that would help with her pain.
Driftflame:
Bloodwing:
"Storm! I am here to talk to you about my filly," He spat the word filly. "She wants to join your herd. I will permit it for one of your foals." His voice hard and steely
Snowroot:
Snowroot nodded at his words, and watched him go in dismay. She had an unsettling feeling that his words were a lot deeper than they seemed. She hoped he wasnât correct.
Froststone:
(Sorry guys, I just realized that I keep changing my name, this is my official one until the end of time)
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost nodded out of breath and in pain from the fast flight, then she walked along side Windfeather, "Thank you," Cinderfrost wispered
(Yee-ouch)
Icequake:
Icequake turned back toward the medicine mare, "I'm sorry Snowroot, I wish I could stay and help take care of you, but the over-stallion of Mountain Herd just landed and I fear..." he swallowed, real fear flashed over his expression, "I fear this is not going to be a battle... but a slaughter," with that, the stallion whirled around and kicked off into the sky, just with a moment's uncertain glance back.
Flamestrike:
He almost grabbed her then something clubbed him in the head and everthing went black.
Windfeather:
She landed. She had reared and slammed the stallion in the head. "Are you ok?" She asked the mountain herd filly. "Lets go before he wakes up!" She walked next to her. Windfeather's own wings dragged on the ground. They were still broken since that mare never healed them
Flamestrike:
Now I can kill! He darted after the mare stepping on her wing. He heard a small crack and knew a small wing bone broke. He darted into Tundra herd territory. "GET BACK HERE!" He landed. His wings beat the air. (DO you want her to stay free?)
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost nodded, and took off, she grimaced at the pain in her wing, but she pushed threw it.
Her wing spasamed and she lost balance, but she quickly righted herself.
She angled her muzzle up and flew higher, other Moutian herd steeds would be a bit weaker up here.
Cinderfrost angled her wings, she caught a air current and hurtled towards Tundra herd.
Her wing hurt, it hurt so bad Cinderfrost thought she would fall to her death.
Cinderfrost looked down she was nearing the border, she passed it and she sighed in relief,
Her wing spasamed again, and she fell, and fell.
But Cinderfrost gritted her teeth and righted herself right before she hit the ground.
She saw some pegasi up ahead, she didn't know their names, she was only in Tundra Herd for a short while, then she landed in frount of them.
Breathing hard and grimacing at the pain in her wing.
"Help!" She gasped,
(Goodness that's long)
@Sunblaze (What did you do today? I basically did homework and I made classic chocolate chip cookies yesterday.)
@Riverdawn (How's basketball going? We had our first game yesterday and we didn't do horrible but we kind of stunk.)
@Windfeather (How are you?)
Rainwillow: "Okay, I'll distract these two, and you fly as far as you can to Tundra Herd. Understand?"
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost flexed her wing testing it, "maybe for a short while," she nickered back.
"Can you fly?" She whispered to Cinderfrost.
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost turned to Rainwillow, "Rainwillow, you need to leave NOW!" Cinderfrost winnied.
Hawkblaze:
The stallion paused and thought. This was good. Very good. Mountain Herd was practically in the position of their enemies daughter! He looked to Flamestrike and smiled to see if he was thinking what he was thinking. They could keep this filly hostage and force Stormwing to practically do whatever they want!
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost immediately got up and ran over to Rainwillow, Cinderfrost threw up her wings wincing at the pain,
"She's Rainwillow! The Overstallion's daughter, " she brayed., her hind leg hurt from the run, but she gritted her teeth and dealt with the
(K. Night!)
(Willowroot. I gtg be on tomorrow!)
(Take him where?)
Bloodwing:
"Take me there!" He whinnied to his mate
Hawkblaze:
Flamestrike:
(Stays evil!)
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost, swiveled her ears, she heard the whisper Rainwillow made, she lifted her head up slightly, to let the Rainwillow know she heard her, then she rested her head again.
(Is Flamestrike going to stay evil or follow his brother and become good?)
(Bye!)
Iceblaze:
He sped up and running as fast as he could
Bloodwing:
He met the overstallion of Tundra herd. "What do you need Storm!?" His vocie packed with menice as the guards swarmed beind him
(i gtg)
Violetclould,
Violetclould nuzzled him softly, "I know," she wispered softly, "I have also come to cared for that filly. Don't worry, we'll figure out a way to get her back, she belongs here, I can tell! Her body is lean like ours, with a thick chest to help with high flights, she belongs here..
She want's to stay here with us, I can tell she hates her herd, she's nothing like them,"
Violetclould,
"I agree, I also overheard her telling one of our steeds, that some of her blood is Tundra Herd," she nickered.
Stormwing:
"Yes, of course," Stormwing nickered, looking off toward the Blue Mountains, "All colts and fillies should have their choice of where they want to go, not be forced to stay where they were born."
Billowfall:
Billowfall thrust up her head, "So is Mountain Herd being a chicken or did it change its mind?" She whinnied, pinning her ears.
Violetclould,
Violetclould nodded, "we must find her, she could of been captured by Mountain Herd, but I have no idea,"
Copperfeather: He doesn't remember. Shaking her head, Copperfeather walked closer, "You must be confused, Driftflame. The battle hasn't even started yet. Is that was this is all about? Are you worried about fighting after... your incident?"
(Ugh, I get here once everyone is asleep!)
(Gtg, night!)
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost nodded, and immediately laid down, she stretched her neck and rested her head on the grass below
Hawkblaze:
He recoiled and unfolded his feathers. The stallion sighed heavily and rubbed his temples with one wing. âJust...lay down.â He grumbled with his eyes shut.
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost shivered, and cowered, she was used to this, her whole life was this, she dipped her head respectfully, "What shall you have me do?" Cinderfrost asked respectfully.
Hawkblaze:
âYour donât tell yourself what to do! I do!â He reared up and slammed es on the ground.
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost backed up some more, "I-I can just go back to what I was doing" CInderfrost nickered.
Hawkblaze:
âN-no, it isnât you- Itâs me. Wait. No it itâs not. It is you! Your poisoning my mind!â Hawkblaze hissed at Cinderfrost and his feathers fluffed up making their copper and gold highlights swivel in the sun.
Cinderfrost.
Cinderfrost noticed his behavior, and backed up herself also, "You can go if you want,,, I'm not really worth talking to.."
Hawkblaze:
He pictured his over-stallion and Flamestrike ganging you on the poor guy. He shook his head. What in Anok? He was feeling pity for a prisoner, thinking that Tundra Herd territory wasnât really all that bad, and talking with Cinderfrost The Traitor! Hawkblaze backed up a bit. What was he doing?
(Mk)
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost looked over to Bravesky, "From what I've heard, Bloodwing and Flamestrike, beat him up, broke several bones, that's all I really know)
(Gtg do dishes I may be back and forth, or if not about 10-15 minutes.)
Hawkblaze:
He pawed at the ground. The three year old looked around the valley and his eyes landed on Bravesky. The traitor to his own father. He noticed how beaten up and exhausted he looked. âWhat did they do to him?â Hawkblaze gasped.
(Back)
(Brb gotta go do something)
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost nodded, the term nobody didn't hurt as much as it did when she was a weanling, "Good idea," she nickered
Hawkblaze:
âDonât worry your tail off. You are still a nobody. But Iâm board and have nothing better to do. Plus if they see us talking Iâll just pretend to be scolding you whenever they come by.â
Cinderfrost
Cinderfrost tilted her head, "Then why are you risking it to talk to me? I'm nobody in this herd," Cinderfrost nickered.
Hawkblaze:
His ears pricked. He definitely wasnât expecting that reaction. More along the lines of âItâs terrible, cold and snowy. Filled with nasty traitorous pegusi.â He shrugged it off but kept it in his mind. âOh definitely. If they caught me talking to you I would either be banished from the herd or tortured to get all information out of me.â he said these dark words with the most average tone. Like it was normal for Mountain Herd to take the extreme precautionâs. And it was.
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost brightened up when he mentioned Tundra herd, "it's amazing there! Sometimes a bit hard to find food, that's about it, but it really is amazing there," Cinderfrost nickered, she glanced around, "aren't guards not supposed to interact with the pegasi their guarding?"
Hawkblaze:
And pretty soon everyoneâs going to call me a traitor. He thought to himself reluctantly. âYeah, thatâs me alright.â Hawkblaze looked over his wing to see if anyone had spotted them. Feeling a hope of insurance he carried on. âI heard that you went to Tundra Herdâs territory. What was it like?â
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost nodded, "yeah I'm Cinderfrost, but most other pegasi refer to me as traitor, but anyways, your Hawkblaze, am I correct? " Cinderfrost nickered quietly.
Hawkblaze:
He huffed out a laugh. The stallion jerked forward when he saw her in pain but quickly held back. He was already breaking enough rules as it was. He didnât need another reason to be thrown out of Mountain Herd if anyone caught him.
Feeling guilty for not helping her, Hawkblaze carried on. âCinderfrost...right? I believe Iâve spoken to you before..er ...yâknow...â
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost smiled softly, "I honestly have no idea about the bird egg thing, maybe because, birds have meat, and newlyish laid eggs dont have meat?" Cinderfrost nickered. She shrugged her wings, wincing a little at the pain in her wing.
Hawkblaze:
Hawkblaze bit his lip and decided the best way of starting a conversation was to talk about the first thing that came into his mind. âWhy do birds taste so bad yet their eggs taste so good?â That was a stupid idea. âThat was a stupid idea.â Why did he say that? âWhy did I say that?â Hawkblaze smacked himself in the face with his wing. âIâm sorry. Sometimes my brain and my mouth refuse to corroborate...â
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost jerked her head up, surprised bu Hawkblaze,
"Ummmm Hi?" Cinderfrost nickered quietly, she wasn't used to anyone really talking to her alot in Moutian Herd, most everyone hated her.
Hawkblaze:
After banging his head on the tree a few more times he came up with a steady conclusion. He flared up with auburn and amber wings. The young stallion lifted off and glided next to Cinderfrost. âSo um...â He wanted to have a conversation but found it very difficult and awkward.
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost yawned and got up, ahe noticed Hawkblaze still at his post. She got up, and streched some, wincing at the pain in her leg and wing.
She walked over to some grass and grazed some.
Hawkblaze:
He watching Cinderfrost fall alseep. He watched the day blled into nightfall. He watched the birds of the mountains retreat to their nests. He watched and watched and watched. Watching was being to get very tiresome.
He watched to do something. Anything. Literally anything. He hit his head on the side of the tree. âThink.â He muttered to himself.
Iceblaze:
He looked down and a tear fell from his eye. He galloped away from his mother and father. "They don't need me anymore. They have my brother. I am just a stupid Horse!" He sobbed as he ran toward the ice lands
Sparrowlight:
Sparrowlight breathed a sigh of relief as he gently cradled the new foal in his wings. He had just pulled one last time, a gentle tug, and it had freed. He gently stood, the fragile thing in his wings, and brought to the front of Frostfeather so she wouldnât have to move.
A fatherly smile shined across his face, happiness evident in his voice as he said, âArenât they magnificent?â
This version of Sparrowlight was not common. This was the dazed, happy, breathless Sparrowlight that rarely came out to play.
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost ears swiveled, she heard the guards command, she knew if she did not obey, that she might get injured. She walked back over to Bravesky and sat down.
Instead, she would strengthen her wing, so she drew it in and out. Her wing felt tender and sore, but she did it anyways, after a while, she laid down and rested, she was still wide awake, ears swiveling.
Driftflame:
âI-Uh.â He coughed again but quickly regained his focus.
Copperfeather: Winces, but smiles at him, "Thank goodness you're awake! You really worried me. What happened?"
( How could I forget about her? XD )
Fernbreeze:
As she stepped onto the bank, stumbling, her ears caught a call. A strange call, one that sounded from far away, possibly the over-stallionâs. She quickly shouted, âSparkfire! Do you hear it?â
She didnât know where he was, but she did know that if he didnât respond to the call, things could get bad for him.
Cinderfrost,
Her ears swiveled listening to every sound, she heard a new steed land, she jerked her head up to see who it was, she spotted the new steed over by a tree, she noticed it was Hawkblaze.
Hawkblaze:
He glided into the valley, the small speckles of gold and copper on his dull wings shined in the sunlight as he moved. The young stallion noticed one of them grazing and the other still resting. Or maybe he was dead. Hawkblaze could care less. He landed down next to a tree that overlooked both steeds. He was about to greet them when he remembered not to interact with anyone. Ugh...being a Guard was so boring. If he were a captain heâd be able to do whatever he wanted.
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost took deep steadying breaths, she looked beside her Bravesky was still there, safe.
She stood up, wincing at the pain in her leg, she slowly walked over to some grass, and grazed some,
Her wing ached she guessed that the guard must of torn a muscle.
She streched it out as far as she could, wincing at the pain, she drew her wing back in and continued grazing.
Hawkblaze:
(Now I feel dumb.)
(Aw shoot never mind Violetcloud is Tundra Herdâs lead mare)
(Wait. Is Violetcloud supposed to be the Mountain Herd lead mare? We already have one in Goldencloud)
Violetclould,
Violetclould, took to the air, she wanted to talk with that new Moutian herd yearling that joined them. She flew all over the territory, but she couldn't find her.
She flew to her mate and landed.
She nuzzled him softly, "have you seen Cinderfrost? I tried to find her but I couldn't " Violetclould nickered.
Driftflame:
( gtg to bed, goodnight! )
Cinderfrost,
Cinderfrost's eyes slowly fluttered closed, and she fell asleep, moments later she found herself in a dream, she was on the border, Cinderfrost looked up, and saw Bravesky, but he was trailed by Bloodwing and Flamestrike.
Sparrowlight:
Sparrowlight whinnied, shrill and commanding, moving everyone out of the way. He knelt down beside her, his forelock matted and his ears pinned. He looked up and shouted, âWe need Snowroot!â
A mare with secretive eyes and an intelligent demeanor said, âSnowroot is unavailable. An illness that not even she can cure.â
Sparrowlight, taken aback, said, âDo you know how to help?â
The mare looked skeptical, but nodded tersely. She instructed Sparrowlight on exactly what he needed to do, and when to do it.
Snowroot:
Snowroot bristled slightly as another mare quite eccentrically started speaking with Icequake. I guess Iâll have to trek to a quarantine on my own, Snowroot thought dismally. She didnât like trekking, nor being by herself.
She started to make her way towards the place they had been headed, not entirely sure where she was going. She just hoped her gatherers would be enough to sustain the injured in this attack.
Moonwillow:
Sparrowlight:
Sparrowlight scanned the crowd for his mate, desperately. He had been called out another scouting mission and hadnât been able to see his adopted son, nor his mate. So, now, as he searched for them, he realized just how much he missed them.
As he spotted Frostfeather, his eyes widened in utter fear; she was writhing slightly in pain. Oh no, not now.... he thought desperately, spreading his wings to shove the pegasi out of his way as he galloped towards her.
Snowroot:
The Snow White mare nodded, a thankful tint in her eyes. She decided she liked this stallion.
As they landed, she fell the rest of the way with an exhausted huff, not pleased with her shivers. She looked u[ at Icequake, brief and quick, but it enough to take in his icy brilliance.
Very self-consciously, she noted that there wasnât a way he could love her; a, she was a medicine mare, and b, she was going to die in a few days from this decease.
Just my luck, she thought bitterly.
( Nah I still want Sparrowlight lol )
(I want to make another pegasus...Iâm not sure if thatâs allowed. Iâve reached my limit with three. But I kinda want to make another villain.)
Moonwillow:
Random Stallion:
"Try to survive this blasted battle," the accompanying warrior snarled, "And save Tundra Herd."
Darkheart: Squished between bodies of pegasi he didn't know, Darkheart looked around for someone he recognized, or at least someone who could assign him a role or job, "Um, excuse me? Can anyone tell me how I can help?"
