Every fun thing has its end, and I do believe that the Pegasi and Centaurs RP is coming to a close. It might not be exactly this moment, but it will be eventually, I’m sure. We’re all growing up, some of us even out of high school, and have other things going on in our lives. I will keep the RP open just cause, but I made this post to give the opportunity for everyone to write their characters’ endings just as a nice closing and for those who want to leave officially. I’ll stick around for a little bit, although not as frequently as I used to be of course.
Anyway, feel free to write whatever! If you aren't officially leaving yet like me, you don't have to write your characters' endings. I'll do mine in time 😅.
(I have a CRAP ton of characters so I’ll prolly have to write a couple different comments to pace myself and make sure each character has a well-written ending! (And so it doesn’t get too long heheh y’all know that’s my specialty XD) I’ll just start with my main/first characters!)
Fawnroot:
(She was my first Pegasus OC in this role-play and she holds a special place in my heart)
Fawnroot continued as the sole medicine mare of Sun herd for many more years. Alongside Callum as a mediator, she supported him in any way she could, and tried helping to convince her herd and leaders that co-existence with centaurs was possible. During this time, Fawnroot, with the help of Callum and other centaurs, took it upon herself to learn how to read. (Don’t ask me how that would work XD this is a fictional world of English speaking centaurs and flying horses XDD plus it’s fitting to her character). Even though she couldn’t write, she could study Centaurian history, politics, and improve her medical knowledge: she quickly became obsessed with books and is often found reading in her free-time.
She was emotionally and physically pushed to her limits during the period of war with Mountain herd. She got little rest as most of her time was devoted to the injured steeds coming back from war, and spent the remainder of her time and energy worrying for Callum and his well-being.
Rimecrest’s death hit her especially hard: she cared deeply for the young stallion, and felt responsible for him and his safety. Callum was the only person she would speak to in the days immediately following his passing. However, with the war steaming on and Fig determined to win, she knew she had a job to do: she thrusted herself into her duty and tried to save as many lives as possible. That being said, she lost weight and was always tired with constant headaches.
(If it’s alright with Ashsong) I can see her and Ulrani, Jonirestown’s main healer, working together on several occasions since both Sun herd and Johnirestown citizens were wounded. They shared their experiences with each other which expanded both their medical knowledge; Fawnroot learned more about centaurs and advanced techniques, and Ulrani learned more about pegasi and natural healing plants.
After the war with Mountain herd, she thought peace was finally possible. But, when Kilroy suddenly arrived and revealed Fig’s plot to betray Sun herd, the hope for peace came crashing down. She spent the minutes after learning about Fig’s treachery to hide the pregnant mares, young foals, and elderly/sick Pegasi away from the centaurs, not knowing what may happen to them if they got caught.
After Fig is defeated, her herd was incredibly unforgiving and skeptical of all centaurs, even those they are most comfortable with like Callum and Kilroy.
With a new over-stallion and lead mare, things began to change for the better and the pegasi’s way of life began returning to normal now that they were properly governed. Now in her late 20’s/early 30’s, Fawnroot relished in the peace and security that the new over-stallion brought, and was finally able to relax and focus on the one thing she’s always wanted; Callum. To her utter joy, he made their relationship official, and they became mates soon after. She continued working as medicine mare, and thoroughly enjoyed teaching any of the younger generation, both Pegasi and centaurs alike, who are interested in medicine and following in her stead.
Lastly, once Fawnroot and Callum officially become mates she decided to follow her heart -against the advice from Sun herd’s leaders and herd mates- and stayed with him year-round and never migrated again. She didn’t want to be separated from him once they were finally together and happy 🥺
@Ashsong you and i have talked about this before, but do we want to make it official in saying that Callum and Fawn had a centaur colt with wings? If so, I think it would be a perfect end to their story!)
(SHEESH IM SO SORRY THIS WAS JUST ONE CHARACTER AAAAAAAAA)
Rayfire:
(He’s Fawnroot’s sire and even though he’s not one of my main characters, his ending is related to Callum and Fawnroot’s)
Even though he was hesitant at the beginning, he got used to Callum’s permanent presence in Sun herd. He supported Callum and Fawnroot’s efforts for co-existing relationships and for peace treaties with the centaurs; he attended as many meetings as he could. The longer he spent with Callum, the more he began to see the depth of affection shared between the centaur and his daughter. He said nothing about their hidden relationship directly to them, but he did secretly support it.
Because of this, he and Fawnroot’s relationship softened over time. Rayfire apologized for his behavior and mistakes he made in his youth, and Fawnroot -the ever compassionate, empathetic mare- forgave him. When the war broke out with Mountain herd, they were conversing easily, grazing together, and even exchanged feathers when Rayfire and his troops first joined the battlefield.
However, in one of the last battles before the war ended, Rayfire got badly wounded. During the battle, a desperate Mountain herd stallion targeted Callum from the air, and Rayfire rushed to his defense. He jumped in front of the enemy’s attacks and took the blows. (An idea I’ve had for A WHILE now. I thought it would be a nice, poetic ending for him- defending Callum, his daughter’s love 🥺). Thanks to Fawnroot’s efforts, he slowly recovered, but is permanently grounded due to the damage sustained in his wings.
During the brief battle against Jonhirestown, he stayed with the vulnerable and innocent steeds that Fawnroot had hid before the war. Even though he could no longer fly, he stood guard over them and promsied to protect them should a centaur find their hiding place.
In the years following the wars and once a stable government was in place, he resigned his captain title and status, and took the new name Raysong out of respect and devotion to his deceased mate, Berrysong. He spends the rest of his days as a talented story teller, regaling anyone who listens with herd secrets, battle stories, and old legends.
Avery:
(I originally made her as a love interest for Cole, but she’s since grown into more than that! I now consider her as one of my main/favorite characters XDD)
Avery spent the rest of her life in Iraweigh with Cole (obviously) and only returned to Jonirestown to retrieve the rest of her instruments she had left behind, and to visit her sister every now and then. Her first priority after her and Cole got married was to move into their new house, and then to fix it up and make it a home.
Avery found work as a baker at the local bakery, which she thoroughly loved. She was still a musician and singer (she could never give that up), and if there was ever a talent show, or a need for an entertainer, you can bet Avery was the first to sign up.
She attended most of Cole’s boxing matches and made sure to cheer the loudest, but they started to get too stressful- especially during the ugly rounds when he got badly injured. (Fr drove Avery up a wall XDD and prolly spiked her blood pressure too XD). So when he got a job as a coach after 2 years, she was overjoyed. Around the same time that Cole settled into his new position, Avery found out she was pregnant with their first foal-another reason why she was extremely happy that Cole was now out of immediate danger in the ring. However, this news made her extremely nervous at first, especially since she grew up an orphan so she had no idea how to be a mother. It helped that Cole was no longer boxing competitively and they were able to spend more time together.
Avery is probably a very dramatic pregnant mare XD she’d worry and fuss over every little thing, visit the doctor at every small kick, and survive off chocolate as her due date got closer XDD
Once their foal was born, she wanted to find a job with a more reliable and increased income now that their family was growing. She would probably open a music department at Iraweigh’s school if they didn’t already have one, and become a music teacher; a job that fit her exceedingly well. In my opinion, I think she and Cole would go on to have more children in the future :)))
(The fact this is only 3 characters 🫣 IM SORRYYYYY FORGIVE ME)
Lily and Chandra
After things in Anok die down, Chandra proposes to Lily, which she delightedly accepts. Lily believes that she finally has the chance to start a family with a centaur she really loves, especially since Kilroy was never willing to reconcile with her. Soon, Lily gives birth to a daughter. She finds that being a mother isn’t simple as just finding a kind husband and that perhaps she has to take more responsibility then she thought she did for the failures of her previous family. This time, though, Lily reaches out to her community for support, and with theirs and Chandra’s help is able to raise their daughter the way she wants to.
Chandra, for his part, is delighted to have a daughter to play sports with, especially when his cricket playing days near their end.
Smurthi
Although her expectations of Sultaan were initially low, having the support of a kind and trustworthy centaur really helps her business and she feels less ostracized from society. One day, a gang of her debtors try to coerce her into forgiving their debts by using force and burning down her house. Sultaan helps fight off the attackers and she is able to rescue most of her things.
After this, she tells Sultaan that he has finished paying his debt and that, if he likes, she will support him in an entrepreneurial venture. When he begins is carpentry business, she advises him and guides him to success.
Govind
After traveling around a little more, Govind was able to find a new performing partner to accompany him as he tap dances. While he was always striving, he had never quite become the world famous star he dreamed of being, but he found happiness in performing all over Anok, including for Pegasi.
Govind soon finds that many Pegasi have artistic aptitude, and before long, one Pegasus after another join his performance troupe as he teaches them to tap dance, play instruments with their wings, and sing! Although it wasn’t quite in the way he expected, Govind is delighted that his name will go down in history as a hero of the arts.
The Battle between Sun Herd and Mountain Herd, Fig, and Kilroy Part 2
(This involves a lot of your characters, @Ashsong and @Riverbreeze , so please let me know if you have thoughts or adjustments.)
Fig works with Sun Herd to create a special team to rescue the foals from Mountain Herd, consisting of the most stealthy Pegasi and some of Johirestown’s most skilled regulars. Reiyzl, a special operations expert, leads the team in successfully rescuing the foals in the dead of night without anyone noticing. They are not able to rescue Coalwing because he is under very tight guard. During the mission, the team finds out that Birdwing, the leader of Mountain Herd, is very sick and near death, and that Aspidistrafire has taken control of the herd.
Sun Herd is very happy to have the foals back and is grateful for the centaurs’ help in getting them back, but they have only a few days to celebrate before a crazed Aspidistrafire sends them Coalwing’s dead body and threatens to attack.
Fig and a force of irregular soldiers come to Sun Herd as Callum leads them all in battle against Mountain Herd. It is a very difficult battle with Sun Herd taking heavy hits, including the loss of Rimecrest. Aspidistrafire is taken prisoner or killed (up to you guys who defeats her—could be Callum, or any Sun Herd or irregular soldier like Hawkflight or Kavani). Mountain Herd retreats in leaderless disarray and eventually chooses a more peaceful leader, possibly Elmtwist of Adderflame).
Meanwhile, Kilroy races back from Irichad as fast as he possibly can back to Sun Herd to warn them about Fig’s true intentions. As he passes through Johirestown, he sees Fig’s regular soldiers (who had not fought Mountain Herd like the irregulars) preparing for battle. He runs as fast as he can to Sun Herd, just ahead of the regulars. Once he gets to Sun Herd, he begs for an audience with Fawnroot and Callum, but Fig, having silenced him before, tries to capture him again. Luckily, Hawkfligjt chooses this opportunity to be obstinate with Fig and Kilroy is able to get to Callum.
Kilroy tells Callum that the regular troops are about to arrive in Sun Herd and that Fig is about to betray them and defeat the Pegasi at their weakest state. Knowing that Callum is already exhausted from fighting Mountain Herd and believing that Fig must be stopped immediately, Kilroy gives him a poisoned dagger to kill him. Minutes later, the regulars attack Sun Herd and Fig orders the irregulars to join him.
Overcoming his terror and helplessness, Kilroy goes out in the fray and convinces some members of the irregulars to stop fighting. Callum is able to defeat Fig (whether or not he kills him is up to Ash).
Sun Herd emerges from the battle intact, but the trust between Johirestown and Sun Herd is almost completely destroyed. The only thing preventing all out war is the fact that Callum and some of the irregulars defended Sun Herd, and the efforts of Fawnroot and Kilroy at mediation.
Over the next 5 years, Kilroy works ferociously to bring centaurs and Pegasi together and to normalize relations between them as Sun Herd and Johirestown rebuild their governments. Fig, if he survived, is put on trial for war crimes, but drinks a vial of poison at the conclusion of the trial when he is found guilty. Kilroy is depressed for some time, both because he is responsible for the death of his father but also because he didn’t speak up soon enough about the atrocities his father had committed and the evil was capable of, and holds himself responsible for Sun Herd’s losses.
Eventually, with the help of Sunpond and Romie and his other friends, Kilroy gets better, and is able to live the rest of his life traveling around Anok helping different Pegasi herds learn to live with the centaurs.
Carmela and Kilroy Part 1
A lot of this will depend on how @Riverbreeze makes the chiefs act, so I’ll leave the ultimate fate of Irichad for her to decide, but this is what I have so far:
As you know, Carmela demands an explanation from the chiefs of what has been hidden from the people of Irichad about the expedition. Whatever their answer is, she finds it completely inadequate and tells as many people as she can everything she knows. She organizes a demonstration during the Solstice Festival, claiming that generations of chiefs have failed the centaurs of Irichad and that is time to form a new government.
Carmela also prioritizes taking down Chief Seamus over fighting with Snow Herd, and wants to send a negotiating party to get any of the hostages left back.
Kilroy is not sure who’s side to take, but he wants peace with Snow Herd more than anything else, so he will take a small party of Irich guards and revolutionaries with him, with or without the permission of Chief Seamus and Carmela, and negotiate with Snow Herd.
By the time Kilroy’s party arrives, the remaining prisoners are dead. Snow Herd is actually apologetic because they had never meant for the scouts to die. They had known about Irichad ever since it was first built centuries ago, but had decided to leave it alone as they would a herd of horses. When the scouts arrived, they came perilously close to a nursery full of foals, so Snow Herd chased them into the Ice Caverns. By the time they realized that the scouts weren’t a threat, it was too late—because the centaurs could not fly, they would not be able to leave the Ice Caverns. Snow Herd tried to communicate with them to explain the situation, but they didn’t speak Irich, and whenever they approached, the terrified centaurs started throwing rocks at them. Romie and Lanceril had been able to escape through a crevice in the ice too small for the other centaurs to slide through.
Once Kilroy realized what has happened, he assures Snow Herd that Irichad had meant them no harm, but also tells them that Irichad is in the midst of a political crisis and that there is a danger that when the Irich learn that the remaining prisoners are dead, they may try to attack. He promises that he will do everything in his power to prevent that from happening, whoever comes to power, and brings a flightless Pegasus from Snow Herd back with him to Irichad as an emissary. In the meantime, Snow Herd builds defensive fortifications and sends its foals to safety in a hidden location.
I have a lot of characters I love, so ima do all of them. Some will get more detail than others.
Ashtohn Catteli:
(He was my very first oc, and the first to have a romance with Cinder’s oc Sage. He never really had a whole lot of personality unfortunately 😔🤚)
Ashtohn eventually mended his relationship with his younger stepbrother Bhearit. He stuck around for awhile to make sure Bhearit had a good foundation, helping him to get a job of his own as well as with relationship advice.
He and Bhearit never really got super close, but things were mutually pleasant between them. Eventually Ashtohn did move to Iraweigh and started a small family of his own with a nice centauress he met there. He makes sure to keep in touch with his stepbrother every once in awhile. :)
Sultaan Kierst:
(I really liked Sultaan because he was the most unique out of the rest of my OCs, being mute. I really love his and Reba’s dynamic, and I’ll always ship them!)
Sultaan did not stay in his work of doing odd jobs as he took on the responsibility of caring for Reba and the baby. He started his own carpenter business, having quite a talent in it.
Sultaan had the rather terrifying privilege of getting to meet Reba’s parents, but they did warm up to him to his relief.
Sultaan also (later on when he was twenty or so, and once having a proper home and sound career) asked Reba if he could make the responsibility of protecting and caring for her and her child official. In other words, he asked to marry her. (Teehee)
Callum Docchi:
(Callum has been my main OC centaur since the beginning of my RP (although not the first OC like Ashtohn was).)
Callum would go on to live with Fawnroot and her herd, eventually taking on the role of mediator between Sun Herd and the centaur people, specifically Johirestown. He made sure to make himself useful to the pegasus leaders, doing his part as necessary in Fawnroot’s herd.
Of course, Callum didn’t work to make his relationship with the medicine mare official due to struggles with politics in Sun Herd and Johirestown for the next several years. So he had to put his own heart’s desires away for awhile.
The captured Sun Herd foals were eventually rescued; and as for Coalwing, well, he passed in unspecified or rather mysterious circumstances. No one really knows how to this day. The pegasi elected a new over stallion for Sun Herd, one with a clearer and wiser mind who had a mate worthy of being lead mare along with heirs, none of which Coalwing had.
A steady peace was established between Mountain Herd and Sun Herd, but not without cost. It took more than simple arguments to ensure cooperation between the two herds. Rimecrest did his part as best he could, although passing in the midst of the conflict. It took his death and many others’ to bring the war to an end. He, among the others’ whose lives were lost, are honored as those who fought to continue Star’s way.
After five years, peace was finally established, and both sides settled down. Callum finally, with much patient reasoning, made his relationship with Fawnroot official. He remained in Sun Herd with her for the rest of his life.
Bhearit Catteli:
(He wasn’t originally supposed to be such a main OC for me but he ended up being so thanks to Kavani and Kollin coming along XDD)
Bhearit would not try to pursue a full time occupation in inventions (after being reasoned with by Ashtohn of course). He would keep his love for tinkering as a side hobby, occasionally being able to make a few sales. He took up a job in construction, helping build a larger school as Johirestown grew.
He eventually convinced Kavani and Kollin to move in with him after making just a few “minor” renovations to his home. (Aka the addition of two more bedrooms and cleaning up the dump of scraps and half finished inventions in his dining room)
Bhearit never saw his biological mother and father again, nor heard of them. He learned that in the will of his stepmother, he became the owner of the house she had raised him and Ashtohn in. He then decided to rent it to people in need of stay, particularly those with families. This brought a good amount of income, and he used it to fulfill Kollin’s needs as well as other things.
Bhearit would come to terms with his love for Kavani in the next year, but would go about it quietly and carefully (and rather uncertainly) for awhile as he waited and watched to see if his feelings were mutual. Eventually this did become true after a long time of patient waiting. (I’m not going to go into detail since Kavani is River’s OC!)
Cole Finau:
(Cole was not my OC originally as y’all prbly know already. He was actually my sister’s while she was on this RP. Then she left 😤. So I claimed him as my own and glad I did bcus I literally love Colvery so muchhh)
Cole would continue his boxing career for the next few years, gaining much income from his many victories. Within that timespan, Cole married Avery. Thanks to the money he gained from his career, he was able to purchase a comfortable home for Avery, making sure it was one she liked. For two years of their marriage he continued boxing, but soon it was evident that he needed to resign and start focusing on family. (Especially since he was constantly coming home with injuries of all sorts, particularly having several occasions where he was in the hospital.) (prbly drove Avery up the walls fr fr)
Cole got the job as a boxing coach instead, guiding young stallions in their careers just like his coach did. It was mostly in honor of his coach, who passed of a heart attack just a little after Cole’s and Avery’s marriage. This new career did bring steady, safe income to Cole and his family.
