I have now read both TLC and Renegades, and I can wholeheartedly say I ADORE Marrissa Meyer's books! They are AMAZING, 100% recommend them.
I have a friend who is absolutely OBSESSED with Merissa Meyer, she forced me into he Renegades series and is reading Karma right now
