Summary:
The struggle to find Aquafeather’s friends and the drama of Skyspring’s other foal continues! Galewind, Feathersky, and Skyspring were headed to find Aquafeather’s captured friends (Tealflame, Spottedwind, and Pebblefrost), but Skyspring got stopped by Darkstone, who told her that Icewind has her filly, Skysong. Galewind and Feathersky followed Skyspring, and are now back with the others. Meanwhile, Skysun found Aspenleaf, a medicine mare apprentice and brought her back so she could care for Moonsky (who was caught in in a mudslide) and Aquafeather (who was trapped beneath a tree). Moonbreeze seems to be recovered from also being caught in the mudslide. Aspenleaf found that Skysun mistakenly put yarrow instead of ginger on Aquafeather’s wounds, and this has lead Skysun to question her place in the group. Aspenleaf cared for Moonsky’s wounds, and then found that Aquafeather’s shoulder wound was infected. Aspenleaf is draining Aquafeather’s wound, and Aquafeather is losing consciousness. Violetrain has escaped and is on her way to find Icewind. Meanwhile, in Icewind’s team, Duskfeather and Darkstone are trying to find a way to get Skysong back to Skyspring. Silverthorn has joined them, put still has her faith in Icewind. Skysong is hungry, and needs to be fed. Firethorn, Wildstrike, Ravenfrost, and the pegasi they have captured are nearing the Interior, and the time for them to be saved in dwindling. Tealflame and Spottedwind are arguing about who should escape to get help.

Spots start to appear before her eyes and darkness seems to close in.

She mixed some herbs together in a poultice, and spread in onto Aquafeather's wound. After that, she rinsed her wings off in the rain, and started making another poultice for her to drink when she woke up.

She nods, "We find the rebels, we find her."
Silverthorn:
”With the rebels?!?” She exploded. “Who is her mother?”

he looked up ahead, "We should arive at Wind Herd in the next day, if nothing slows us down,

”This is good news. I was afraid of Tealflame’s sister coming with more pegasi, but being only one day away, I doubt that they would come.”

Sorry I wasn't on like at ALL yesterday. I had a Halloween Party to go to that my Aunt was throwing, then I went to my Great Grandma's, my Great Aunt's, and my other Grandma's.)

(BTW I'm going to be gone like all day tomorrow a friend is throwing a small Halloween party (social Distanced and masks but yeah XD) probs won't be back till 11 PM MST)

She flicked her free wing slightly.
Feathersky:
"Good."
Spottedwind,
"I-I won't," she nickered softly.
Feathersky:
"Don't put up a fight." She warned

Sje winced but allowed herself to follow Feathersky.

She grabbed the filly's wing
Wildstrike,
"Alright," he nickered.
Feathersky:
'You can trust me. I didn't get to be one of the youngest captains in the army for nothing. I'll keep her safe and turn her straight over to Nightwing."
Wildstrike,
"Yes, She's important!" He snorted.
Feathersky:
She gave a laugh. "Nightwing asked for her especially."
Wildstrike,
He eyed Featherstone suspiciously, but let go of the wing, "this filly stays with us," he snorted.
Feathersky:
She rounded them up, "Release that other filly." She ordered Wildstrike
Galewind:
She stared at Feathersky, confused. She tried to look excited. "Thank you!" She said, hoping it sounded like she meant it. She looked at the guards. "We really need to get back to Wind Herd," She said. "We have to get these escapees back to Nightwing before they have another chance to escape."
Feathersky:
She wlked over to Galewind, "Good work soldier! I shall see if Nightwing will promote you sooner."
Galewind:
She tried to look fierce, but felt like she was failing miserably.
Feathersky:
"Release her now." She spat out, "I will compete my mission
Spottedwind,
She winced has her brother tightened his grip on her wing.
(oof, I missed a LOT!)
Galewind:
She gaped at her friends. Is Feathersky actually on their side, or is she a double agent? She wasn't sure.

Feathersky:
She gave the filly a glare. "What was your sister's name?"
Skysun:
Drawing on her experiences of high flight, and the wind being knocked out of her lungs, she gasped for air, as if hyperventilating, "N...No...p...please...I...I can't...can't go...go b...back! I...if I...I do, m...m...my sister's...s...s...sacrifice...w...will...b..be in v...vain!"
Feathersky:
She laughed a hard laugh. "I can't let you go. He'd kill me for that. And if you die for your crimes than you will die a deserved death."
Skysun:
She stepped back, as if in fear, her wings rattling, "N...No! Please! Let me go! He'll kill me if you bring me back! L...Let me go live on Crabwing's Bay, or...or somewhere else! I...I won't bother you, I promise!"
Feathersky:
"And that's where you're headed. You will answer to Nightwing himself for your crimes!" She said
Skysun:
She growled, "You still did it!" She snapped, flaring her wings, "He was my FATHER, of COURSE I would lose faith in Nightwing after that!" She growled, "And if it wasn't for my SISTER I'd still be IN there!" Her nostrils were flared and eyes narrowed, and she pawed the ground to add to the effect of her anger.
Feathersky:
'He didn't FORCE me to I did it with his permission." She said ruthlessly.
Skysun:
She snorted, "They're captains all right." She snarled, trying to keep up the act, "Who do you think killed my father? Nightwing sure didn't, he forced THEM to after he tried to help me escape."

Feathersky:
She sighed and raised her wing showing the mark of a captain that her brother had helped Nightwing design. (Is that ok?)
Firethorn:
”You two don’t look even two years old.” He points out, growing suspicious of the two. “Prove to me that you work with Nightwing.”
Wildstrike,
He walked over to Spottedwind, and held her wings tightly in his mouth.
Ravenfrost,
His breathing was shallow from his broken ribs, but he nodded.
Feathersky:
"I was made a captain in my herd and when Nightwing took over I desided to work with him. In my herd I was a captain for 2 years."
Galewind:
"Nightwing needed more captains to enforce the army and keep Wind Herd disciplined, and we met the task well." She "explained.
Firethorn:
His eyes narrow. “Two years ago? Then how come I haven’t heard of you by now? I work with Nightwing. And since when are mares captains?”
Feathersky:
"I will be sure to tell Nightwing that you captured them."
Galewind:
"Thank you for capturing these escapees," She lied. The words felt horrible in her mouth, and she hated the fact that she had to say them.
Feathersky:
"2 years ago." She said iceily, "And we need to go now if we want to get back to the herd by nightfall."
Firethorn:
”Oh, when did you become captains?” He asked, curious.
Tealflame:
He stands up, pretending to be scared of Galewind even though he was relived.
Galewind:
"I'm Galebreeze, and I'm in training to become a captain," SHe said. "This is my last assignment before I get promoted," She lied.
Feathersky:
"I am Skyfeather one of his most honered Captains." She said
Galewind:
"Get up," SHe ordered Tealflame, but she kept her eyes soft so he knew she wasn't actually like this.
Firethorn:
”What do you mean?” He asked, surprised. “I didn’t know you worked with Nightwing. It appeared as though you were trying to sneak them away.“ He gets up from his position on Tealflame, slightly worried. “Are you okay, Ravenfrost?” He asked his companion.

She's surprised the stallions hadn't realized they were who they said they were yet. She tried to not look in Firethorn's eyes, otherwise he would realize they were lying.
Feathersky:
"I think I might need to report you to Nightwing soldier." She said to Firethorn
Skysun:
She flinched, following Feathersky and Galewind.
Feathersky:
"Let's go filly." She spat, she was very good at his, years with her brother had taught her how to be intimidating and cruel when needed

She snorted, stepping to the side.
Galewind:
She "glared" at Skysun, hoping she knew it was fake. "I said, LET. HIM. GO." She in what she hoped was an intimidating voice.

Galewind:
"Skyfeather, get the filly into the pine grove, I'll get the colt" She said.
Skysun:
She snorted, lifting her nose indignantly, "Nightwing won't look at ME!" She snapped, hoping her friends would get them out of this mess.
Galewind:
She nodded. She was glad that she had a larger build from being from Snow Herd, it helped her seem older that she really was.
Feathersky:
"Get that filly too. Nightwing will want to see her." She said
Skysun:
She glanced at them in shock, not taking her eyes off of Firethorn, "Take him and run...I'll hold them off..." She whispered to Galewind as she passed.
Galewind:
She nodded. She trotted towards Tealflame and swelled up her chest and stood tall, making her look larger than she really was. "Let go him," She said to Firethorn in her most intimidating voice.
Feathersky:
'Galebreeze round up the prisoners." She comanded

She gaped at the scene in front of her. She decided to let Feathersky do the talking, and hope she could get them out of this mess.
Feathersky:
'STOP IT IMEDIEATLY! How will Nightwing act when he finds out this is how you treat the prisoners he sent me to fetch?!" She asked indignatly, acting MUCH older than she was. "I could have you kicked out of the army!"

Skysun:
Her eyes flash with surprise, but quickly turns to determination as she prepares herself for the attack.

Firethorn:
Fury lights his eyes, and he leaps at Skysun.
Tealflame:
He wobbles to his hooves, and after a moon of blocking his anger, he charges at Firethorn

Skysun:
Hearing Firethorn's declaration she smirked, folding in her wings tightly and diving like a bomb towards Firethorn. Landing right next to him, she leapt at him, using her weight to throw him off the colt, using an element of surprise to help her dissemblance him. Standing between Firethorn and Tealflame she squealed, knowing this would give away her cover, "RUN! FOR GOODNESS SAKE, RUN!"
Firethorn:
He lands on Tealflame’s back, forcing the stallion down.
Tealflame:
Helpless and sprawled on the ground, he awaits his fate.
Firethorn:
He raises his sharpened hoof. “I will kill him if you come one step closer or try to attack me.”
Skysun:
Her eyes hardened when Firethorn turned away, she NEEDED to protect her friends.
Firethorn:
No time to waste doubting her... He nods once, and zooms toward the escapees, still suspicious of her. He plunges down, prepared to fall onto Tealflame’s back. (I can’t decide who, so can you roll, Skysun?)

She whirled around to see her brother Wildstrike coming after her.
She pawed her hood angerly, "Just try and keep my captured brother," she snorted.
Skysun:
Her eyes were wide in shock, "I...I..." She fluttered slightly, "I was TRYING to help you!" She nickered, "Sorry about bumping into you!"
Ravenfrost,
"Oof," he heard a crack in his sides and knew that some of his ribs broke, he toppled to the side.
Firethorn:
Surprise shot threw him as he cartwheeled in the air. However, the yearling’s weight was not enough to send him to the ground. Who should I go after? Blazefeather or the others?
In a split second decision, he decided to go after Blazefeather. He spun around.
”You!” He snarled. “Are you truly allied with Nightwing? I knew something was off!” (He really didn’t though:)
Skysun:
She whirls around, slamming her hooves into one of the other steeds next to her before she launches herself into the sky, using her Desert Herd speed to catch up to Firethorn. She slammed into him, hoping she would send him flying to the ground.
Firethorn:
”Oh.” He shakes his head. “In the morning, you can fly ahead of us and let him know that we are coming. It is too late to start now. Wildstrike, you can take the next watch.” He turns around to go to sleep, but find something amiss. He spots foreign pegasi talking to the pegasi he captured.
”Look! They are trying to escape!” He rears, and launches into the air, bearing down on the pegasi trying to escape.
Skysun:
She tilts her head, "You MUST be tired." She nickered, "I asked WHEN should I tell him you're coming back?"
Firethorn:
”Yes, you can tell him that.” He stretches his wings, visibly tired

Tealflame:
He nods. “You will have to carry me, they broke my wing.”
Skysun:
She spreads her wings, stretching them. "So...when should I tell Nightwing that you'll be heading back?" She nickered, hoping her friends heard the words 'head back' from that.

Galewind:
She nodded. "We have to go now, before the guards get suspicious." She whispered.
Skysun:
She flicks her tail, smiling at the guards, "I'm glad you guys are willing to talk with me! I know it's late, it took me a while to get going." She nickered with a flick of her mane.
Tealflame:
He grows excited. “Hold on a second, you are friends of Aquafeather?” His smile grows wide. “I knew she would come back for me!”

She nodded slightly.
Galewind:
"oh. We'll carry him, then. WE have to go now. Follow us," She turned and gently trotted away towards the pine trees.

"Tealflame can't fly though, " she whispered softly.
Galewind:
"Nice to meet you," She whispered. SHe looked around. "We need to go now, before they get distracted. If things go wrong, fly away as fast as you can."

"I'm Spottedwind, and that's Tealflame," she whispered back.
Galewind:
"By the way, I'm Galewind, and this is Feathersky." SHe said, introducing themselves.
Spottedwind,
She nodded slightly, Spottedwind glanced over at Tealflame then back at Galewind,

She glance around, looking for anyone that could possibly see them. "Follow us," She whispered.

She nodded slightly, not risking to talk incase her brothers or Firethorn heard her.
Galewind:
"We're friends of Aquafeather's," SHe whispered to Spottedwind. "She sent us to help you escape. We have a plan, but we have to be fast."
Skysun:
She chuckled, "I remember the day, Nightwing took Desert Herd. He killed my father and our Over-Stallion...and while I may never get over that, I know Nightwing willl be a great Leader." She had to mentally stop herself from grimacing once she said those words. She would never forgive Nightwing for what he did to her family.
