Skysun watched the path ahead of her through a break in the branches that concealed her from the ground below. She picked up a bone breaker, excitement coursing through her.
"WE should get there in a few minutes," She said, slightly nervous. She moved closer to Aquafeather so Violetrain wouldn't hear. "We have to be really careful we don't get OUR bones broken. I think that as soon as they start throwing the stones, we should fly up out of hitting range," She whispered
He grabbed a small rock in his wing and threw it at a pinecone. It knocked the pinecone down but didn't shatter it. "Perfect." He said, now knowing the strength of his rocks wouldn't hurt her to bad. "Yes!" He replied in the desert herd language
"I didn't grab any zappers, our aim isn't to kill Violetrain, just make her unable to walk." She said, "And right, do NOT hit our friends." She said seriously.
Skysun nods, "That would be GREAT," She said with a nod, "Everyone else, find a hoof-hold. I filled each basket around her with two stones each, so make your shots count!" She called to the group, "And anyone who needs help getting to a hoof-hold, just let me know."
She got back to the others. "They should be on their way, now. I think they are taking the long way, to give us more tie to prepare." She told them. Then she turned to Skysun. "Do you want me keep a lookout? I can let you know when they are in view."
(It's good!!!!!!!!! I had no idea what to do to explain to her, so this is perfect!!!!! I'm just annoyed because I don't want to ruin the perfect 444 comments on here, 😭 oh well)
Violetrain:
Raises an "eyebrow" "Welcome feast, huh?" She asked doubtfully.
”Got it! I have an idea!” She whispers, and then flys back to Violetrain. “Galewind told me that the others are half way done preparing the welcome feast we had set up for you, they wanted us to go the long route so they would have time to prepare.“ Suddenly, she slaps her wing over her mouth, horrified. “Why did I say that!?!” She shakes her head in shame. “I’m so sorry I spoiled it for you! We can’t let them find out that I told you, can you pretend I never told you?” She pleads. “I am so sorry! Well, follow me...” she says dejectedly. Inside, she laughs because the welcome feast is going to be different then what Violetrain expected...
"Yes, actually! How did you know?" She said. "But they're going to try and aim at Violetrain, to break one of her legs and her dependant on us." She glanced back at Violetrain, and smiled at her. "We have to be really careful to avoid the stones and make sure Violetrain doesn't escape," She whispered to Aquafeather.
Looks up as Galewind returned. “Hi Galewind! Did you find the path back that we usually take?” She lies, trying to get away from Violetrain for a moment so Galewind can tell her the plan. “Did you find anything odd?” She flies over to Galwind’s side.
Skysun brought back a bunch of large stones and put them in the baskets, depositing them in the hoof hold baskets. She landed next to Moonsky, "How's it going?" She asked. (Gtg, be bk tomorrow!)
Sees Moonbreeze flying towards them. "I'll be right back," She whispered to Aquafeather. She flew to Moonbreeze. "What's up, sis?"
Moonbreeze:
"We have a plan," She told Galewind. They're going to throw bone-breakers at Violetrain's legs to try and make her dependant on us." At Galewind's confused expression, she explained further. "Jungle Herd method." She explained. "I have to get back, they may need me. try not to have your bones broken."
Galewind:
She nodded, then went back to tell Aquafeather the plan.
Brambletail would probably bbe training with Moonsky before they head to the Hoof-Holds to throw bonebreakers at Violetrain to make her dependent on them))
She nods, "That would be great, Moonsky. Can you teach them while I gather the stones? I'm probably the one who needs the least amount of training since I fought in the Battle that happened here not too long ago."
Skysun sighed, turning to the others, "Alright! Everyone to a hoof-hold! I'll grab some bonebreakers. We don't need many, just enough to make Violetrain dependent on us." She nickered. She knew she had to hurry, for this plan to work, everyone had to either be in a hoof-hold or somewhere out of sight.
"ok," She said. "Wish me luck" She lifted off and flew to where she knew Aquafeather and Galewind would take Violetrain. She flew in shadows as much as she could, trying not to be seen. It was a good thing her coat was fairly dark, except for her pintaloosa markings.
Skysun nods, "Be careful, ok? I don't want anything to happen to any of us." She nickered with a determined smile, "Fly swiftly and get the message to Aquafeather, I'll make sure everyone is ready here."
"Yeah. Besides I'm the only one who know where they are, and you need to be here to get everyone ready." She said. But she was scared. But she still had to do it.
Turns away from Violetrain to Galewind. “She could help us right?” Aquafeather lightly shakes her head, hoping that Galewind will understand that she is just trying to gain Violetrain’s trust and does not mean it.
She nods, "I'll get everyone here prepared. We'll be stationed in that cluster of trees there." she said pointing with her wing to where she had said they would be.
She nods, "I'm the fastest flyer here, but I don't want Violetrain to know I'm here yet. Buuuut...maybe I should run the plan by Aquafeather before we go through with it?"
Skysun's ears twitched, "I was in the trees during that battle. I was more adept for the bonebreakers. Maaaaybe...if you're ok with it I mean, you could be the bait?" She suggested.
"But we don't know how to throw bone breakers! or any rocks!" She said. "At least, Galewind and I don't... We didn't go to the Trap to hide from Nightwing, since we're from Snow Herd."
Skysun looks thoughtful for a moment, "Hmmm..." Her eyes lit up, "Maybe we could use some tactics that Star and River Herd used in that battle that occurred here not too long ago. I saw the hoof-holds on my scouting mission!" She grew more excited by the moment, "We could use bonebreakers and break a leg or two, making her dependent on us! And my mom showed me how to pluck just the flight feathers so they are grounded, but will still be able to fly when they grow back in!"
"Let's just keep leading her on," She said. "Hey, Violerain! We need your help!"
Violetrain:
She forgot how stupid foals, even yearlings, could be. She walked over. "What is it?" She asked. Might as well lead them on a little longer, then call Icewind.
Galewind:
"We're not sure how to get the willowbark. We know what it's for, and how to use it, but we don't know how to get it off of the tree. We figured, since you mother was the medicine mare and all, you'll know." She said, lying.
”I know.” she huffs. “Got anymore ideas on how to keep her distracted? We could also just lead her back now...” She looks back up at the willow tree in despair.
She nods and continues looking for a willow tree. “Here it is!” She says cheerfully as she finally finds one. Inside, she sighs with relief. However, she grows nervous again as she realizes that she has almost no idea how to use it or even get it off the tree properly...
She snorts and rolls her eyes. "I've felt worse," She said. It was true. once, during a battle, her leg got broken and she couldn't walk for over a moon.
“Huh? I didn’t know that she had any children.” She quickly thinks of the herbs Spottedwind put on Tealflame’s leg. “It is called willow tree bark. I saw a willow tree somewhere over here...” she neighs.
Quickly follows Aquawind, not wanting to be alone with Violetrain.
Violetrain:
Is almost positive that they know what she's up to. "What herb are you looking for?" She asked, pretending to be interested. "My mother was Snow Herd's old medicine mare,"a lie. "I may know where to find it."
”Let me see... I think I know what herbs can help. Oh where was it? Oh! I remember! Follow me!“ She flys into the forest, taking the longer route as she pretends to look for the herb.
Is getting suspicious that they might have caught onto her. "Oh, it's completely safe," She said. There is even a beautiful waterfall and meadow!" She lied
She feels unsure of how to respond. “Wow! A shortcut! It might be unsafe though... just follow us! This route is much more scenic.“ She whinnies, thinking on the spot.
"Wow, umm, thank you. Sure! I saw you and your friends over there earlier, and I know of a shortcut, if you want to see it?" She said, lying about the shortcut. It was really a trap that Icewind had set up to catch them.
“As long as we are careful, and don’t go where Violetrain tells us to go, we will have a good chance of pulling this off.” She whispers. “Your welcome, Violetrain! If you follow us, we can show you to the others. They would love to meet you!” She whinnies cheerfully, shedding a few feathers in nervousness.
"I doubt Galewind and Aquafeather can keep Violetrain occupied long enough for us to learn an entire LANGUAGE... But it's a good idea! Maybe you can just give us the pointers?" She said
"Sky Herders!" She replied, "My mom was a Sky Herder back in Desert Herd!" She smiled broadly, "If I teach you the language we can keep eachother in a strategy while keeping Violetrain out of it!"
”By talking to her, I guess. We can tell her that show her our camp, but go on a longer route.“ She begins to fly towards Violetrain. “Hello!” She says cheerfully “What is your name? I am Aquafeather!”

"Yes. No. I don't know... but I don't think it's good. Violetrain, a member of Icewind's team, came up to Galewind and I, claiming that Icewind kicked her out of the mission, and asked for help. We're pretty sure it's a trap, but Aquafeather hopes we can trap Violetrain, and use her against Icewind. Aquafeather and Galewind sent me back to warn you guys, and to figure out how to trap her, while they distract her." She explained
Hoped Galewind and Aquafeather would be careful, and that they knew what they were doing. She flew back to the others. She landed and clapped her wings, getting everyone's attention.

"I hide in the trees above you. If they Violetrain spots me I'll just say that I was looking for them to tell you guys that they're here."

He struggled into 4 hoof holds. He quickly gained his balence and felt very safe in teh hoofholds
She trotted through the undergrowth, gathering as many zappers as she could.
Skysun's eyes widened, "Great idea! I'll grab some!"

"I was planing to throw them into the bushes and off trees to more thruroly scare her."
