So I decided to try and write a story, here it is!

Sundrop looked up at his frail mother, Misticjade. She was sleeping,her wings folded at her sides neatly. Sundrop got up and trotted to the river near by, the water was cold and refreshing. He looked up at the bright stars, wondering what it would be like to live among them. A twig sbapped behind Sundrop and he twirled around. There was a shadow creeping through the trees watching him with bright green eyes, a Jaguar! Sundrop started to back up but the river was to close to go very far. He looked at the strong current that would drown him then back to the jaguar. There was nothing he could do.

"Mama?" He called out into the jungle. The only reply he got was a deep growl. Sundrop froze. This was it. This was the end. The jaguars feet left the ground as it pounced baring its fangs. Sundrop closed his eyes not wanting to watch it. But it never happened. The jaguar didnt come. He opened his eyes and saw the jaguar laying by a tree that had a dent in it. He looked away from the jaguar to his mother.

"Mama you came!"

Misticjade studied him. "Are you hurt?"

"No im ok are you?"

Before Misticjade could answer the jaguar lept onto her back holding on with his claws and biting, a trail of blood running down Misticjades beautiful coat. Misticjade scrame and reared but the jaguar wouldnt go down without a fight. It bit hard on her neck. Sundrop just stood, frozen to the ground, helpless. Misticjade scrame and fell to the ground hitting her head on a rock.

"Mama!!" Sundrop yelled kicking the jaguar off her. "You killed her!" He yelled at the jaguar filled with anger. He chargered the beast kicking with his sharp hooves. The jaguar bit and clawed but he couldnt fight the colts anger. Suddenly a black ray shot at the jaguar, sending it flying into a tree, which broke in half with the force. The jaguar fell on the ground burnt and wounded. But Sundrop didnt stop he kicked and kicked until his legs hurt. The jaguar layed motionless on the ground. Sundrop ran to his mothers side.

Mistjade looked into his eyes a puddle of blood surrounding her.

"Sundrop I have to leave you im sorry."

Sundrop dropped on his knees by his mother." No mama you can stay the jaguar is gone."

"I wish I could."

"Mama stay with me!" Tears streamed down Sundrops face.

"Sundrop I will always be watching over you. You have a special power you.." A single tear ran down Misticjades cheek falling on the ground with a splash. "Goodbye Sundrop, I love you.." Misticjade took a shaky breathe, the last breathe she ever took.
