Shadecloud stood up. She was shaking violently. She looked at me. "Morningcloud. I'm so sorry. I- I was hit in the head and I forgot everything. Like what I did to Starwing." I gasped. What did she mean, she forgot!? She was one of my best friends before she changed! But my answer came when I heard a familiar whinny. Before I saw him, I knew it was my brother. He was the same- a handsome buckskin coat, wide blaze, and jade feathers. The only thing different I saw about him was the tiny silver foal with a wide blaze, a right hind sock, and purple feathers with jade tips. Hazelwind had a foal! But who was his mate? The mysterious mare was nowhere in sight. But looking at the foal, I saw Hazelwind and- Echofrost. I broke down crying. Hazelwind and Echofrost had a foal! I stared at my brother. "Hazelwind! Your here! You came back for me! And you have a foal! Where's her dam? Where's Echofrost? What's her name? When was she born? Is she happy? Does she know who I am? Is she aware I'm her aunt? Does she know the legend of Star and Nightflame? How does she- you have a landwalker on your back!!!" I screeched. The landwalker was a girl. She was very beautiful, with amber eyes and dark - almost black - hair that went down to her waist. Three more pegasus flew in next to her. I recognized my best friend Echofrost and a mare that left when Storm Herd crossed the Dark Waters, I think her name was Shysong. On Echofrost was a boy that had the same golden eyes and dark brown hair that the girl on Hazelwind had. On Shysong was a girl with shoulder length golden hair about the landwalker boy cub's age, probably 19 or 20. She had a large rounded belly, and she was holding hands with the boy. I guessed she was pregnant. Then flew in a large chestnut stallion I didn't recognize. On him was a boy probably 30 or 35 years, and a small girl about 26 or 27 years. She was holding on to the waist of the older boy, the adult. Beside them was another unfamiliar mare with a very large belly. She was pregnant with twins, maybe even triplets. There was a girl about 3 or 4 years old on her back. She looked like the cub of the girl and boy on the chestnut stallion. Then the rest of Storm Herd came in, all with riders on their back. There was Dewberry, with two twin yearlings holding a 16 or 17 year old on heir backs. They were unmistakably Dewberry and Bumblewind's. I gasped. The landwalkers had tamed my friends! The landwalkers dismounted and slipped a rope on River Herd's necks. We all fought the landwalkers until Hazelwind trumpeted an over-stallions call. He was no longer Hazelwind of River Herd, he was Hazelwing of Storm Herd. My foals both got up. I breathed a sigh of relief. They were safe. I turned around to a very big surprise. There, lying on her side, was Echofrost The landwalker was showing his teeth in a friendly way. Hazelwing seemed anxious. Echofrost was still pregnant! A colt popped out. But Echofrost stayed down. Then she became very still. Me and Hazelwing locked eyes, then we both cried out. "Noooo!" Echofrost was dead.
