Why does Star have only one part in his name? Nightwing's original name was Nightflame, and so is the rest... but why doesn't Star?

That's a really interesting thought! Cause all other pegasi have two parted to their name...
Very interesting....
Yeah, I guess it's gonna have to be that way. x shrugs her wings x I think it's because... if Silverlake named him, or Lightfeather.... because they BELIEVED that he would deliver them from Nightwing's wing and into unison, that Star would use his power from the 400 yr old star... for good. So I guess it's to make him stand out more than he already does, as a special savior for all of Anok.
Lightfeather named him. He was not a normal colt and he would free the all like a star out shining the night (Wing)
My weird little mind had always imagined Lightfeather naming Star as she died, you know like when Luke and Leah from Star War’s we’re born. I personally think that there was more to Star’s name, but Lightfeather died before she could say more then “Star” and that’s what everyone believed his full name to be.
My theory on this is the reason for Star not having a traditional herd name, is to greater emphasize the fact he is not a natural pegasus
Heyo! I actually asked Mrs. Alvarez this question a year or so ago and this was her answer: “His mother knew that he was special and that the herds of Anok wouldn't accept him--so she did not give him a pegasus name. She named him after his true sire, the Hundred Year Star”.
CATS!!!! IT"S BEEN SO LONG!!!!!!! XD XD XD
