I'm a sucker for rare horse colors XD the genetics behind them are SO INTERESTING!!!!! The fact that there are so many different genes that makes all of the different colors is incredible. One of my favorite genes is the roan gene, and I love searching up the roan gene on top of other genes like dun or cream. THEY LOOK SO COOL!!!!!!! seriously, look up "palomino roan horse" THEY ARE SO PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this horse is a smoky blue roan, a black horse with one allele (I think. "allele" is one set of a gene I think) of the cream gene, and then the roan gene on top of that. ISN'T IT SO PRETTY?!?!?

here's a funny story: during class today I was looking up articles about horse coat color genetics, and I just happened to click on one that was from the college that's in my town XD

But yeah! Who wants to freak out over horse coat colors?
