Flash opened his eyes as he felt the train stop. He could hear voices from outside, and pegasi nickering. Flash closed his eyes and dozed, but sadness crept through him. He missed Jack. And his home. The stallion sighed and lowered his
wings, letting them drag. Flash perked his ears when a door opened to his cart. Tom, one of the men, walked up to Flash and put a soft halter on him. Tom stroke the stallions face. "You will like it here King, I promise." Flash snorted when he heard the name "King." That wasnt even close to his name. The man lead the stallion out of the cart, and Flash gasped at what he saw. There was a huge stable, and it looked grand. Stallions, mares, and foals were in stables, and they looked glossy. Flash perked his ears. The place didnt seem that bad. He realized that they were high in the mountains, and it was cool. Dave, the other man, walked up to Flash, holding a blanket. He draped it over Flash's body, and instantly he felt relaxed and comfortable. Tom led him into the grand stable, then led him into a huge stall. It was filled with soft straw, a tub of water, and a feeder filled with alfalfa and apples. Flash nickered and trotted inside. The place was amazing! Tom smiled. "I think he likes it." Dave nodded. "Good. We will give him two days to rest, then we will put him with Silver." Tom nodded. "Sounds good. Will I be taking care of him?" Dave nodded. "Make sure you treat him well. Groom his coat, clean his feathers, feed and water him. And in no time, we will have ourselves a mighty good herd of pegasi." Tom smiled. "I think we will.."
-A day later-
Flash layed in the straw, and dreamed about being with Jack. Although Flash could easily break free and fly home, he had no clue where to go. Home was miles away. It didnt help any that they were in the mountains. The worst part though was that Flash was brought here to breed mares. He didnt want that. He wanted Winter, Jack, and Anna. But Flash missed racing too. Its what he was born to do. To be a champion. Not a sire to many foals. Besides, the humans didn know how pegasi worked. You cant put two together and expect them to become mates, the stallion would ask the mare to be his mate, and if she said yes they were then mates. If not, well then guess not.
Flash looked at the mare across from him. He found out that this mare was Silver. She nickered to him, but Flash just snorted. The mare was beautiful, he had to admit, but she was also mysterious. Every time Flash looked at her, she would nicker, and prance around the stall. Flash would watch, but snort in return. He even noticed she had sparkly eyes. Beautiful, mysterious, and definetly noticeable. All the stallions in the grand stables except Flash couldnt stop staring at her. Silver wouldnt even look at them, just Flash. He was tempted to ask why, but decided not too.
Suddenly Dave entered the stables and smiled. "Hey Tom? I think we should put King and Silver together today. I think they are ready." Tom walked in, holding a bucket of apples. "I think so too." Dave smiled. "I say we shall start now."
