Ahaha and heres me. Not everyone celebrates this but uh its special to American history... I guess.
*Puts on glasses*
Hmm, The Pilgrims were people who wanted religious freedom (I think! don't believe me! ;) O: )
They were Puritans I am pretty sure.
The Pilgrims and a tribe of Native Americans (in which I totally forgot the name!) faced a common enemy- another tribe of Native Americans!(Makes total sense, right?) and they (I believe) beat them to put it shortly. To celebrate that, Thanksgiving is born! (:
-SkippyPeanutButter (haha)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!!
Are you homeschooled, lightningblaze? Why would your mom want you to be doing "educational" things on Thanksgiving break?
Not me. My moms squeezing extra "educational" things in for me.
IT'S CALLED THANKSGIVING BREAK FOR A REASON
I love Thanksgiving, except for the fact all my activities have been canceled this week 😞🍗😃
YES THANKSGIVING! THIS HOLIDAY IS AWESOME! ITS PRACTICALLY BUMBLEWIND SUMMED UP IN A DAY (with all the eating and such!)
YUP!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!! :D (the randomness of me)
The tribe that helped the Pilgrims was called the Wamapanoag tribe. You are correct about the Pilgrims being Puritan separatists, but the one thing you are incorrect about is fighting off another tribe of Native Americans (or Indians, as they called them). The fact about the first Thanksgiving was just that it was harvest time of the first full year that the Pilgrims were there, 1621. The Wamapanoag people and the Pilgrims had established a good relationship and partnership and they were feasting in good fellowship.
Strange fact about the First Thanksgiving? They actually did not eat turkey.
