Honeyfall: "Hi everyone and welcome to the Thanksgiving challenge!!"
*long silent pause*
Random Crowd pegasus: "Uh... what's Thanksgiving?"
Honeyfall: "I have no clue, but it's a holiday that was marked on Dragon's calendar."
Dragon: "Seriously Honeyfall?"
Honeyfall: "What?"
Dragon: "You told me that you knew what Thanksgiving was."
Honeyfall: "I don't remember saying that."
Snowfrost: "You did, I have a recording of it." *plays recording*
Honeyfall: "Okay fine I just wanted to announce the challenge."
Dragon: "Well you did, and now we're arguing on air. Snowfrost take over."
*Honeyfall is escorted off stage*
Snowfrost: "Okay so I know most of you guys live in the US, but there are a few of you who don't so here's a brief summary of what Thanksgiving is and why Americans celebrate it: Thanksgiving is the celebration for, well, giving thanks. The original Thanksgiving was celebrated by English Pilgrims who lived in Plymouth Massachusetts in 1621. They were celebrating that fact that they had a good crop of food, and that they had made friends with the local Native Americans. Today Thanksgiving is celebrated by gathering together with friends and family and eating turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, and a ton of other things."
Dragon: "Uh, thank you Snowfrost, now can you explain the challenge?"
Snowfrost: "Okay, this challenge is to draw a picture of a random TGH character (Dragon's got a beg full of names), and you guys will draw your assigned character dressed up with something Thanksgiving like. Here's an example Dragon found on google:"

Snowfrost: "Okay and here are the rules for the contest:"
1. No complaining about the character you are assigned
2. No switching characters
3. Please do not use any existing drawings
4. I know we all love doll divine, but no using any of their creators
5. You don't have to have a background
6. You can look at horse pictures, and watch drawing tutorials, but no tracing
7. All entries -no exceptions- must be posted by 8:00pm (AK time) on 11/22/2017,voting will be the following day.
Note: I live in Alaska, so I apologize if you have to wait a wile for a response, if I had my way we would all live in the same time zone
Yes, time zone issues. Can I join, but how would we do the wings?
I don not know, you'll have to figure it out
Snowfrost: "Honeyfall has been banned form this challenge, but she should be back before next one, anyways Flamefrost, you get... Twistwing!! This is a good one because I think we can speak for all of us when I say Twistwing isn't exactly everyones favorite character, so feel free to make him look as funny."
Me: cool! Thanks!
Flamefrost: but why was honeyfall banished?
Me: don't interrupt!
Flamefrost: but I want to know!
I actually do want to know why Honeyfall was banished
Because she lied about knowing what Thanksgiving was, and wanted Snowfrost to host at least one drawing challenge for some reason
oh okay lol
I'll get to drawing Twistwing
Time zones are why I like military time, because you can just subtract or add the number of hours without a.m./p.m. issues. That was random, but I'm just putting it out there
Except if your doing something in Zulu time (not in the time zone you'd think)
what's zulu time?
It the time people in the military use to make it the same time everywhere... I think
it's actually like 11 there right?
In AK?
I looked up "zulu time" and clicked on the link, this is one of the paragraphs:
"Zulu" time, more commonly know as "GMT" (Greenwich Mean Time) is time at the Zero Meridian. Our natural concept of time is linked to the rotation of the earth and we define the length of the day as the 24 hours it takes (on average) the earth to spin once on its axis.
yes I meant in Alaska
It's 10:55am right now
Yeah, I learned about Zulu time when someone who was teaching a class on who to find stuff on a map got sidetracked
lol
fyi its 3 pm here in maine
I’ll join!!
Snowfrost: "Cass, lets see if we can get you someone other then Rockwing. You get... my uncle, Frostfire!"
