"Tuck your legs." Nickered Lightray. Rainfeather listened and flew a perfect circle. "Thats it Rainfeather! Your doing great!" Rainfeather was embarrassed with all of Lightray's compliments, but he did help, she wouldn't be flying if he hadn't helped her. Rainfeather was a yearling now. She should be going of to flight school. But the strict flight instructor Clawtail insisted she join. A 'Desert herd pegasus that couldn't fly' he'd said. But now she could lift off the ground, and the thrill of flight tingled in her belly. Rainfeather was a yearling. Today was her first birthday. After a few more loops in the sky she landed out of breath. "How... was that?" She panted. Lightray tucked his wings. "That was great." His expression soon turned amused. "You know you couldn't have done this without my training." Rainfeather brushed his forlock out of his eyes. "Is that so?" Lightray fluffed one of her feathers. "Mhm!" He said with a mouthful of feathers.
