(Main 6: Star, Morningleaf, Echofrost, Bumblewind, Dewberry, Brackentail)
I think this song fits really well, but I'm only going to do the first verse and chorus (I think thats what they are anyway XD) heres the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPxzTX_0OhU
"Don't look back, we're here to stay", this line represents the main 6 looking back at their foalhood and reflecting upon it. Like in Landfall it says "Star now understood why Bumblewind ate so much as a foal; his body was preparing him to grow into his new stallion body" (not with that exact wording though). Also in the start of Landfall, a day after the Weanling Army distracted Nightwing so Star's friends could escape with his body, Morningleaf had a dream that she and her friends were foals again and she dreamed about playing with Star. Ther "here to stay" bit is explaining how they can never go back in time to do things differently or be a foal again. "A life we knew would come one day", this explains a lot. In Starfire, all the foals are anxious for their weaning, so you can already see how that relates to this line. It also means how when Nightwing arose, everyone had been afraid of him doing do for four hubdred years, and Star knows he must defeat Nightwing. "This is it, the borderline", when Star heals his friends and Hazelwind announces to everyone what had happened, they all knew Nightwing would come soon, so that was kinda like the borderline splitting their training and getting ready for battle. "Where the future leaves us behind", in the end of Windborn, where everything turns out better okay, Brackentail quotes "the future is ours to create", so that points out that now that their missions are all complete and there are no more wars, they don't need to train or do anything anymore, so they await for what the future holds. "The fire will burn, and never die", also from Landfall, when the Black Army & Ice Warriors attack, and when Nightwing kidnaps the United Army, the United Army fights against both of Nightwing's attackers and are determined to beat then, which shows that the fire that burns in their hearts will never be extinguished; will never die. It's the same when Star fights for his Herd's freedom when Nightwing kidnaps them. "Look into the iris of a brand new life", I don't really think this one needs explaining, but for me this means when the war against Nightwing ends, everyone has a brand new life of living together, growing up together, not having any wars and being free. And since they've just started this brand new life, I guess you could say they're looking it in the iris, or eye. "So just find me, just find me", this could either be mental or physical, you can choose, for me it means now that the war's over, the main 6 can focus on their feelings instead of keeping Star safe. I guess its a heart talking to another heart (ik that seems ridiculous but I'm about to explain). For example, Morningleaf's heart telling her that she loves Star and/or Brackentail (THAT BETTER NOT HAPPEN ALVAREZ) and that she should go seek whether or not he loves her back. "Sparks will fly", again this means that if Star does love Moringleaf back, poof why would I need to explain the rest. "If we scream 'No! This is not how we're gonna go! We are the ones who will never let go!'", this is when in Landfall, Star's friends eat the red berries and get really sick, to the point if even death. This verse is half Star's friends and half Star. His friends are the ones screaming at themselves "No! This is not how we're gonna go!" And Star's the one screaming (to his Starfire, unless you don't want it that way but to me it makes more sense since the lyrics are plural) "We are the ones who will never let go!" He won't let go of his friends, since all he did when he found out they will most likely die was draw on his gold fire and repeat "I won't let them die" and ignore every steed who tried to stop him. "So watch ya swirl to where no one knows", I guess this is talking about Bumblewind when Dewberry and the rest learned of his death. Dewberry couldn't get over it, so I'm guessing she thought about him and where he was right now, what he was doing and/or thinking about, and hating not being able to know by just glancing next to her to see him flicking his ears, dreaming. "We'll never grow, we'll never grow", this means that though they are already physical adults, they're young spirit will never cease and inside they'll always be the same yearling friends they used to be.
