He walked over to Felix, and watched him as he mucked.

Felix,

He went into the stall next to the one Tuli was in and started mucking.

Tuli:

She hugged Makoa one more time before she got back to work. (I gtg)

Felix,

"Alright, Choose a stall to start mucking and I'll work on the one next to it,"

Tuli:

She giggled at Makoa. "Then we better get to work." She said

Felix,

He nodded, "Yup!" he replied.

Makoa,

He nickered to Tuli, and gently nuzzled the side of her face.

Tuli:

She froze. "We get a lunch break?" She asked in shock. She unfroze and started petting him again. "Good boy Makoa." She whispered

Makoa,

He gently rested his head on her shoulder.

Felix,

"Well, Makoa seems to like you," he thought for a bit, "Do you want to go on a trail ride during your lunch break?" he asked

Tuli:

She hugged the horse. "ets be friends boy."

Makoa,

He nickered to Tuli.

Tuli:

She moved closer and pressed her forehead to Makoa. "You're just like me boy." She whispered to the horse

Felix,

He thought for a second, "He's fifteen," he replied.

Tuli:

"how old is he?" She asked

Makoa,

He nickered softly.

Tuli:

"Hi buddy." She said reaching up to pet him

Makoa,

Seeing a new person, he trotted over and nuzzled into the hand,.

Tuli:

She nodded and walked over to the horses. She reached out her hand to the first horse. "Hi." She whispered gently

Felix,

"Sure, Just be a bit extra careful around Niall, he can be a bit wary around strangers sometimes.:"

Tuli:

"Cool! Can I pet them?" She asked.

Felix,

"That one is Niall," pointing to a small chestnut horse, "that one is Kokomo," he said pointing to a black white paint, "And that one is Makoa," he said pointing to another black and white paint,.

Tuli:

"What are the horses named?" She asked

Tulain:

She silently followed Tuli and Felix through the woodlands. She was watching them for a reson but thinking about it was hard for her because she did not want to live like this for ever

Felix,

"Alright," he replied, going into a jog to join her.

Tuli:

She shrugged but couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. "Lets hurry to do the chores." She said starting to jog toward the barn

Felix,

he looked over to Tuli, "Tuli, it's alright to slip up sometimes, its just a simple mistake that happens from time to time."

Tuli:

"I just cant shake the feeling that someone is watching me and every move I make waiting for me to slip up."

Felix,

"Tuli, I know my mom, she won't fire you for making mistakes,"

Tuli:

"I'm different. I'm lower than a servant.'

Felix,

"Tuli, everyone makes mistakes! it's what makes us human!" he laughed softly, "I remember when one of the servants forgot to close the gate to one of the cow pens, the cow escaped, but she didn't get in trouble for that! It was just a mistake!"

Tuli:

"But I can get in trouble for my mistakes. And What ever happens to me if I make any debts Ashla will have to work too. I cant let that happen!"

Felix,

He looked over to her, "Tuli, everybody makes mistakes, and, I don''t want you to ever, ever go back to Mrs. Ringwall," he said.

Tuli:

"It's just that your the son of my boss and I don't want to get in trouble and maybe if I do something wrong you'll tell your mom and I'll get sent back to Mrs. Ringwall's house to work."

Felix,

"Is it something that I said?" he asked softly, "I'm sorry if I hurt your feeling or anything," he said running a hand through is blond hair, "Its just that, I've had like no friends at all, so I don't really know how to act sometimes,"

Tuli;

She flinched away from him refusing to look at him

Felix,

He easily caught up to her, and continued walking beside her,

Tuli:

She stiffened and sped up.

Felix,

"Soooooo, you want to see me more often," he teased

Tuli:

She blushed and brushed some hair out of her face. "Not that you care to see me more often."

Felix,

"Sure," he replied, smiling, "It even means I get to see you more often!" he said brightly.

Tuli:

"Ok. After I pay off my debt can I still work for your mother for a normal rate but I want to buy a mount soon." She said

Felix,

"No! Stars no! You won't get into any trouble!" he replied

Tuli:

"You mean I won't get in trouble or get fired for sleeping in the barn?" She asked

Felix,

"Tuli, I understand, but, if you ever need it, you can stay at my barn, any, and I mean any time you need to," he replied

Tuli:

"No I can't I'm sorry but I still can't sleep in my house.... I only slept in the barn because it was so cold. And if I knew it was your barn I wouldn't have stayed without asking!" She said fearfully

Felix,

"Tuli, I know you can do anything you put your mind to," he replied.

Ruli:

"It might be miss placed belief."

Felix,

"I believe in you," he replied.

Tuli:

She closed ehr eyes and opened then quickly. "Ok I can do this."

Felix,

He shook his head, "Most of that is outside, very little going inside,"

Tuli:

"Ok but do I have to be inside much?"

Felix,

"Well, finish mucking the three horse stalls, that should go bye pretty fast, getting the eggs from the chickens and feeding them, same with feeding the cows, checking all the waters a bit past noon, and we'll go from there," he said.

Tuli:

"What all are we going to do today for work?" She asked

Felix,

He smiled, "Of course," he replied.

Tuli:

"Thanks!" She pulled the apple out of her pocket and finished it. "Pretty good."

Felix,

"Alright," he replied, and continued walking beside her.,

Tuli:

"Lets get to work first then we can get food for Ashla!" She said happily. She removed her arms from around him and started walking again.

"Of course," he replied.

Tuli:

"Can we get some apples for Ashla" She asked him

Felix,

"Of course," he replied softly.

Tuli:

"For caring about me."

Felix,

"For what?" He asked softly.

Tuli:

She flinched when he touched her bandaged back. "Thank you Felix." She whispered

Félix,

He smiled softly, and hugged her back.

Tuli:

She stopped walking and turned to face him. She threw her arms around him and hugged him

Félix,

"Like I said before, we have tons and I mean TONS of apple trees, and other types of fruit trees, you can take food from there," he said softly.

"Most of the fruits we give to orphanages for free, but even after that we still have plenty of fruit to spare."

Tuli:

"I...." She struggled to keep talking to him. "It feels like I would be taking food from my sister....."

Felix,

"Don't starve yourself, I'm always here to help." He said, "I just, c-couldn't imagine this world without your unique personality,"

Tuli:

"What..?" She asked him

Felix

He thought for a moment, "Tuli, are you able to promise me, one thing," he asked softly.

Tuli:

She stuffed the apple back in her pocket. "I cant, I'm sorry, I tried." She said

Felix,

He smiled softly over at Tuli, "if you ever need more food for you or your sister, we have PLENTY of apple trees to pick apples from." He said.

Tuli:

She flinched. "Well all that's true." She took the apple out of her pocket and took a small bite. She felt like she was stealing food from her little sister who needed it so much more.

Felix,

"Not a whole lot, since I've only known you for about a day.

But what I do know, is that you've had a rough life, hate going indoors, a very skilled knife thrower.

And you would do anything for your sister." He said.

Tuli:

"What do you really know about me?" She asked

Felix,

"Tuli. You need to eat." He said softly, "and please stop saying that you're fine, I can tell that you're not fine,"

Tuli:

"I ate dinner last night. I'm fine."

Felix,

"Tuli, you skipped breakfast, you must be hungry," he paused for a bit.

"Or, you haven't eaten in this long, so you don't feel hungry."

Tuli:

She glared at him. "Not hungry."

Felix

"I saw that Tuli, you need to eat,"

Tuli:

She took it from him and slipped it into her pocket meaning to give it to Ashla when she went home that evening

Félix,

"Tuli wait up," he said quickly picking an apple from the tree, and catching up to her.

"Here's an apple," he said holding it out to her as they walked.

Tuli:

"I have to go." She said pushing off the tree and started to walk back toward the barn

Félix,

"Tuli," he said gently, "do you know how many times I wished I wasn't rich, so a lot people wouldn't assume things of me.

Or get those fake friends who only wanted to be my friend because of my wealth?"

Tuli:

She looked away not meeting his eyes. "No you don't because when you are rich its hard to remember there are mortals down here who have it worse off than you."

Félix,

"Tuli, I genuinely, care about you, and worry about you," he said softly.

Tuli:

"Or worse you are only being kind because of sympathy." she said stand up

Félix,

"Tuli," he said softly, "I would never, never, forget about you," he kept his gaze on her, his bright green eyes soft with kindness.

Tuli:

"After I pay off my debt your going to forget about me and you are the only person who has ever been kind to me!" She said her voice soft

Felix,

"Please tell me," he said softly.
