Zegor:
The previous night, he informed the King of everything that was discussed during the meeting. The King nodded and told him to keep informing him after every meeting. Zegor opened his mouth and called upon his flame and let it flicker out of his mouth. It wasn't a large flame ,but it was long and bright. That was the signature salute for the Firebreaths. (Like how you salute to your country's flag.) It's a show of respect and understanding and even newborns are taught how and why to do it. After he extinguished the fire, he padded off and fell quickly asleep.
~~
The next morning, he awoke an hour after dawn. He rose to his feet and stretched his wings. He had some breakfast of meat from the night before, then opening his large wings, taking off toward the meeting site.
( I swear of Noctis and Luna weren't siblings, I would be shipping them SO HARRDDD rn XDD )
Amberina:
She yawned and looked at her mother. "Morning mother," she said groggily. At least she could act. Her mother spread her wings and yawned. "Morning sweet heart. Remember, I have a private meeting with the council today at noon. Where will you be," she prodded. They had rehearsed this over and over again. Amberina was starting to get bored. Her mother was too protective of her daughter. Although she wasn't the only heir, so, that somewhat makes sense. "I'll be playing in the woods outside of the Sandbreath kingd-,"
"Your kingdom," the queen corrected.
"Right," said Amberina. "I'll be playing in the woods outside my kingdom," she said in a bored tone. Her mother nodded and walked out their door and headed towards the dining room, ready to eat. Amberina followed quickly after her.
Firea nodded her snowlike head and yawns. She throws a glittering ball of snow in her right wing and scampers away laughing.
Luna: "Well, I have to go, 'cause I have a meeting with Amberina, so bye!"
Noctis: "When did you arrange this 'meeting'?"
Luna: "Um, well, it was when..." she stuttered. "Would you look at the time? I'm late!" She rushed to leave. "I'll talk to you later, I promise!"
Noctis: "I'm looking forward to it!" What has she gotten herself into this time?
(Lucky, you get snow!!!!) Zella: Are you ready?
(oof i managed to confuzzle myself) Firea looked up at Zella and waved her pale bluish purple green wing. The snow glittered in the harsh sunlight. It was a winter wonderland.
(Moving on...) Zella: When she ate breakfast with Noctis and Luna the next morning, both wouldn't look at each other. Which was totally weird, since Noctis and Luna hadn't had a fight for years, not since the jam incident. Zella shuddered just at the thought. She ate a light breakfast, and left to go meet with Firea.
( I'm still cunfuzzled...... )
(i think)
(she meant it was night when she flew back or early morning and next morning as in next morning lol)
( Okay..... )
(I'll just edit the post so it makes more sense. Sound good now?)
( Huh? )
(It was still night when she returned, so when they woke up.)
( Next morning? )
Luna: Noctis was waiting for her when she returned. He didn't say anything, just looked... disappointed. It broke her heart to see her brother so downcast. She vowed that she would explain everything when she gathered more information.
Featherlily:
She sighed and trotted back to the oak tree. She laid down and fell asleep almost instantly, dreaming of the dragons and she continued to sleep until mid-morning.
Amberina:
The sun was rising too fast and Amberina could only flap so fast. She was already at the border of Firebreath territory in a matter of 15 minutes, and would seen be at the castle in another 15 minutes. But it was almost dawn. She flapped harder until she could feel her wings start to give out. She could just make out the castle on the horizon, and guards standing at the entrance. Luckily she always used the window. She felt her control start to slip away, out of her reach as she flapped slower and slower, beads of sweat on her skin under the hot scales. She could radiate heat in the cold, but it always felt the same in the desert.
She was almost there.
Amberina could feel her power slip away with every inch, until she landed on the windowsill, breathing heavily. That had been too much of the little dragonet and had left her feeling weak. She took a deep breath and saw her mother was starting to wake up. She perched on the window sill, looking like she had just woken up she was so tired. She yawned when her mother's eyes popped open and pretended to have just woken up, crawled out of bed, and wanted to see the sun rise.
(Sounds good. (= I can't believe we are already on page 10!) Luna: She watched the Sandbreath princess leave, wondering why the she-dragon was so afraid of her mother finding out. She had only agreed to not say anything because she saw the hidden fear in Amberina's eyes, not because she was scared of fighting her. Luna knew that Amberina could probably fight very well, but the Sandbreath princess had no idea what Luna was capable of. In fact, Luna only knew some of what she could do, and was a little scared of what Noctis could do. And secretly, Luna hoped that, even if they had gotten off on the wrong wing, Amberina and her could become great friends.
( Once we get to page 11 I'll create part 2 :) )
Amberina:
She growled and hopped over Luna. For such a weird dragonet, she had the skills to fight and dodge. She crouched at Luna in a battle position. "You must swear never to tell my mother of ANY of this," she hissed. When Luna agreed Amberina lowered her head in goo bye and jumped into the air, spreading her giant wings wide. She dodged all the branches on the lower part of the trap and half closed her wings so she could fit. Without he big wings, she would be able to fit, but with them, she had to close them halfway to fit through the tight spaces. She came out at Black Lake yet again in Firebreath territory, and took a quick drink before she would continue on her way home, alone and tired.
Featherlily:
She waved wing her wing goodbye as they disappeared into the shadows. She still had many questions and she hoped to see the dragons again for some answers. She realised that the dragon's footprints were in the ground. She quickly brushed them away, leaving no trace of the dragon intruders.
Luna: "We understand. It was great to meet you! Thank you for warning us," She bowed her head again and gently "pushed" (Amberina would say "shoved") the fellow dragon deeper into the woods. She hoped she would meet Featherlily again, maybe that time without an angry Amberina.
Featherlily:
She stood up straighter, relaxing and becoming convinced that these dragons weren't going to hurt her. "Greetings Luna, Amberina. It's so cool to finally meet a dragon, and one that's nice! But...I wouldn't stay here if I were you. Pinewing doesn't take kindly to intruders, much less dragons. I won't tell him, but he usually wakes up around this time and if he finds you here....." she trailed off and shivered. "Frostcloud would also not be happy. If either one of them or their scouts found you talking to me..." she trailed off again.
Amberina:
She pinned her scaley ears at Luna and hissed. "I told you to leave," she said to the bigger dragon. Her tongue flicked in and out of her mouth. She glanced east towards the horizon. The sun would be coming up soon, and her mother always woke up at dawn. She had to make this quick. She looked back to the pegasus and nodded shortly. "As I said, my name is Amberina," she hissed, still angry at Luna. She didn't want this dragon telling her mother she had been out alone in Firebreath and pegasus territory. She would never be able to come to another meeting again. Or see Zegor.
Luna watched the dragon and pegasus, Featherlily in fascination. This pegasus could understand dragons! She hated that Amberina had yelled at her, but she didn't obey when Amberina ordered her to leave.
She stepped out behind the other she-dragon and bowed her head in greeting, "I'm Luna."
Featherlily:
She met eye contact with the dragon and she sucked in her breath. She clamped her wings to her sides. "Y-Your talk-king t-to me-e?" she stammered, having a loss of breath. Then, it snapped. A dragon was talking to her. A dragon that could easily kill her. "Are-are you going to hurt me?" she whispered, crouching, but in her brain she had thousands of questions for this dragon. From the knowledge she gathered from Flamevalley and other elders, she hypothesized that the dragon was a young Sandbreath. She swallowed and also figured that if the dragon was going to hurt her, she would've done it by now, "I'm-I'm Featherlily." she whispered, her eyes looking the dragon up and down-from her talons to her horns.
Amberina:
The small dragonet froze when she saw the strange pegasus moving towards her, stiff as a log. She took on big step out of the forest and revealed her big, over-sized wing and too grownupish of a snout, and shimmering scales. She was only bigger than the pegasus by her wing span, which was at least 3 and a half bigger than the pegasi's. A normal dragonet her age would have 2 tiems bigger, bu she had 3 1/2. She had pleading eyes and folded her wings. "Please don't be scared. My name is Amberina," she spoke softly, but a trace of nervousness came from the small and weak voice that did not match the strange dragonet.
Featherlily:
She jumped when a hushed voice she didn't recognize came from the woods. She stood up and warily walked toward the woods. "H-Hello-o? I-Is s-someone-one t-there?" she stammered, scared, but trying not to show it. She stiffened, her ears flicking in every direction and her wings tense, ready to fly or fight at the smallest movement as she crept forward.
Amberina:
She cocked her head when she heard a snack of a twig in the woods behind her. She turned her head to see a big figure in the shadows, not very well hidden. She glared. "Luna! What are you doing here?!" she hissed. Her tongue flicked in and out in anger. "Go away!" she barked before Luna could even answer. She turned back towards the pegasus and leaned out again, wanting to get a closer look.
( YEAH! THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!!! :D )
Luna watched Amberina in horror. She had followed the Sandbreath princess when she saw her leave, since she was near their lands, due to a night flight. Luna was pretty sure the pegasus had seen Amberina, but she sure hoped not. Not that she wanted to, but she would go out of hiding to help Amberina, if the pegasus caused any trouble.
Featherlily:
She glanced into the trees and she thought she saw something. It looked like nothing she's ever seen before, but it was pitch black, so she couldn't be sure of what it was.
(Hey, should Amberina and Featherlily meet? They are both so curious about each other, so I thought that would be a good idea, but if you don't want to do it, we don't have to.)
Amberina:
She watched closely and counted off the information she had gathered from just watching the pegasus. Then she took one mistake of a step forward, and her scaly snout poked out from the tree layer. She didn't expect any danger to befall her, but anything could happen when someone was shocked to see someone of something else. When she realized her mistake a minute after, she quickly stepped back into the shadows of the trees.
Featherlily:
She dropped her gaze from the stars and peered into the woods. A tingle ran up her spine and she felt a slinking-sinking feeling like someone was watching her. She shivered a little, then continued to watch the stars, trying to take her mind off the weird feeling, but every now and then, she would glance back into the trees.
Flamevalley:
He waved goodnight to Featherlily, too tired to speak. His mouth was dry from telling all the legends, and his eyes sagged, so he just plopped down and fell asleep almost instantly.
Amberina:
The little dragonet with over-sized wings finally started to head towards the Interior of Anok, out of the Firebreath territory. She hadn't seen any Firebreaths, so that was a good sign that no one had seen the princess of the Sandbreath's sneaking into the interior. She crossed into the trap and turned east, forced to walk or run through the thick forest. She soon came to a break in the trees and gasped. It always took her breath away to see all the pegasi in one area, never glaring at one another or fighting over something. They were all peaceful and asleep accept for one filly lying under an Oak tree. She stared at the creature. It was around her size, so very small to the dragon kind. Amberina hoped she would get bigger than that, but she was already pretty small for an almost middle aged dragonet.
Featherlily:
Right after the dragon meeting ended, Featherlily yawned and realized the sun was dipping below the horizon. "I better get some sleep. Goodnight Echospice. Goodnight, Flamevalley." she said, blushing slightly as she said his name. Sh turned and cantered toward the place she usually sleeps-under a large oak tree, toward the center of the territory. She had no parents, so she slept alone. But, she didn't fall asleep just yet, she stayed awake and watched the stars, thinking about the dragon knowledge that Flamevalley just told her about. "I wonder if I'll ever see a dragon." she thought, thinking about the legends.
Amberina:
She drank a few more fragile and small sips from Black Lakebefore stretching her wings, ready to take off towards the interior of Anok. She was lucky no one in the Sand Kingdom had seen her leave, and hopefully no one else had seen her leave either. She didn't want to get caught out her all alone in the Firebreath kingom without her mother. She ould try to hide, but that wouldn't turn out so well with her over-sized wings. She scowled at them when this thought came to her mind.
Luna watched her brother and best friend talk. She wondered what would happen if she told them that she had met a pegasus. Hypothesis: Noctis would explode and demand all the details, and Zella would be just as over-protective. Luna doubted that Zella would remembered that she was older than her. The pegasus was frighten at first, but so was Luna. It looked like a horse with wings. That aroused Luna's curiosity, and she could help but try to communicate with it. The horse with wings hadn't understood a word, but Luna could understand it. Maybe if she found a pegasus that understood her, they could avoid a war. A war the pegasi will probably start.
( XDDD. NOCTIS MUST BE INTRODUCED TO THE SHIPPING CULTURE O^O )
Zella watched the unusual young princess and Firebreath warrior leave. Zella sighed: Aw, young love.
Noctis: Yeah. Wait, what?
Zella pointed her wing in the direction of where they left: Amberina and Zegor.
Noctis stared at the Seabreath princess: Um, Amberina totally likes Zegor, but he does not like her. I'm positive.
Zella rolled her eyes: He hides it pretty well, but he is a case 3.
Noctis raised a scaly eyebrow: A case 3?
Zella nodded: He acts like he doesn't like her, to hide that he does. Duh.
Amberina:
The little dragonet woke up long before her mother, unable to rest. She was beside her mother, who was still sleeping. Even in her sleep, her mother's beauty did not falter. Amberina was a disgrace to that beauty, but she didn't think of that now. Slowly she crawled out of the nest built by her mother, and made no sound as she made her way towards the window. When she looked out, it was still night time and the sky was still asleep, covered in it's blanket of stars and the sleeping mask that they called the moon. Tonight it was full, and covered up a big portion of the sky. She gazed out and, slowly, perched on the edge of the window. She spread her over sized wings but accidentally bumped them against the wall. Before she knew it, she was falling from the window, a ball of scales. She was frantically flailing for her wings, fighting the current when her mother's words came back to her.
"You must not fight the air current, but let it guide you. It will keep you safe and take you where ever you wish to go,"
Amberina closed her eyes and sucked in her breath. She spread her wings like fans and caught the air current. She glided along it, and falpped occasionally when she needed to. She turned towards where her mother and Amberina had come from earlier. After at least 30 minutes of Amberina trying to stay aloft, a sign of rock and grasses and dirt could be seen from below her. She smiled and kept flying, following the Tail River of the pegasi, towards Black Lake and The Trap. She knew her mother would be angrier than ever if she found out if she had escaped during the night every night like this, but her mother would never find out because she would be back before anyone else knew she had gone to see the interesting pegasi in the interior of Anok. She landed 15 minutes later at the shore of Black Lake in Firebreather territory. She sighed and rested her aching wings, and took a drink from the water.
Valora flapped her powerful, cold wings and took to the sky, following the Sandbreath queen and Amberina but turned so she was facing the sea.
Firea followed her mother, glad that was over.
Queen Kawa:
Almost and hour later, the queen landed with a thud in the heart of the desert. It was bustling before, dragons trying to make direct bee lines towards the shops. But when she landed, it all went quiet. The made a way for her to walk and bowed their heads. Amberina trailed behind her, trying to tuck her wings in as best she could. The queen's castle stood infront of them. She leapt into the air, her daughter trailing behind, and in through one of the windows, into her mothers bedroom. It was made out of sand stone, and her nest was made out of soft and smooth rocks, filled with sand. She sat in it, and Amberina climbed in with her. Kawa sighed and looked at her daughter. "Amberina, are there any other thigns you're keeping from me?" she asked in a concerned tone. Amberina didn't look at her mother, but rather at her claws. She was still only a dragonet, not capable of survival on her own. The queen sighed nad snuggled her daughter in close, and didn't say another word.
(gtg. Wanna read some before bed)
(XDDDD)
( AWWWW!!!!!!!! ;D )
Zegor:
He glanced over his shoulder at the Queen and her daughter, following behind. He watched them as they got farther and farther away, until they disappeared over the horizon. He turned his head back forward and continued on. He didn't mind how she looked. In fact, he admired her for her unusual body shape. It made her stand out more; she wasn't like everyone else, and to him, secretly, that was what's most beautiful.
Amberina:
She rolled her eyes at him and scowled. He wasn't going to make getting out of this cave any easier. She huffed and stomped out after her mother, still depressed by everything that had just happened, and she wasn't going to get out of the talk. She stepped off the ledge and nearly feel but caught herself in time to fly after her mother, tipping this way and that. Someone might think she a bat from below, big wings and tiny body, but she was more misshapen then they were lead on to be. Her legs were a little longer than normal, her wings clearly too big, her snout already sharp as an adults, and her eyes big as a large acorns, She hated her appearance. No matter how much she was teased, she never told her mother for fear the others would be hurt in return. She didn't want anyone to be hurt. She wanted herself to change. That was all. She slowly but as graceful as she could, followed after her mother in the direction of the smoldering part of the desert.
Zegor:
He stood up and sighed with relief to finally stretch his wings. As he walked out of he gave, he bowed his head in goodbye to Queen. Then, he looked at the princess and bowed his head to her as well. He unfurled his blood red wings and arched his neck. He winked at Amberina at an angle to where only she could see it. He lifted off, pulled his legs toward his chest, and he sheared toward the outskirts of Mountain herd, flapping his large wings rhythmically.
( ohhhhhhhhh. Good to know..... again XD )Queen Kawa:
She nodded. "I believe we are dismissed," she said. She glared down at her daughter again. There was definitely going to be a mother daughter talk about things. She stood u[ and spread her wings and gestured for the others to leave before her.
Amberina:
She drew imaginary things in the rock floor, but no one could see them. They were detailed pictures of the pegasus she had encountered. She was still very fascinated by it and didn't realize it was time to go until the very last minute. She scrambled to her feet and nearly feel over, her over sized wings weighing her down. She sighed at them and glared at the floor. She could still fly, but was very clumsy and mishapen. She thought her mother disapproved of her at times, but she couldn't be sure. Her mother was always busy.
Val and Fir nodded, "we've got to get back" they said.
Zegor:
He returned the look to Amberina, then looked at each dragon. "So, are we dismissed?" he said, not being able to help himself
(Zegor does have feelings for her, but like NO one knows about it because he makes fun of her, so no one expects it, plus he's really good at hiding it)
(ok)
( Yes, thearetically since they are fantasy creatures which we know nothing about for sure :) That also follows anything that is not real too :) )
(;-; can dragons blush?)
( So all you missed was them basically talking about how many have died and been born in the last year, and some secret feeling notations from Amberina. Not sure about Zegor yet, but that's basically it :) )
Amberina:
She breathed in deeply, the fire in her throat evaporating. She glanced at Zegor as a thank you for his efforts to calm down and make the air less clouded. She was grateful for that at least.
Queen Kawa:
She thought for a moment. "No, I don't think so....." she answered. "Other than some newly found news that I hadn't known about," she said through gritted teeth, sending her a daughter a disapproving look her way. Amberina blushed and shrugged with a sheepish smile.
( I'll try Dragon, but if there's a loop hole, please forgive me ;-; )
( It's not supposed to...... I didn't say one of them died on each day.... ;-; Or... disappeared..... )
(What? Can some one please give me a summery?)
(yesh i think she meant in ten days 8 died.)
Zegor:
He huffed again, this time softer, and he tried to calm his nerves. "Anything else?" he asked, greeting bored again.
(5 and 3 don't make 10 XD)
Amberina:
She coughed under her breath from the smoke, and felt a little quesy. She looked up at her mother to answer.
Queen Kawa:
She flared her nostrils, feeling more under control. "Or.. at least... we know 5 of them are dead. 3 of them have gone missing..... I don't know what's going on, but I don't think it's worth getting all of you guys involved," she said, gesturing with her sand colored wing to the other dragons in the room.
Zegor:
He gasped, his mouth gaping open revealing his sharp, big teeth. He shook his head, to get his thoughts straight. "10 days!? Why in the world of dragons would you have that many deaths in 10 days?" he said, feeling confused and slightly angry, which caused his flame in his stomach to gurgle. He huffed, and a large cloud of smoke which crackled with sparks, flared from his nostrils.
Queen Kawa:
She swallowed. "uh.... In a matter of.... 10.... days..." she said, When she saw their reactions, she laughed nervously.
Amberina:
The little dragonet looked up at her mother with wide, curious eyes. She had never seen her mother like this before. She wound her tail around her mothers, and leaned against her, attempting to comfort her mother.
Zegor:
His eyes flashed to the Queen. "8 deaths? In what period of time. Months? Weeks?" he asked, flicking his tail
Queeen Kawa:
She didn't say anything, just stared at the floor. "We've......Had no new borns and 8 deaths......" she sighed. For some reason, not many eggs had made it this year. Amberina had been her only royal to make it a few years ago also. Something was wrong in the Sandbreath kingdom.
Amberina:
She bit her lip and looked out the cave. She didn't like talking about those kind of things, because it made her feel weird.
Valora And firea agreed.
Zegor:
He looked away from the dragonet and back to Valora. "The Firebreaths are getting anxious. They are getting restless and want action." he hissed. "But, we have had 2 newborns and 2 deaths." he said, getting bored.
Valora cocked her head, "hmmm," she said chillingly, "the Icebreaths have 3 new newborns and 1 new death since the last council adjourned. A lower amount of crimes too, anyone else?"
Firea flapped her wings, stirring air.
Amberina:
She blushed harder and looked down, not blinking at all, too embarrassed to speak. She swallowed hard, realizing her crush was flirting with her. In her mind, she though, What a show off. She glanced at her shocked mother.
Queen Kawa:
The queen had had no idea her daughter had met one of these pegasus creatures before. She sighed and sent a small glare in her daughters direction, clearing saying, "We'll talk about this later." Kawa looked back to the others and curled her tail around her talons. She had small shells the color of sand hung around her neck and shoulders, and above her eyes glimmered small grains of sand, purposely stuck onto her skin. "Is there anything else we need to cover other than the topic of our small and puny rivals?" the queen said regally.
Zegor:
He smirked, realized that she was blushing. He whipped his tail and tossed his head, showing off his black, sharp horns, flirting with her.
(lol)
( Yeah Dawnfeather XD )
Amberina:
She opened her wings and refolded them, her pink and sand colored scales shifting. "Well... Uh, ya see...... I just met one on the way home...." she mumbled, and caught Zegor looking at her, blushed, and looked down.
(yea and CAP is um CA then Patrol OH! CIVIL AIR PATROL!)
(I'm going to wait for Dragon, if that's okay.)
(oki thats ok.)
(I have no clue...)
( No idea )
(where in the heavens is Dragon?)

( Oh jeez lol. )

(School has done the same to me. =) Now we just have to wait for Dragon to catch up.)
(SSOOORRRYYYYY!!!!!!!! School has been murdering me)
Zegor:
He looked at Amberina. "This small dragonet has met a pegasus? ....Hm! I'm impressed..." he thought
( Yeah )
(ok)
(Okay, we can wait. We should also wait for Riverbreeze.)
( I'm gonna wait for Dragon because she hasn't commented in a while, and if she needs to catch up than she'll be able to catch up :) )
Zella looked between the mother and daughter. Should she say something, or keep quiet? She waited for someone else to speak.
Amberina:
Her face flushed as she remembered the time she encountered a pegasus. It had been a bay paint, although she didn't know that. She slowly raised her wing just above her head and nearly squeaked when her mothers shocked gaze landed upon her. "You've met a pegasus before? When?!" her mother asked angrily. Amberina swallowed and chuckled awkwardly.
Luna: "That would be perfect! Thank you so much! We should probably go back to the meeting now." She was eager to hide behind her twin and not attract any more notice than necessary.
Zella: "Have any of you met a pegasus before?"
Amberina:
The little dragonet watched her mother nod in agreement to Firea's statement.
Valora cocked her head, "hmmmm, that could be true, how about i'll send my spies to see? maybe they can understand the pegasi or hear something that is of value to us."
Firea noticed Zella's question an answered, "Frostcloud, the lead mare a gray-white and Pinewing, the lead-stallion a brownish color."
Quen Kawa:
The queen bowed her head in greeting, and then turned back to her daughter. Her daughter was staring idly out of the cave. Kawa nudged her with the tip of her wing, Amberina jumped, and came back into focus.
