Star looked up in the sky, and saw Brackentail, leading four big stallions. They were heading straight towards Star and Morningleaf. Star sighed and looked at Morningleaf. "Brackentail isnt going to give up." The mare sighed and leaned into Star. "I'll never be his mate." Star nodded and looked up. Brackentail landed in front of Morningleaf. He brushed her wing with his. Morningleaf pinned her ears and moved closer to Star. Suddenly she had an idea. She looked at Star and put her wings around her stomach, pretending to be with foal. Star understood. "Morningleaf is with my foal." He paused, and leaned into Brackentail, his face only inches apart from Bracknetail's. "And you cant have her." Brackentail's eyes widened. Morningleaf was with foal?! He was to late. Brackentail pinned his ears but thought more. Who cares if she is pregnant. Brackentail would still have her. He reared and opened his wings. "Morningleaf is MINE!" He landed and charged Star, who met him head on. They crashed into each other, their hooves slicing each others skin. Star reared and took flight, leading Brackentail away from Morningleaf. The brown stallion followed. Star flew higher, chased by Brackentail. Star stopped flying and was treading the air with his wings. Brackentail flew in front of Star and reared, his front hooves landing on Star's shoulders. Star responded by kicking Brackentail with his hind legs, sending the stallion hurdling through the air. Star was still super strong from building the tribute, and now it was like a repeat of Star's battle with Nightwing, just way less dangerous. Brackentail regained his wings, and flew back towards Star. The two stallions crashed into eachother, sending orange and black feathers floating every where. Star reared, his hoof landed right on Brackentail's head. The stallion whinnied in shock and fell towards land, braying an attack to the four stallions he had brought. Two stallions flew towards Star, who was ready for an attack, while the other two flew towards Brackentail. They caught him in their wings and put him gently on the ground. Morningleaf looked up at Star and saw him fighting the two stallions. Star remined her of her sire, Thundersky, fighting enemy stallions. She shrieked though when she saw the stallion get kicked in his right wing, making him lose his balance. But he quickly regained it and clubbed the two stallions on their jaws at once. They fell towards land, but regained their wings. Instead of coming back for another attack, they fled. Star breathed hard, and looked down. Morningleaf was nickering, and Brackentail was panting and shaking. But he wasnt hurt terribly. A few deep cuts and his head was bleeding, but he would live. Star landed next to Morningleaf and walked up to Brackentail. "Star.. you will never get Morningleaf! This-" "Brackentail!" He perked his ears and looked up. Riversun landed and gasped. "What happened?" Star glared at Brackentail, who glared at Star. Riversun looked at Morningleaf, who nodded. Riversun understood. "Oh Brackentail." She trotted up to him and nuzzled him. "Morningleaf is with someone else. Give her up." Brackentail looked Riversun, then collapsed. Riversun sighed but opened her mouth, breathing golden fire onto Brackentail. Once she was finished, Riversun quickly drowned Star in the starfire. "Thank you," Star said nickering. Riversun nodded and said, "You two can go. I can take care of this." Star nodded and looked at Morningleaf who opened her wings. "Thank you Riversun." The yearling nodded and turned towards Brackentail. "Lets go," Star nickered. He and Morningleaf took off, but looked back. Morningleaf nickered. Brackentail was nuzzling Riversun. "Wow, that filly must have a charm." Star nodded and nudged her. "Lets go home."
