Riversun flew into the sky, thinking. Should she betray her mother and father, and Stormtail? Or should she obey them and stay away from their main enemy? The yearling knew her love for Brackentail would somewhat destroy her life. But she had no choice. She loved the stallion.. a lot. Riversun quickly spotted Star and landed in front of him. She gestured to the stallions guarding him to leave, leaving Star and Riversun alone. Star lowered his head and braced for the silver starfire that he expected to drown him. But instead Riversun nickered. "I have not come to kill you. I actually need your help. Yes, i know you make think I'm crazy and that i'm betraying my parents orders, but.. I.." Star's head shot up and he perked his ears. "What? I thought you would kill me for killing your sire.." Riversun pinned her ears. "Dont speak of your battle with my sire." Star's eyes widened but he nodded. "What do you need my help with?" Riversun sighed. "I.. I love Brackentail.. and I cant be with him if he is with Morningleaf. They are going to be mates tonight." Star looked like he just got kicked. He backed up then reared, spreading out his wings, posed for flight. "Star! Calm down! I have a plan!" The black stallion lowered his wings and snorted. "It better be a good one."

"Almost time..." Brackentail nickered to himself, looking at the sky. The sun was about three quarters in the sky, and Brackentail was getting impatient. He wanted Morningleaf to be his mate so bad, and soon. But occasonially his mind would drift to Riversun's words earlier. "There are other mares out there.. even some yearling filly's.." What did that mean? Nothing important, Brackentail thought. But deep down, he knew it was important.

Morningleaf had a bad feeling in her gut. Something wasnt right. Something bad was going to happen to her that night. She felt it. Was it something with Star, or Brackentail?

Whatever it was, it was bad.
