"Brackentail! What's the point of this!?" Morningleaf cried. Stormtail was holding her right wing, and bit into it, hard. She squealed in pain. "Morningleaf! Let her go!" Star whinnied. Brackentail was holding his wing, and he kicked Star in his stomach. Star breathed hard. The kick didnt feel good, but it didnt hurt him. Star pinned his ears and turned, reared, and his hoof landed onto Brackentail's shoulder, making it bleed. The stallion whinnied and let go of Star. He quickly took flight and started to kick Stormtail on the head. The stallion snorted and started to fight back, letting Moringleaf free. She quickly took flight but Brackentail followed and caught her. She landed on the ground, and Brackentail wrapped his wings around her tightly, holding her still. Morningleaf started to kick him, but she couldnt get away. Star saw this and quickly flew over to her, but Stormtail caught him too. The gigantic stallion bit Star's wing, making him cry out. Star couldnt get away either. Suddenly Clawfire and Shadepebble brayed the call of an attack and started to kick and bite Brackentail and Stormtail. The herd saw what was happening, and joined in. "No!" Star whinnied. "Riversun will kill you! Fly away!" The herd ignored Star and continued to attack Brackentail and Stormtail. Although it was 8,000 pegasi against 2 pegasi, the battle didnt last long. "Stop!" A filly brayed loudly. The attack stopped. The two stallions werent dead, but they were severly injured. Yet they still held on to their captives. "You!" Riversun whinnied, pointing to the herd, who were terrified. "Leave!" They all looked at Star, who nodded and whinnied. "She's giving you all a chance to live! Go!" he whinnied. The herd obeyed, and flew to the ocean. Star was grateful. "Now you lets get you two healed," Riversun nickered to Brackentail and Stormtail. She drew up her starfire and opened her mouth, drowning Brackentail and Stormtail in golden light. So she uses the gold and silver fire... Star thought. The two stallions lifted off the ground, then landed on their hooves. Riversun closed her mouth, making the golden fire vanish. The two stallions were completely healed. They quickly grabbed their captives. "Now.. you." Riversun neighed to Star. "Its time for me to get rid of you!" "No!" Morningleaf cried. Star braced for the fire. Riversun opened her mouth. "NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" Morningleaf whinnied louder. She looked at Brackentail and whinnied, "I will be your mate! You dont have to force me to! I will do it willingly! Just please make Riversun not kill Star!" Riversun perked her ears and closed her mouth. "What?" Morningleaf looked at the yearling. "I will be Brackentail's mate! Just please dont kill Star!" Star looked at Morningleaf and shook his head. Riversun thought about it for a minute. She looked at Brackentail. "Is this what you want?" The stallion nodded. "I'd rather not force Morningleaf to be mine. Grant Star's life, but please keep him guarded and far away from Morningleaf and me when we are back to the herd." Riversun nodded. "Then I'll spare his life. Stormtail and Brackentail, carry Star back to the herd. Ill let Morningleaf fly on her own, but if you try to get away..." Morningleaf gulped but nodded. "Lets go home," Riversun said. All five pegasi lifted off, but Star was being carried. He was already planning on escaping, and how to get Morningleaf back. He would not see Morningleaf and Brackentail become mates. He wouldnt let them become mates. That wasnt going to happen, and Morningleaf was thinking the same thing.
