Summary:
The Elementals continue to meet each other. After causing a big scandal, Darkbreeze has been reunited with her father Silentfire. Riversun waits for their return to Night Herd, eargerly wanting to find reason to attack the other herds. After escaping from Freedom Herd, Rapidrage, Flurryheart, and Lilyvine have been relaxing, washing up after the battle with the bats that nearly left Flurryheart dead. Meanwhile in Freedom Herd, Windstorm and his new friends Specklemist and Wintermoon found an aquifer after being attacked by a shark. Elsewhere, Goldenlight and Riversplash are arguing, Sunwing trying to put in his own point of view. Moonstorm has been teaching the black foal, Dusk, how to strengthen his flying muscles by swimming.

The Arguing Trio:
Sunwing:
He snorted and rolled his eyes.
Riversplash:
"What does being female have to do with this?" She asked again.
The Aquifer Adventurers:
Specklemist:
She shook her head angrily and walked to the edge of the tunnel. She collapsed and dipped her muzzle in the water.
Windstorm:
He limped over to Specklemist. "Are you ok, friend?" he asked as he washed his wound
Wintermoon:
She trotted over, cocking her head at Specklemist. “Is something wrong?”
Dusk & Moonstorm:
Moonstorm:
"Good! Now, get out of the water and see if you can keep your wings on your back." She nickered.
Dusk:
He nodded. His wings felt weird, but good on his back. Dusk began to make his way out of the water. The weight of gravity and the water settled in his wings felt like it was tugging on his wings to come down as he made his way out, but Dusk tried his hardest to keep them on his back. "I did it!" Duck murmured in awe as he looked down at his black feathers resting on his back.
Flurryrage & Lilyvine:
Rapidrage:
He watched her from behind his wing, closing his eyes whenever she looked in his direction and pretended he was sleeping. Why are you acting as if nothing had happened, Flurryheart? Do you just... hate me? I... I... feel... I don't know. Just say something to me. Anything at all. Please.
Flurryheart:
She flexed her wings. Frost flowed out of her wingtips, freezing the ground beneath her. She looked to the sun, worried. Soon it would be winter, and what would that mean for Rapidrage? Would he even be able to survive the cold? He looked so skinny already...
Darkbreeze & Silentfire:
Darkbreeze:
SHe looked at her father. "Should we go home?" She asked him.
Silentfire:
He looked at her. "I don't know. I want to."
Shadowheart & Solarmoon:
Shadowheart,
He shook his mane slightly.
Solarmoon:
She flicked her tail at some flies

New Part, because I don’t want this to die
https://www.theguardianherd.com/messageboard/herd-chat/elementals-rp-part-5
(what'd I misss?)
Riversun:
Being honest, she really didn’t like seeing her daughter this way. “I’ll tell you what.” She said with a glimmer of kindness (not much). ”If I can spare one of them, who should it be?”
Darkbreeze:
She trembled, her eyes wide. She knew her mother could be scary, even ruthless sometimes. But she had never seen her like this before. She squeaked in surprise as her knees gave in, and she collapsed in small heap in front of her mother, trembling.
Riversun:
”It’s too late for that now.” An evil glint was in her eye.
Darkbreeze:
"I- I'm s-sorry," She said, trembling. "I-I just d-didn't want you t-to get m-mad,"
Riversun:
”Because you purposefully lied to me.”
Darkbreeze:
Her knees shook, and she was scared her legs were gonna collapse, they were shaking so hard. "W-why?" SHe whispered, trembling. She didn't really think of the elementals as her friends, but she guessed they were the closest thing to them that she had. She just didn't want anyone to die.
(whats happening?)
Riversun:
”They are going to die.” She repeated.
(Back!)
Dusk:
He woke up from a short nap. His wings were still aching from the practice. Dusk stretched his legs before getting up to get some food. His stomach was rumbling.
(hi!)
(I gtg)
Darkbreeze:
SHe hadn't really thought of Rapidrage, Flurryheart, and Lilyvine as her friends. She had known them one day! Still, she didn't want anyone to die! A small tear escaped her eye. "W-what?" She whispered, her voice quivering.
Riversun:
She was very disappointed in her daughter. “Then these new friends of your have to die, in exchange for you lying to me.”
Sparkflame:
He nudged his friend towards the thorn tunnel. Maybe they could escape while Riversun was busy.
Darkbreeze:
She trembled. "I-I'm sorry," She whispered, her eyes welling with tears.
Creekwood:
He gave looked at Sparkflame, not sure if they should risk leaving or not.
Riversun:
”So you hid the truth from me?!?!?”
Darkbreeze:
"I-I didn't want you to get mad at the other herds," She whispered, staring at the ground.
Riversun:
”So there was something you weren’t telling me?“
Creekwood:
His heart sank, and he groaned inwardly. "Should we run for it?" He whispered to Sparkflame.
Darkbreeze:
She saw her mother, and squeaked in surprise.
Sparkflame:
”We can’t leave now!“ he hissed at Creekwood, seeing Riversun looking at them. “We shouldn’t have done this!”
Creekwood:
He shrugged, not sure what else to do.
Sparkflame:
”So, um.” He looked at Creekwood.
(Did I miss anything important? Not just on here, anywhere. I kinda got sidetracked for three or four days... XD)
Darkbreeze:
She looked at the ground, not sure how to respond to that. SHe bit her bottom lip.
(back!)
Sparkflame:
”Huh.” He grinned. “I wish I could have that chance.”
(oof, gtg)
Darkbreeze:
"Couple of weanlings helped me escape," She whispered, her voice a little louder.
Sparkflame:
”How did you get away?”
Darkbreeze:
"Freedom Herd, I think," She said softly.
Sparkflame:
”By who?” He wondered if it was Freedom Herd.
Riversun:
Her ears pricked. Her daughter hadn’t told her this!
Darkbreeze:
She bit her lip again. She figure it wouldn't hurt to tell them a little more. "I got caught," She whispered, her voice barely audible. It sounded more like a breath than a voice at that point, it was so quiet.
Creekwood:
His eyes widened. "You got caught?"
Riversun:
She glanced over and saw her daughter talking to two captured Night Herd pegasi. She narrowed her eyes, creeping closer to eavesdrop.
Darkbreeze:
"Sort of," SHe whispered, so quietly they could barely hear it.
Creekwood:
He pricked his ears.
(oooh, what if RIversun saw them talking?? that would cause some drama)
Sparkflame:
He cocked his head. He had just known that she wouldn’t tell them. After all, Creekwood and him were not even full Night Herd pegasi, ones that Riversun had told her daughter never to trust.
Darkbreeze:
Her ears flicked and she bit her bottom lip. Should she tell them?
Sparkflame:
”Did something go wrong?”
Darkbreeze:
"Oh," SHe looked down. "Fine, I guess."
Sparkflame:
”How did your mission go?”
Darkbreeze:
She looked up, and looked around, having not seen where the sound came from. She saw the weanling colts. "W-what?" She asked quietly.
Sparkflame:
”Hi!” He called out. “We wanted to know how it went.”
Creekwood:
He followed Sparkflame.
Sparkflame:
”But only really quickly.” He nodded, starting to walk towards Darkbreeze.
Creekwood:
"It would be more to see what happened," HE said. "Her mother probably won't be happy if she didn't finish, so she would be even more mad when we escape,"
Sparkflame:
”But has she really ever tried to be kind to us?” As much as he could remember, Darkbreeze had always avoiding them, mainly because her parents told her to.
Creekwood:
"We could go over realy quick, ask what happened, and leave?" He suggested.
Sparkflame:
He contemplated what to do. “We could go over...or...” he looked behind them, were a thorn tunnel would allow them easy escape...if they did it now while no one noticed them gone.
Creekwood:
"I wonder how it went," He said.
Sparkflame:
He saw Darkbreeze. “Hey, she’s back.” He nudged Creekwood.
Darkbreeze:
SHe lightly pawed the ground with her hoof, staring at it. SHe sighed and swished her tail. How much did Mama see? She wondered. I hope she doesn't attack the herds...
(Can a weanling find her?)
Riversun:
She exhalked. “We are going to attack Freedom Herd and Rain Herd in half a moon. Darkbreeze’s friends,” she winced, “pose a danger to me. As well as the black foal.”
Silentfire:
He stepped back. "I'm you're herd mate. And, well, you're mate."
Riversun:
”I haven‘t quite decided.” She narrowed her eyes. “But why should I tell you anyway?”
Silentfire:
"So? You'll still be... doing... whatever you're going to do!" He stepped closer. "Tell me now, what you're going to do. Is someone getting hurt?"
Riversun:
”But she won’t know.”
Darkbreeze:
She stood under a tree, facing in the opposite direction of where her parents were. SHe shivered. How much had her mother seen?
Rapidrage:
He pricked his ears, hearing the faint neighs and nickers of Rain Herd, and Greywing talking. Angry, he flared his wings and shot a wall of fire at the entrance of the cave. He narrowed his eyes and the fire stayed in one straight line at the entrance, and reach of to the ceiling.
Graywing:
He looked over the herd. He snapped his wings out, gathering their attention. "Rain Herd," He whinnied, his voice booming over the steeds. "We have the fire elemental in our midst. He is on our side, and will aide us. I declare war on Night Herd and Freedom Herd. Prepare the armies, train the yearlings. We leave in a half moons time."
Snowcloud:
She waited for Graywing to begin talking.
(Sorry for keeping y'all waiting I've been busy)
Doeroot:
She walked out to where the meeting was being held.
Riversun:
”Maybe I won’t.” She agreed.
Silentfire:
He looked at his mate. "I know you're not going to just 'thank them' like you had said." He stepped closer to her and puffed his chest and arched his neck. He looked down at her.
Riversun:
”Yes?” She looked at Silentfire.
Darkbreeze:
SHe walked away, not really sure where to go. She didn't want to hear her parents argue again, so she went a ways away, where she hoped she wouldn't be able to her them.
Silentfire:
He waited calmly, and his dark blue eyes darkened even more.
Riversun:
She gave her daughter permission to leave.
(Btw, I posted my entry for Wispiflower's challenge)
Darkbreeze:
She looked up at her father, her eyes wide.
Silentfire:
"Darkbreeze, please leave us. I need to talk with my mate... alone." He didn't look at his daughter.
Darkbreeze:
She shivered, not liking where this was going.
Riversun:
An evil spark lit her eye. “I would like to see them myself to...thank them.” He words dipped like venom.
Silentfire:
That colt. That colt that had followed Darkbreeze. He was Rapidrage. His eyes widened but he kept his mouth shut.
Darkbreeze:
She blinked. "W-what?"
Riversun:
”How do you think we should pay them back?”
Darkbreeze:
A small gasp escaped her lips. Her eyes widened.
Riversun:
She didn’t reveal that she knew the foals were elementals. “Flurryheart, Rapidrage, Lilyvine, and Moonstorm. Excellent.”
Darkbreeze:
Her eyes widened, feeling her mother see the memories. She shivered. SHe didn't like this feeling. At all. It felt as though her thoughts were no longer hers, that her mind was being shared with the world. No privacy. Her eyes were practically boring holes into the ground. Her eyes welled up with tears, hating this feeling.
(Would she be able to feel RIversun seeing her memories?)
Riversun:
She closed her eyes, viewing Darkbreeze’s memories with her mind. She nearly stumbled backwards seeing the weanlings that were with her. All elementals...
She backed away from Darkbreeze, her eyes wide.
Darkbreeze:
She stared at the ground, and lightly pawed it. She swished her small tail.
Riversun:
Repaying them will be fun! She imagined what she could do to pay them back. Torture them, perhaps. Burn their wings... anything she could do to get them to release more information.
Darkbreeze:
"oh," She exhaled.
Riversun:
”I want to see who those weanlings are. We do owe them, for one thing, for letting you off the hook.”
Darkbreeze:
She squeaked. "W-why?" She asked, her eyes wide.
Riversun:
”I still would like to look at your memories for closer inspection.” She pondered.
Silentfire:
He exhaled. If only he was Silentwing. Then Riversun... or Rivercloud... which ever... would probably respect him.
Darkbreeze:
She nodded again, hoping her mother would believe her.
Riversun:
”Are you sure?” Her eyes narrowed.
(Back!)
Windstorm:
"Do I eat it?" he mumbled, struggling to speak clearly with the bark in his mouth
Lemonroot:
She handed him more bark. "Don't swallow." She slipped it inbetween his teeth.
Windstorm:
He ate the bark. "Ew!"
Lemonroot:
"It's..." she trailed off. "You'll fine, just stay still and eat this." She laid bark infront of his nose, and then spread leaves over his leg. Then she rinsed it, before spreading a paste. She found a thick and strong stick and used it to make a splint for his leg.
Windstorm:
"How's my leg?" he asked the medicine mare
Silentfire:
He puffed his chest and didn't say a word.
Darkbreeze:
She shivered, and tried to remember. "Not that I can think of," She said softly.
