Caita, "Alright now get out of the way, Mamma's about to beat up your Dad." she said with an evil smirk. And as soon as Tideflight got out of the way she made a big wave that engulfed Windborn and she just watched and laughed.
Windborn:
he swallowed water then diving under he grabbed Caita and dragged her own again
Caita flipped around and held him under with her waiting until he started to freak out before she went anywhere
Summary: (Courtesy of RB, thank you xD)
Not a lot has happened, the foals have left the lake tired and happy. It is now the next morning (at least for Thea and Lonestar). Windborn and Caita had a moment, Thea and Lonestar were discussing Lonestar’s hunger, and that’s about it.
I am soooo sorry this took so lonnggggg (RB, if I don’t show up, just make a new part, I won’t really care at all xD)
Wildstrike,
He lashed his tail, and backed away further so that he couldn't see Shadow Herd, Wildstrike knew he needed a way to get to Spottedwind, without Whitesky near by, or that pesky star foal, that had started to hang out with Spottedwind.
Whitesky watched Caita, and Windborn laughing, as he waited for Spottedwind and Estrel to leave too. But he would probably stay there a little longer anyways, he liked the view that was at the lake too.
(Thanks Nightmist!)
Mossroot:
She slept in later than she usually does, but when she opened her eyes, she remembered what the day was that day.
She felt tears brimming her eyes as she lifted her head and looked into the sunrise lit horizon, "Happy birthday, Steelhoof....my son.."
She whispered to herself, wiping her eyes angrily, before standing up and trotting towards the waking Shadow herd. She awoke Thunderfire to apply more numbing saps to his wings and shoulders, not caring if he complained. She fixed his splint, which had shifted in the middle of the night, with a harsh tug and she trotted away from him without an apology. She lashed her tail at nothing, and lowered her head to graze.
Hugur woke up stretching and yawning, he trotted over and grazed with the other foals. He saw Caita and was happy that she was too finally.
Thunderfire:
Thunderfire grumbled slightly when aroused from sleep, but stood up to let Mossroot work on his wings. When she sharply tugged on the splint, a sharp stab of pain punctured though his recently healed withers, causing him to ’harrumph’ and glare slightly after her angry form.
Mossroot:
She flared her wings at Thunderfire-feeling his glare and allowing it to roll of her back.
Thea:
She nuzzled Lonestar one last time before trotting away to find Mossroot. She found the mare grazing and approached her with a smile, "Good morning, Mossroot! Do you need-" But her question was interrupted by Mossroot, who had pinned her ears upon Thea's arrival. She bared her teeth and snapped her jaws, and Thea instantly back away. "Are you okay?" She asked gently, noticing the anger and pain swirling like a storm in Mossroot's eyes, but instead of softening towards the filly, Mossroot whirled her neck around and bit Thea hard on shoulder.
Thea scrambled back at Mossroot's bite, gasping in surprise and at the pain that engulfed her side, with her eyes wide and confused. Mossroot had never pinned her ears at anyone, much less bite! Mossroot was treating Thea like she was some sort of threat! Something was wrong with the usually kind and patient mare, but obviously Mossroot, who had turned away from Thea with her ears still pinned, wouldn't let the filly get close enough to ask.
Thunderfire:
Thunderfire watched as Mossroot bit Thea, and flaared his nostrils. he cantered over, glaring at the mare, and then turned to Thea. ”Are you alright?,” he asked. He glanced at Mossroot, recognizing her pain with a pang of empaathy. ”I think it’s best to leave her be today,” he muttered.
Iden:
She awoke early, the sun had just crested the horizon. Her eyes searched the soft grass for Jigun. She spotted him, just where she had left him the night before. With soft steps she crept over and stood next to him fluffing her feathers and pulling them close to her side. She let her head hand and her hoof slack, dozing in the morning sun.
Tuuli:
Tuuli had slept in a tree, using her wings to balance herself. The wind ruffling through the leaves sung her to sleep. She awoke to a large creak from the tree. It seemed as if it was yawning, which made her smile. She fluttered down and grazed on the damp grass.
(wOaH. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed XD Poor Thea)
(xDD)
Thea:
She nodded, "I'm fine." She said, then followed Thunderfire's gaze to Mossroot, "Why? What's wrong with her?" She asked, but by then Anblick had awakened, and his eyes were filled with the same pain that Mossroot had. He quietly stood up and trotted to Thea and Thunderfire, "I can answer that." He mumbled, then glanced at his broken aunt, her head now hung low and her wings sagging.
"Today, my cousin and her only son, would have turned 20 years old. It was his dream to be a captain, but about a moon ago, he was killed in a wolf attack while trying to protect Ash herd..."
"She blames herself for his death, being a medicine mare and all. Of course, I was banished to the Trap, so I never witnessed his death, but I do remember him. He was kind, family-oriented, and always honest. He drove away bullies who picked on me, and in his free time, he helped Mossroot with her medicine mare duties." He said, his golden eyes downcast as he remembered his cousin's smiling face.
"I didn't know him for very long, but I do know that he was my aunt's whole world. After he died, she was never the same." He explained.
Thea:
She frowned and shook her head, "She's grieving...Can't we do something to help her? After all she does for us? We have to help." She snorted and was about to step towards Mossroot again, but Anblick held her back, "N-No. She's too hurt to accept help. Just pray to the Ancestors that Steelhoof is happy, I guess." He said softly, before trotting towards his aunt. He nickered softly in greeting and Mossroot simply glanced at her nephew, her tail lashing and wings tensed. Mossroot turned away from Anblick to look at Marlcloud.
Her eyes suddenly narrowed and she stamped the soil, but she peeled her eyes away from the lead-mare to look back at Anblick. Her eyes were glassy with uncried tears and she bit her tongue to keep from sobbing.
Anblick whispered something to Mossroot, and she nuzzled the golden colt, glaring gently at Thea and Thunderfire.
Jigun:
He awoke to soft hoof beats and a warm body close to his. He opened his black eyes and saw Iden standing next to him, dozing gently. He watched her for a second, her sides slowly expanding and compressing with each breath, her pretty feathers ruffling in the wind. He smiled, but turned his eyes away before she noticed and nickered a greeting, "Morning."
Iden:
She took in a deep breath taking in the colts comforting scent. "Morning." She said her eyes still closed.
Jigun:
He exhaled, noticing the quiet morning. The birds were chirping gently, the wind was calm for once, the clouds were big and poofy, and the sun rose slowly. "What shall we do today?" He asked, noting that the day was perfect enough for anything.
Iden:
"Im not big on planning. I let fate decide." She said drinking in the morning air. "Although we need to do something about that wing."
Jigun:
He winced gently as she brought up his one crooked wing. "Right...." He mumbled looking over his back at the one wing that was held at an awkward angle. He flexed both his wings and watched as one moved normally while the other didn't. He frowned and looked back forward,
"It would be nice to be able to move without pain. But, as you said, I'll let 'fate decide.'" He nickered sarcastically, bumping her playfully on the hip with his hip. "I don't believe in fate or coincidences. My fate is up to me."
(I'm still trying to figure out what exactly happened to his wing..... I sorta got lost on that part when it happened, or I just don't remember it!! XD)
@Echolake (his twin brother attacked him out of order from the over-stallion of Sky herd. He attempted to cripple Jigun for life, but only managed to break Jigun's wing bone before he escaped. The bone healed, it just healed wrong, so now one wing is crooked and painful.)
@Riverbreeze (Oofie!! XD)
Iden:
"Pfft. That's no fun." She said slightly ramming him with her shoulder. "C'mon lets go find Thea."
Vida:
She stood streaching and tears filled her eyes. She burried her face in seaglade's feathers and cried. It was the one year aniversiary of when Strikewing had killed, Mistburr and Thunderbrook.
Lonestar:
"I'm kinda hungry but this grass tastes kind good." She said
Jigun:
He smirked and rammed Iden back, then broke into a trot before she had the chance to respond. He found Thea standing with Thunderfire and he snorted a greeting. He stood there awkwardly for a second, not knowing how to start the conversation. "Uhm...Anblick and Silren told me you could help me."
He said, before unfolding his wing for her to see the crook towards the base, "Can you heal it?" He asked and felt his mouth turn downward into a frown.
Jigun wasn't one to ask for help-he figured it made him look pretty pathetic and stupid, but his wing screamed in pain so he figured that being embarrassed for a few minutes was worth it.
Mossroot:
She snorted harshly at Lonestar, her wings arched and open. Anblick nudged her encouragingly, but she simply shook off his touch as if it annoyed her, before walking forward towards the better grass and started to rip up the grass angrily with her teeth, leaving Anblick with a hurt and pained expression.
