He signed. "I have to go!" Then he turned after Willowfall. His voice was dry. "Willowfall!"

"I'm doing fine!" He signed

Spiderstar: "Oh sorry! I am doing ok, how about you?" He signed his wings moving fast as he smiled softly

Shadowvision had forgotten he cant hear so he signed "I said how are you"

He signed to Willowfall. "WHat did he say?"

Shadowvision trotted to his sister. "Hi! How are you guys?"

Duskfire streched out his wings, he glanced over to Stormwind, he nuged her gently with his wing, "hey you want to go on a flight?" He asked

Stormwind nodded and took to the air, "com'on!" She nickered gleefully.

Duskfire smiled and took to the air, he looked around, Duskfire pointed to a hill in the distance, "race ya?" He asked,

Stormwind shot towards the hill, "I'm goin to beat yaà"

Nyke:

She was standing in the valley and just watching everything going on. She watched the foals trying to fly and herd going through their daily lives. She smiled, happy for these Pegasi, but also feeling a sadness in her heart. Nyke couldn’t fly- even though she wanted to very badly. One of the reasons why she loved jumping and running was because it gave her the feeling of flying, but as reality set in, she knew that she would never feel the real joy of flight. Her eyes saddened, and she turned and walked back to the cave.

She frowned and her heart heaved. She slowly laid down in the cool, stone floor of the small cave. Nyke laid her head against the wall of the cave and sighed deeply, wondering why her life was so complicated.

"I cant hear you." he signed

Spiderstar:

He grabbed at her wing. "No please!" he signed

Shadowvision pranced around the meadow. He watched for the stallion that had ran away from him

Heartsong nodded knowing she could not tell a single soul.

Mapleroot:

She closed her eyes. "I unburried her body and found the foal. I will raise him as my own he knows only me as a mother. He is deaf." SHe said sadly

"How, she's already dead?"

Mapleroot:

"Gentlecloud is his mother." She staited

"I wont I swear! But who is his real mother?" She asked kindly and simply

Mapleroot:

"Spiderstar..... is not my son by birth...... You cat tell anyone!" She said her eyes widened

"Alright what is it that you need?" She asked politely

Mapleroot:

"I need to speak with you dear." She said ever so gently

She nodded knowing this young colt was in good hands

Mapleroot:

"The roots will make him sleep and fill him for a while. Don't worry about him. I will care for my son," She said

"OK" She said. She looked toward Willowfall and Shadowvision. She wondered how long the colt would be asleep

Mapleroot:

"I think so. He needs rest and then to nurse." She said

"Will he be OK?" She asked

Mapleroot:

She grabbed some roots, mashed them in her teeth and mumbled. "Hold his mouth open Heartsong." Then when she did Mapleroot put the roots in his mouth and he chewed, swallowed and fell asleep.

Heartsong tried to help him up and keep him up long enough to eat

Spiderstar:

he felt like the world was spinning around and around him. He tried to stand but fell back too tired

Stormwind,

Stormwind took to the air and landed next to Duskfire, she nuzzled him softly, "How's it going?" Stormwind asked,

"not to bad" Duskfire replied shrugging his wings

Heartsong tried to help the young colt stand back up.

"Thank you my friend. tomorrow I will make the foals, Spiderstar and Lastlight a root mixture instead of milk." She said thinking

Valda stretched in the sunlight. It had been a very long day for

She checked her adopted son's pulse. "He needs food and rest. Some one can you nurse him?" She asked her eyes tired

She came running when she heard Willowfall's scream. "What?" She shouted running up to them

Spiderstar:

he closed his eyes. He had a throbbing headache. He moaned softly. Then he fell over, he had not had any food that day and he was hungry and tired.

Heartsong had seen the colt sign so she signed, "What do you need?"

Spiderstar: He shook his head. He was wanting to know what the filly's name was. He tried to sign to the mare but got confused and slumped

Heartsong looked at the young colt. She lowered her head towards his as a greeting

Spiderstar:

he walked to a tall mare. (Heartsong) And gently head butted her

Shadowvision:

"Mama! Mama! I found a horse!" He said proudly. His mother had a weird look on her face, like he didn't know what he was talking about. He looked behind himself, the strange stallion wasn't there! He stamped his hoof on the ground angrily.

Spiderstar:

"What is your name?" He signed

Silo stopped. Why am I following a colt? He thought to himself. He walked away quietly so the colt wouldn't hear him

Spiderstar:

He signed back. "I did? I didn't know. What did I say?" (Can she see now?)

Spiderstar:

He tilted his head. What was she happy about? He tried to speak but his mouth was dry. He wondered what was happening that he could not hear. He sighed confused again

"What's your name?" Asked Silo. The colt was black with a wide blaze. He also had crimson red feathers. The colt didn't respond and just kept trotting.

Spiderstar:

He gently shook his head pulling away from her. He gave a short whinnie.

Heartsong:

Heartsong smiled at the two foals. She noticed Shadowvision with Silo in the meadow.

Spiderstar:

he loved to fly but he wished he could talk to her.

Spiderstar:

he wagged his tail and tried to fly but only gluided slightly

Spiderstar:

he frozen, this filly was pretty but he could not say that.

Zippeh:

She rolled on the groung laughing. "Sure it is."

Zippeh:

"You can when your racing in the forest." She was small and compact it would be easy for her to doge the trees. "Especially when the champs dad is in the forest." She giggled, joking about his injury in the forest.

She pumped her legs faster and snorted as his tail stinged her cheeks. They soon made it to the main meadow where she stopped. Hakan had beaten her! But only by a little. "I'll get you next time" she chuckled.

She smirked. She jumped onto a large rock and pushed herself back-wards giving herself a boost the other way. She gained closely to Hakan and playfully nipped at him.

Heartsong looked at the colt. "I didn't know you had a foal" she said excitedly.

Spiderstar:

He stammed his hooves again and rearsed silently. He was so confused. Why couldn't he hear them!
