Skysong and Riverbush looked at their mother puzzled, "Why mother?" asked Skysong.

"Because, even if this foal is white, he's still the twin of a black foal, and therefore he might receive similar powers to those his dead twin would have gotten if she had lived to her first birthday."

"Oh." said Riverbush, "So you want one of us to hide the white foal so no one tries to kill him."

"Exactly." said Snowbush.

Now Snowbush's twins under stood what she was saying, they started to look concerned, "Can we both go?" asked Riverbush.

"If you both want to," said Snowbush, and both of her foals nodded, "Okay then, you will leave as soon as the storm lets up."
