An MLP Theory

Yeaaaaaaaaah...so this is a BIT different from usual posts on here, LOL!! But I just wanted to share an MLP theory of mine.

So, Princess Luna. Everyone who's seen My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic knows about her, some call her 'Best Princess'. However, you can't look at Luna's character arc without looking at Nightmare Moon, Luna's Villainous counterpart. There are MANY theories as to how Luna became Nightmare Moon, some say that evil shadow creatures tainted her, some say her fight with Discord and/or Sombra may have tainted the Moon Princess somehow. I have a different theory (Maybe not all that new, I don't know if anyone's said this before, LOL!!!). My theory is that Luna and Nightmare Moon are the SAME PONY. I think that Princess Luna always had the capability to turn into Nightmare Moon, and why do I think that? The moon itself. Our moon has what is known to be a 'Light Side' (Princess Luna), and a 'Dark Side' (Nightmare Moon). So, it's ENTIRELY possible that the Princess of the Night could ALWAYS turn into Nightmare Moon, without being tainted by outside forces. She just never had a reason to show her 'Dark Side'. That is, until she felt she needed to to get what she felt she deserved.

Thats what I think!!! If anyone's seen EQ, then you'll know that Twighlight Sparkle turns into Midnight Sparkle. So it is TOTALLY probably that all ponies of power have evil counterparts, as temption/evil is always there.

I never considered her being able to turn into N.M.(using that abbreviation cause it's easier lol)on her own without something to trigger it before, cool! I always had seen Luna and NM as the same pony, just a darker side (well maybe not when I was like 9 and 10, but I was literally 9 and 10 so of course I didnt XD) of her, and that she would be able to turn into her with similar influences as the first time. But this is a really cool theory!! (Also on a different note, did you know that there's a movie for the mlp new generation ? I've seen clips of it and it seems actually really good. The soundtrack is also awesome)
