Dear Herd Nerds, Here is the 2nd Weekly Book Quote! I have decided not to post it on the same day every week, but at least within 14 days of the previous one. These quotes are from K. M. Shea's book called "Life Reader". Enjoy! (Quote 1) "There's something about her," Jeremiah reflectively continued. "I'm not sure what it is, but I feel as though there are depths to her that we could never fathom." "Your English class is going through another poetry unit, aren't they?" "Shut up!" (Quote 2) "I'll be your third twin, or triplet or whatever," Raven said, waving her hand through the air. "I want to be your friend," she rephrased. The twins stared at Raven. "Seriously?" "Yep." There was awkward silence for several moments before the twins broke into identical grins and each reached out to snag Raven's arms. "Excellent!" "I knew you would all along." "Don't worry, we'll forgive you for being a girl." "We should probably update our Facebook status to announce this." "No one is friends with us. We rejected all the offers, remember? How about we make a tweet?" "We could, but no one is following us either." "That's a problem." "Yeah, we'll have to fix that." (Quote 3) "Making a sneak attack against our triplet?" someone said. "Oh no, no, no. That's isn't allowed," a second voice lectured. Yeah, so, I'm not sure how I ever thought I could just have one quote for one book, 'cause I am finding that it is impossible. There are to many funny quotes! Anyways, just letting you know, next week will be quotes from KotLC, and please feel free to let me know if you want me to find quotes from your favorite books!
Dear Herd Nerds, Alright, the RPs have officially taken over the message board. XD (Which is fine, but there needs to be a little balance, right?)
So, on that note, I have decided to do a weekly book quote. Not just from Jennifer Lynn Alvarez's books, but from others too. Here is the first one, from the Blackthorn Key series: (Quote 1) "But what if they're already at the warehouse?"
"Then I won't go in," I said. "I'm not an idiot."
He muttered something I couldn't quite hear. "So what am I supposed to do?" he said finally.
"You're coming with me. I need you in case things goes wrong."
Tom looked desperately unhappy, "Can I just say again that this is a bad idea?"
"Sure," I said.
And as usual, he was absolutely right. (Quote 2 -Sorry, they both were so good, I couldn't decide between them, so I did both!) "Christoper," Tom said. "Can I please rest for a minute?"
"They're throwing axes at us, Tom," I said.
"I'll rest later, then."
"Good idea," I muttered. These two quotes are from different books in the series (I think), but they always make me laugh, thinking of the wild adventures Tom and Christoper went on together. Hope they made you laugh too! If you want a certain book to have the next quote, go head and comment below; I'll try to read it and find a quote to put on the next "Weekly Book Quote" post!
I'm a fan of The Guardian Herd and Riders of the Realm. I also read the Pet Washer, which I thought was adorable. But what happened to The Wishing Star? I so wanted to read that, but I can't find it anywhere. Did it actually get published? If anyone knows anything about the next book in the Pet Washer series, it would be much appreciated! -Tiger
