Dawnfeather circled lazily around Sunrise river, a tributary for Starlight Lake or rather it ran through Starlight Lake and ended at Sunset fall which face west hence the name. Of course Sunrise river headed east, again hence the name. Dawnfeather spotted her friend, Gingerstar. She was a copper colored yearling, 4 white stockings, and sunny sand colored wings. Dawnfeather landed next to her and nickered with a sparkle of excitement "wanna go do some tricks?"

Gingerstar nickered back "of course! lets take a jet stream?" with a mischevious glint in her golden amber eyes.

Dawnfeather snorted "anyways, how about Sunset falls? we can dive down the water?"

Gingerstar neighed "ok then, but you go first! and race ya!" Gingerstar took of speeding towards down the river.

Dawnfeather neighed "no fair!" and sped up, catching up to Gingerstar, passing her and landing 1st on Sunshine cliff. She spotted Dragonfrost and whinnied "hey! what are you doing here?"

Dragonfrost blinked "what? oh, just collecting shells" he said, pointing towards a pile of red and white.

Dawnfeather nickered "ok...then.... have fun!" she then shot up towards the clouds, staying just below them and shot down, wrapping her huge wings around her and a split second before she would have landed, she opened her wings completely and made herself small to shoot over the cliffs. It looked like this:

Gingersong nickered "let me try!" after Dawnfeather had finished her trick. Gingersong flew up, her feathers gleaming in the sun, and dove down exactly but shot straight back up instead.

Dawnfeather clapped her wings together in applause. Gingersong grinned at her as she flew back down "shall we go now? its almost night and tomorrow's the migration for-" she never got to finish for Dawnfeather had interrupted "i know, i know, now lets go back"

Dragonfrost nickered in amusement partly because of a red crab and Dawnfeather. He called out "yeah! wanna head back?" he tried to tone down his excitement, the other yearling colts had given up on her, only Dragonfrost was left.

He picked up his favorite shell, a pearly white conch shell. Dragonfrost met with Dawnfeather and Gingerstar and they started heading back.
