-Zela-
Heart beating loudly, I ran as far away as I dared. Soon, the giant would be upon me. I wanted to fly, but my wing was sprained badly. If only I hadn’t fallen for the trap. It was so obviously too good. But no, I had to endanger everyone. My day had started out good, mostly. Here’s how it went:
“Snow!” I shouted to my younger sister, Kawaii.
“Fun fact, actually snow is really just frozen water,” She annoyingly piped up.
Fun fact, siblings can take the fun out of everything.
“Okay… Well, I have to go do that... uh, thing, probably. So, yeah, bye!” Kawaii can somehow be cute, irritating, and weird at the same time.
Confused, yet still determined to be optimistic, Kawaii waved her wing in farewell, "I'll see you later!"
"Oh brother," I muttered to myself. "I really hope I don't act like that."
"Help! Please, anyone! Please help!" Someone was in trouble! I looked around, but no one else was close by. The voice came again, but weaker. "Anyone, someone, please help..."
Cautiously, I followed the sound of the voice. It was a wild pegasus! She had brown spots, green feathers, a few bruises, a couple cuts, and a bulging belly.
"Are you alright?" She sure didn't look alright, but I wasn't going to be the one to tell her that.
"Of course I'm not okay! I feel like a tree fell on top of me, and the baby will be coming soon. Is anyone else with you? Maybe a mare named Echofrost?" The mare (and soon-to-be-mother) looked around.
"Well, this is a awkward. Um, no one else is here but us. I know Echofrost, or Sula as almost everyone else calls her. I can bring her here, if you want," I offered.
The mare sized me up, and unfortunately found me wanting, "You'd better hurry."
"Don't worry, you can count on me!" I called as I flew to Echofrost's stall.
"Wait, tell her Dewberry is waiting for her!" The mare, or Dewberry, I presume, called back. I saved my strenghth and didn't answer as I flew.
"Hello?" I landed gracefully. No one answered. "Is any pegasus here?"
"Zela, there you are!” Great, it’s Harak. My least favorite young man. “I was wondering where you had gone. Come on, we have to go get ready for the show.” He swaggered towards me.
Slowly, I backed up. I had to find Echofrost! I galloped away, with Harak on my tail, literally. HE WAS TRYING TO GRAB MY TAIL TO KEEP ME FROM FLYING AWAY!
“Stop running,” he wheezed when he lost his grip on my tail. “Or I’ll… um… Keep chasing you?”
I wish he could understand I was laughing at him, but he probably only thought I looked weird.
Taking to the skies, I scanned the area, searching for Echofrost. Where was she?
“Zela?” She asked when I eventually spotted her, and landed beside her.
“Someone here named Dewberry is here, she’s hurt, and her baby is coming soon,” Quickly, I told her everything Dewberry ordered me to.
“Dewberry? How did she get…? Never mind. Show me where she is,” Echofrost and I went swiftly to where I last saw her.
“She’s not here. Where did she go?” Echofrost turned to me. “You didn’t make this up, right?”
“Of course not! How else would I know her name? But, where is she?” Dewberry was nowhere in sight.
