Billowfall flashed Darkheart one of her rare warm smiles, "Of course," she said quietly, "Race you!" She called as she leapt into the air, nickering with delight.
Darkheart: He sighed in relief when she accepted. The last thing he wanted right now was to be alone. When he lifted off the ground, so did his worries.
Take one day at a time, he reminded himself.
With Billowfall by his side, he soared through the air, feeling more free than he had in a long time.
"Thanks for staying with me," he smiled at Billowfall, more grateful to her than she would ever know.
(Holy... CREPES!!!!!!! This website shifted into a VERY VERY high tec looking one! 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓)
Billowfall:
Billowfall smiled, "Thanks for... for... for being here," she whispered, "I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for you." The young mare could express herself, she just felt to overwhelmed with gratefulness.
He glared at her and took a small bite. It took everything in him not to spit it out. He ate it and lay down to sleep. When he woke up he had a horrible stomach ache. "Mama it hurts!" He moaned
Darkheart: He backed away, and lowered his head. What Billowfall said made sense, but stung, worse than any wasp bite or bee sting. Let Rainwillow go? But why? Froststone being her best friend shouldn't make a difference, right?
"Want to go fly with me?" he whispered, barely loud enough for Billowfall to hear. "I need to clear my head."
Billowfall studied her friend, he still seemed discouraged, or maybe more than before. Suddenly she realized that it was harder for Darkheart because Rainwillow probably was the highest thing he protected, and probably did it for his twin's entire life; that was something hard to let go. The young mare sighed, "Sure, I'd love to," she whispered, and followed her first real friend in many years out into the daylight.
Billowfall halted, flicking her tail, how could she explain what she meant without making things worse? She really didn't have anything to care for, or to protect since her parents passed on to golden meadow, and she was the only filly. The only one closest she knew was Froststone, but yet, it wasn't the same. He was always had been softhearted toward everyone and everything, while she- the complete opposite. One day they got into an argument, and she hurt Froststone; and since that day, she had hardened her heart toward everything, and anger toward the young stallion grew in her, almost killing Billowfall and turning her into what could have been Nightwing, his anger and rage toward every living soul, Billowfall could almost accommodate with the evil over-stallion. But one day, Darkheart came along, and was caring enough to enter into what she thought was her and only her business. And if it hadn't been for him going after her and convincing her to return, she would most likely be fully dead inside.
Her wings lay limp for she did not know how to fly yet. Her legs held her up for a minute then fell down in a heap. She whimpered. "Mama mama!" (The only word she knows)
(Guys, I'm going to make a Part 5!)
