Two weeks have passed since the portal through space and time opened in Anok! But as of today, the portal has become two way, sucking pegasi and humans alike into the revolutionary city of Philadelphia, 1777!

Ichika took his hand tightly. “Well I won‘t key you get caught!” She nodded firmly. “We just need to hurry and get back.”
Uriah: "A lot of people who look like me were enslaved at this time," he said. "So yes, there's a good chance that I may be sold if we are not careful."
Ichika gasped, and turned to Uriah. “Sold?!”
Duskfrost: "I frankly think I am kind of confused..." He whispered. "Are we safe or are you guys going to be...uh...sold?" Safe in a time like this? shiny doors that lead to places like this and spit them out?
Uriah: He smiled at her and straightened out his posture.
Ichika patted him thoughtfully on the shoulder. “It’s okay.”
Uriah: "And here I was thinking that things would get better as time passed," he sighed.
Ichika smiled and nodded. “Not all people are bad. Like Uriah.” She beamed. “It just gets harder to find those good people nowadays.”
Uriah: "I just mean... even though there are still some evil people in me and Ichika's times, there had been progress from the way things were at this point."
Duskfrost: "What answer? Who ae they? What about the pegasi? Do you mean us?" did they think I was different?
Ichika nodded. “Even in the future too.” She sighed. “Is it just as bad here, Uriah? Or… with the Pegasi I mean.”
Uriah: "Tell that to all the colonial Americans walking through Philadelphia right now..." he said. "I guarantee that they'll have a different answer for you..."
Duskfrost: His eyes were wide, "How does any of that matter? Aren't you all the same? Well...not the same as there are mares and stallions it seems." He looked between the two, noting the differences, but unlike some people, the color of their skin didn't even cross his mind as he just thought their coats were different? "You all live, breathe, think...?"
Uriah: "They don't do it for no reason... a lot of times they do it because they perceive some humans to be inferior to others," he said. "It can happen because of nationality, or herd I guess, skin color, gender..."
Ichika sighed. “But that’s why the parents always warn them. Parents look out for their kids- most of the time at least.” She nodded. “And we have special people who go out and look for those kids.”
Duskfrost: He was horrified. "You are telling me that people sell kids?! Kids are your foals and fillies right?" The thought was horrible, "Our kind do foalnap on occasion...but sell them?" he looked between the humans,
(That would be weird... :(
Uriah: He nodded and looked down. He didn't dare talk about how freely horses were bought and sold here.
Ichika sighed. “I meant- it doesn’t stop anyone. Kids get kidnapped and sold sometimes, it’s really heartbreaking.” She shivered softly.
Uriah: "It's illegal in my time, too. But there are a lot of systems in place that keep people living like slaves, too." He and his family were lucky to live in a mining town, but even then, they could only buy things from the company store with the pay they received.
Ichika sucked in a shaky breath. “Actually…” she looked down. “You can sell people. But in the future it’s illegal.”
