Tails of Snow Herd: Chapter 22: Return

    in HERD CHAT

The trip back to the patrol was longer then the fist trip, and Patchfeather had to stop frequently. But she finally cot up to Coldfire and the others in late afternoon.

The patrol was resting by the side of a river, when she found them. they all looked weirdly warn out.

"Did you find Snow Herd alright?" asked Beanwind, as Patchfeather landed.

"Yes, and everyone seams fine." answered Patchfeather.

    "Good." said Coldfire.

"What happened to you guys?" asked Patchfeather.

Flameberry snorted, "Those mangy Mountain Herd, sorry excuses for pegasi, caused an avalanche to fall in the middle of the night! Making me loose my beauty sleep."

Aspenflight rolled her eyes, "We don't know Mountain Herd was involved, Flameberry. And anyway your were the one on guard duty."

"We've been over this like ten times you to." said Beanwind, he sounded exasperated. Then he turned to Patchfeather, "I'll debrief you now, so we can get moving before nightfall."

Beanwind flapped his wings, and flew a little ways down the river. Patchfeather followed him. When they landed Beanwind turned to her.

"Did you see anything on the way back?" Beanwind asked.

"I saw trees, plants, hills, lakes, rivers, streams, ponds, and quite a few birds." answered Patchfeather.

"Not that, I mean did you see any Mountain Herd activity?" said Beanwind annoyed.

"Oh that... nope I don't think so." said Patchfeather.

"Ok, but keep me posted. If you see anything, tell me directly do not tell Coldfire."

Patchfeather looked at him, unsure of how to respond. Then she followed Beanwind back to the others.
