"Great idea. Going to Anok would be the best thing that could ever happen, at least in my opinion." He replied, wilting a little as Mordré walked right passed his stall, lead rope in hand attached to Asha.
He needed to get out of here.
Alko bucked at his stall door, aching to spread his wings and fly away, galloping to freedom.
"How about... next time our ... 'riders' (his disgust at the very word was obvious, like lemon on his tongue) take us out... we buck them off while they're on the ground and fly, as far and fast as we can go?"
As soon as the sentence left his muzzle, he realised how stupid it was. The Flyers would be on them within a second of their attempted escape.
"Nevermind," he sighed, wondering if Frei thought he was as stupid as he thought. She was, seemingly, the only other pegasus (he refused to brand himself or her as "kihlari") that wanted out of this captivity.
"Hmm... how about at night, when everyone's asleep, we buck our stall doors and make a fly for it?"
He sighed again, shaking his short mane and pawing the ground in annoyance. He was more or less scheming to himself now, regardless of whether Frei or any other kihlari was listening in or not.
"You have any ideas, Frei?"
Then he realised the price he would have to pay if he were to leave:
Asha adored Mordré. Asha didn't know what living free was, and as far as Alko knew his sister, she had no intention of finding out.
Alko stood still, wilting a little more, as he slowly folded his wings and dropped his head, ears drooping.
If he were to escape... Alko would never see his sister again.
She saw how Riptide trusted the young 2-legged and was surprised. How could she like it here? It was utter captivity. No freedom, barely any flying, just simply box. Thats all there was. Even the land horses had a better life. They were out in a paddok, running around. She was in this stupid box she wanted to murder. "Alko. I think Riptide or Valkyre or, whatever her name is, is better of here." She said looking at Riptide and wrinkling her nose. "Plus I don't want out there." She said pionting towards the barn door. "If im escaping, I am going to Anok."
Sage went to grab a cloth, she walked to the stream to soak the cloth, she walked to her saddle bag and got some herbs that helped numb and heal injures, she mashed it up and rubbed it onto the wet cloth.
"Okay girl, I'm coming in there," Sage walked into the stall and closed it behind her. "This is going to hurt for a bit but it will help with the pain," Sage said, she nelt down and gently set the cloth on her injured hoof.
Sage went to the other side of the stall and grabbed a brush, she sat down next to Valkyrie, and did long soothing strokes with the brush,l.
She made it to the stables and saw the stallion named Alk, fly. She wanted to fly and get off her hoof. She went to her stall and lay down trying to make it stop hurting
He sighed, lidding his eyes, lowering his head and flicking an ear. He leant over and sipped at his water. He repeatedly picked up and placed his hooves back down again, antsy. He had to get out of this stupid box.
Finally, he saw Firgo's sister, Mordré, enter the barn. He nosed her as she walked by. She was the only Landwalker he liked, purely because his sister trusted her.
Mordré:
She walked in to the stables, wary. Her eyes scanned the barn, looking for her brother. Knowing him, he had probably set Alko off again.
She sighed, shaking her head.
Mordré had to pass Alko's stall in order to get to Asharnai's, but she didn't mind. Also, despite being a wild spirit around Firgo and, well basically any other Landwalker apart from Arki, was quite tame around herself. Mordré often wondered if this was because Asha loved her.
As she passed his stall, he nosed her and she laughed, stroking his muzzle. "Hey boy," she whispered. "Want to join me and Asha for a fly?"
He whinnied excitedly and flared his emerald wings open.
"Atta boy. I'll ask a stablehand if they want to join us."
She left Alko and walked over to her mount, Asha's, stall. Asha greeted her with affection nuzzles.
"Let's go, girl," Mordré urged as she took the tack off from the wall.
She pulled away from Sage. She wanted help not for her to hurt her. "Help!" She squealed as she tried to walk. She wanted to scream and fly away. She tried no to put weight on her hoof and it helped, some
Sage turned back when she heard a thud, the gasped when she saw the look of pain on Valkyrie's face.
Sage ran over to her, and quickly found what was wrong,
'Good thing I always have herbs with me' sage thought. Sage reached into her pocket and took out several types of herbs. She took several of the same type of herb and mashed it up,
"I'm sorry girl, but this is going to hurt some," Sage said as she softly spread the mash onto Valkyrie's hoof,
"That should help with pain" Sage said,
"These will also help" Sage said putting out a hand with herbs, Valkyrie quickly ate them.
"Okay, now time to temporally splint your hoof," Sage said as she quickly grabbed to sticks of about the same size, and put it against Valkyrie's hoof and tied some rope around it.
"There, that should be good untill we get back," Sage said as she gently helped Valkyrie up, Sage grabbed the lead rope, and they slowly started walking back to the stables
She ran toward Sage, but she tripped and landed with a crack on her front right hoof. She gasped in pain and tried to chase Sage but she collapsed in pain
Sage landed with a big splash in giggles, "I know you cant understand me Valkyrie, but this is really fun!" Sage said, she got up still in giggles, and stroked Valkyrie's neck.
She hopped back on Valkyrie and gave her a big hug, "When your flight feathers heal I will help you get back to your herd," Sage whispered
"Easy braya, you can go back to your family when you can fly again I will let you go. Stay till then." She petted her and said, "If you stay calm you can be in an out door pen instead of a stall."
Riptide:
She jumped a log and splashed trough the creek, letting Sage get wet. If she could live like this for ever she would. Her herd did not need her. She stopped sudenly and sent Sage splashing trough the water. "Opps." She thought.
Her nostrils were wide as she tossed her head and pranced away from the human who tried to tie her. She half jumped, half reared in the direction of the jungle, slamming her head in that direction and pulling the oddly dressed high class girl forward. She refused to move and she brayed out to the jungle; “Mother! Father! Mountainvoid, I’m here!”
