"That is MY phone," Spencer growled. "Give. It. Back. Fraya, shush for a sec. I can text you when I've dealt with this nuisance that may or may not have derived from an oyster." He snatched the phone back and pressed the "End Call" button, then jerked his thumb toward the door. "Leave," he said. "I don't care if you listen through the door, just get out."
(Heheh, interested again...)
(So, where we left off here, it was like Monday, right? And the dance was gonna Thursday?)
( Lol true. Thatโs okay with me if itโs okay with the others )
(y'all just wanna skip forward a couple days? what's gonna happen within those days? not much and i don't want it to get boring)
Waverly shrugged. โNot much. Lots of extra chores, since some of the other kids got sick around the beginning of the week or something. Thatโs basically been it. Pretty boring.โ
Fraya shrugged at Spencer. โI donโt care. I mean, that rocking chair in your room is pretty comfy...โ
Eli:
He grinned widely and chuckled, "Awesome! Thanks, Ria." He said, looking up at the clock for the time. When he saw there was five minutes left he stuffed the rest of his sandwich into his mouth, then stole one of Gabby's cookies, popped it in his mouth, which proceeded Eli getting playfully smacked upside the head by his younger sister.
Ria:
She rolled her eyes with a smile. โOf course, silly! Why would I not come is the real question!โ She snorted.
( OOOOO Another character named Scott!!! I like it!!!! :D )
Eli:
He smiled, grateful at her sudden comment. "Yes. Very. I'm almost kinda nervous because Scott(Stormglade) is going to be there and he's also a really great runner." He said, frowning at the mention of the tall and handsome sophomore who had often picked on Maddie and Brianne when they were kids.
Scott had abruptly stopped a while ago, but Scott was still rude and inconsiderate. "Anyway, are you going to come? It'd mean a lot to me 'cause it's the first meet of the year." He added, silently praying that she could come.
Oscar:
โSo, anyways, whatโs been up with you?โ He asked.
Ria:
She saw Eliโs look and shrugged, unhelpful in the matter, but soon found that the two had created their own conversation and that the tension was easing up a little. โExcited for your track meet?โ She asked Eli, trying to start up some more bits of conversation.
Oscar:
He flashed Waverly a brilliant smile and said, โNothing much, really. Iโve been helping my Dad with his drawings and things, reading books, yโknow, normal day-to-day stuff. I was hoping to find a stable near by that I could work at to gain weekly riding lessons, but I donโt think thatโll be happening anytime soon. . . โ
Spencer looked up at the intercom and down to his watch, confused. "It's barely been ten minutes," he muttered. "Where'd the time go?" He shrugged. He'd probably been in the bathroom before lunch longer than he'd realized.
He caught up with Fraya and answered her question. "Sure. My house or yours?"
Waverly smiled gratefully and motioned for Oscar to sit down.
When no one spoke, she realized why. They were listening to redhead at the other table talking to the dark-haired guy. As she unintentionally started listening too, she realized what was going on, and flushed slightly, clearing her throat and turning to Oscar to distract herself.
โSo, what have you been up to since I was over the other day?โ she said with a smile.
Eli:
He was right about to take a bite of his sandwich, when Freya and Spencer started talking. Eli tried not to eavesdrop, but it was quite difficult considering they were seated directly in front of him. He took a huge bite of his sandwich to try and avoid the awkwardness that their conversation had developed, but everyone else at the table was also feeling the tension.
Maddie:
She sat deeper in her chair and hurriedly ate a bag of chips.
Gabby:
She smushed her face into her book as to try and avoid the tension, just like Eli but in her own way
Eli:
At the mention of Oscar, he sat up quickly and nodded, 'Yeah! Yeah, of course." He said, scooting his chair over to make room for the teen. Eli swallowed and licked his lips, glancing at Ria and Brianna to say something.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of lunch still, Waverly glanced at the others again. โUm, it is okay if Oscar sits here too, right...?โ
(wwwoooooowwwwww....alrighty then)
At that moment, the bell rang for the end of lunch, and Fraya grinned at her success.
โSorryyyy, gotta go to class. Maybe you can be nosy another time.โ
Feeling rather embarrassed as she said it, she got up with her things, took a few paces away, then asked (back still turned), โWanna come over after school and talk this over a little more? I still have some questions.โ
Spencer cocked his head. "Oh, but now I'm curious. Why do you hate soccer and Target?"
Fraya laughed way harder than she meant to. โNoooooo way. I have no idea why, but I hate soccer as much as I hate Target. Donโt ask me why I hate either of them. I really donโt know.โ
