She cried even harder. "Y-Yes it was. Callum....It was my fault. Please don't speak. Just lay down!" She said and used her wings to gently lay him down. She whimpered as she looked at the sword. He was bleeding heavily and she knew she had to act fast.
"This is going to hurt, Callum. Hold my wing and clench your fists around it." When he hesitated, she screamed at him, more tears running down her cheeks. "DO IT! NOW!" She extended one wing for him to grab, then focused on the sword. "Okay....one, two, three."
Using her teeth she ripped out the sword. As soon as it was out, she flung the sword away and grabbed several wing loads of moss and pressed it hard against the wound. She breathed heavily and her legs trembled. "I'm so sorry, Callum. I'm so sorry...." She mumbled over and over again as she managed to stop the bleeding.
He groaned, immediately letting go of Fawnroot's wing. "Fawnroot... Fawnroot... FAWNROOT," he rasped, "It wasn't your fault, stop blaming yourself!" His own tears rimmed his eyes as he watched the poor mare sob loudly as she desperately tried to help him.
He reached up with his hand and wiped her tears with his thumb, "Ssh," he whispered with a sad smile, "Don't be sorry."
(GAHHHHH I'M WAILING INTERNALLY YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS MUSIC OF HTTYD!!!! GAHHHHHHH)
@Riverbreeze LOL we both did the same thing technically XDDD)
Opalla:
She stumbled out of the trees into the sunlight, gasping for air. She could feel the warm blood ooze out between her fingers from her wound; she desperately needed help.
The centauress stumbled along the shore, trying her best to keep her consciousness, just barely able to hold on to it. She fell to her knees.
It all happened so fast-Fawnroot never even saw the arrow coming. She just clenched her eyes shut and waited to see her grandfather again.
Pain erupted from her shoulder as blood poured out from the wound. She gasped and looked down-the arrow was still in her shoulder, but her pain evaporated as she saw Callum.
She galloped to Callum and touched his cheek with her wingtip. "Ah! Callum!!" The sword still in his ribs as he clutched the hilt, and tears rimmed her eyes. "I-I'm so sorry, Callum! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" She cried, her emotions flooding out. She saw the trail of blood that followed Opalla but Fawnroot didn't care.
"L-Lay down and don't move. I've got you. I'm here." She whinnied to him, her tears falling freely now, from her own pain in her shoulder, to the pain in her heart, to the anger she felt at Opalla.
(*CRIES* GO BE ANGRY AT OPALLA YEAH THAT'S THE WAY TO DO IT ARGHHHH)
Callum:
He wheezed, slowly looking up at the mare and watched her tears flow in streams down her face. His eyes trailed down to the arrow and his hand reached out to it, but he toppled against Fawnroot.
"Don't, Fawn. Don't apolo- apologize," he rasped, placing a hand on her soaked cheek, "It wasn't... you- you're... fault."
She chuckled and tightened her ponytail. "Yeah...and I am never swimming again. I'll just stick to land from now on." She said, glancing at Cole's neck, still obviously concerned.
She shuddered and pushed her lips upward, as if she smelled something disgusting, "Yeah, how could I forget?" She said.
Fawnroot:
She looked down at Callum. "B-But, she...she'll kill you." She nickered in a sad voice. Fawnroot raised her eyes to Opalla and she saw in her cold eyes that Opalla was serious. Opalla would gladly kill Fawnroot, just to get to Callum. "Opalla....you don't have to do this... This won't fix anything!"
A shiny metal object caught her eye and she quickly glanced towards it.
It was Callum's sword. It laid about 2 winglengths from Fawnroot's hooves. If she could get to it, Callum would have something to defend himself with. But, Fawnroot also knew that if she tried to make a break for it, Opalla would shoot her or Callum almost immediately.
Fawnroot glared at Opalla and pinned her ears. "I'm not moving. You kill Callum, then you kill me too."
"Alright, I won't mind at all." She raised her weapon and directed it toward the mare's chest, where her heart was located.
Callum:
"NO!" He lurched forward. The sharp, woody twang of the crossbow interfered with any other noise. He looked up frantically, first at Opalla, then at Fawnroot. He rushed forward, his eyes stinging with tears as he saw the arrow sticking out of the mare's shoulder, but it was her shoulder, and not her heart. Blood trickled down from the wound, and rage overcame his thoughts as he whipped around at Opalla.
Within a flash, ignoring his own injury completely, he snatched up his sword and reared before the centauress, his mismatched eyes aflame with fury.
Everything was a confusing blur as there was sound of an unsheathed sword and two impaling noises.
Opalla gasped shrilly, letting go of her own weapon to clutch her waist. She didn't wait for another moment, but immediately made the retreat, cantering away, leaving her sword behind.
Callum stumbled backwards and bent over, Opalla's sword still in between his rib cage. His hand slowly closed around the hilt and he tried to pull it out, but he was too weak. He stood there, his hands holding the weapon and his head lowered.
She didn't lower her weapon, "I can tell that the colt has informed you about me," she commented, nodding toward Callum. He stiffened, as if ready to explode. "Leave him to me, and no one gets hurt," she cocked the arrow into a ready position in its quiver, "But you're in my way, and I don't appreciate creatures that get in my way."
Callum:
He tugged on Fawnroot's ankle gently, "Please Fawnroot, get out of her way," he pleaded.
She peeled her eyes away from the lake to look at him and she nodded. "Yup. Avery." She said warmly, before gently reaching out towards his neck again, her eyes concerned. "Cole, you should probably get your neck checked out. It's still bleeding and the snake vemon is still in your system."
"A huge water snake I guess," He replied. "Thankfully this lake isn't the lake most animals drink and swim in, or else no one would go there anymore." He said, glancing at her. "Your name's Avery, huh?" He asked smiling at her.
She flicked her tail, "We saved each other in a way." She said softly and smiled, "And technically, you did promise to me that I wouldn't drown, so it was only fair that I wouldn't let you drown either."
She slowly sat up and stared at the water, "W-What was that thing?" She whispered, her shoulders trembling fearfully as she remembered the large, venomous teeth and the way it wrapped itself around Cole's neck.
She stared at him for a second, a strong blush spreading across her face. "Well, the snake was coming for me, but you pushed me out of the way. Then, you led me back to shore, but then you almost drowned in the process. By the time I managed to pull you back to the beach, you weren't breathing.... I-I didn't know what to do...sooo...yeah I did." She explained, then added quickly. "I'm sorry. I just panicked."
She exhaled, her heart overwhelmed with relief, and she smiled radiantly. "Y-Yeah...I'm okay." She placed a gentle hand on his neck. "You're bleeding." She said softly, her brow wrinkled with concern.
Avery relaxed and collapsed in the sand. "I am never going swimming again." She snorted, then turned her head to look at him. "And you...You gotta stop saving me." She said quietly.

He started to breath weakly, and then normally. He opened his eyes and looked at her. (XDXDDDD)"Did you-" He paused. "I forgot my manners," He continued. "Thanks. You all right?" He asked. Blood trickled down his neck. (what does OML mean again? I forgot)
She sat up and placed her hands on his chest. She started with 30 chest compressions, then stopped to analyze him. He still wasn't breathing...
She groaned in frustration and tears brimmed her eyes as she started to panic. Avery realized what she had to do - mouth to mouth. Her heart hammered inside her chest and her cheeks reddened. She leaned over and pressed her lips against his and exhaled heavily. (AAHHHHHHHH)
When she exhaled all her oxygen from her lungs into his, she lifted her head and inhaled another big breath, their lips parted and she leaned back. "Come on, Cole!" She shouted, "Please...breathe! Please!" She pleaded to him, her voice cracking.
She stumbled onto shore and collapsed in the sand, unaware that Cole wasn't following her. She sat up, her sides heaving. "C-Cole?" She mumbled gently, then gasped as she saw that he wasn't besides her. "Cole!" She whirled to face the water. "N-No!"
And despite her tired muscles and hammering heart, she galloped back into the water. She spotted him almost instantly as she dove back in, "He's going to drown..." She thought, but then paddled her legs as hard as she could and reached out to him.
She grabbed his biceps and hauled him upward. She breached the surface with the centaur in her arms and dragged him back towards land. She heaved him onto the sand and laid next to him, her energy spent. "Come on, Cole. Breathe!" She said gently and shook his shoulders.
He used his last remaining strength to push her towards land. He went under for a little while, and then came back up, choking on water. His vision became blurry, and his body was soon taken over by water.....
(THIS IS SO SAD!!! You should listen to the music while you read this!!)
She watched as Cole wrangled the snake and then killed it using it's own venom. She grabbed Cole's arm again, hauling him towards the surface, not even pausing. Darkness started to creep into the corners of her vision just as she breached the surface.
She gasped and coughed out mouthfuls of water, then pulled Cole up alongside her. She coughed again and wheezed for breath, her fiery red hair plastered to her face.
She tried to keep pumping her legs as Cole told her, but the effort of the dive was setting in and her muscles quivered and throbbed. At this point, simply trying to breath was taking most of her effort and strength.
The snake wrapped its body around one of her legs, and around one of Cole's legs too. It hissed at the pain of the wound, trying to take no notice of it. The snake rushed forward, and snapped at Avery, only missing when Cole pushed her up. The snake bit Cole, only realizing, it bit itself, (because Cole put the snake's own body in the way) putting poison in its body. The snake hissed and slithered away and stopped suddenly, (quietness going around) then sunk to the ground, not even twitching, and it somehow like melted away, like something was eating it. (soooo gruesome srry!!!๐ฑ)
Seeing that Cole was also running out of air, she yanked the snake as hard as she could away from his neck. She bent down and grabbed a rock off the lake bottom and smashed it against the snake's head.
Blood poured from the wound and clouded the water around them, but the snake was still alive-Avery simply stunned it. Taking advantage of the moment, she grabbed Cole's arms and pulled him upward.
By now, her lungs were burning and she could feel her leg muscles start to weaken. Avery inhaled, choking on the water as she tightened her grip on Cole's arm.
@Riverbreeze (wait, you did? if you look up, the last comment was of Cole. I didn't see anything after that. were you talking about the one she was running out of breath at the end of the paragraph? cuz, I did respond to that, i'm pretty sure.)
@Riverbreeze (woaoaoaoooaoooaoao-wait what? okee dokee, no I did not see that one. I think it's because of the internet here, it's soooo bad right now. I'll check)
Seeing that Cole was also running out of air, she yanked the snake as hard as she could away from his neck. She bent down and grabbed a rock off the lake bottom and smashed it against the snake's head.

By now, her lungs were burning and she could feel her leg muscles start to weaken. Avery inhaled, choking on the water as she tightened her grip on Cole's arm.
She flailed her arms at the sight of it. She's never seen a snake so big before. She felt almost completely useless seeing that they were all the way on the bottom of the lake-she wasn't sure how to help him or if she could even dive down that far.
But, Avery mustered up her courage and paddled down to him as quickly as she could. She grabbed the snake's body as it wrapped around Cole's neck and tried to pry the massive snake off his neck. She was quickly running out of air, but she knew that she wouldn't leave Cole down here with this monster.
He was at the bottom and was struggling with something, it was slick and shiny, and VERY long and thick. It came hurtling towards her, but then it went past. It's body was wrapped around Cole's neck, and he was holding its head so that it wouldn't bite him. A long red tongue came out of its mouth, and it had red eyes. (is anyone here?)
Her eyes widened at the sight of the crossbow, but she didn't back down. She swallowed hard to keep her voice from quivering. "Yeah, right. As if you came back to check on him. You're the one who left him to die." She said, flicking her tail and took a step closer to Callum.
"Opalla, is it? Opalla, listen. There doesn't have to be more bloodshed today. Please, put your weapons down, and let's talk this out. I don't want to fight you." She said softly, her eyes nervous, but also glinting with bravery. "But I will if I must..." She thought that last part and cautiously eyed Opalla, waiting to see what the mare would do.
Avery:
She tried to reach out for him, but he submerged too quickly. Now, Avery was starting to panic. "Cole! This isn't funny... Please, come back up!" She said, her voice almost to a shout. But, when there was no immediate response, her heart skipped a beat.
"Ooookay Avery....You got this. C'mon, Cole would help you if you slipped...." She mumbled to herself, and before she knew what she was doing, she inhaled a massive breath and dove into the water after Cole.
Her red hair splayed out in all directions and her golden eyes had to get used to the dark waters of the lake. But, she remembered Cole's instructions and galloped forward, her keen eyes sweeping back and forth, searching for Cole. She knew that she was probably going to drown, but for some reason, finding Cole and making sure he was okay was more important.
She gasped as Cole suddenly vanished from her side, but she didn't stop paddling her legs. Without Cole's strong hold on her hand and forearm, she felt unsteady and unsafe, but she was more concerned about Cole and why he disappeared.
"Cole?" She asked and frantically looked around, but the water was too dark. "Cole?!! Answer me!" She said louder.
Fawnroot:
She raised her head and gasped at the sight of the centauress. She knew immediately that she was Opella. From the way she stood, to the way Callum fearfully spoke, she knew that this was Callum's attacker. Fear rolled off Fawnroot in waves, but she puffed out her chest and pinned her ears despite her anxiety.
She placed herself over Callum again and lowered her wings, just like she did with the coyote. "What do you want?" She asked carefully with a slight edge of anger, ready to dodge or attack.
"Oh nothing, I was just wondering how Callum was doing," she replied calmly, her crossbow still in her hand. "Taking care of him?" She smiled at Callum, but her crystal blue eyes were fierce with rage.
Callum:
He wrinkled his brow in worry; the centauress could easily shoot and perhaps kill Fawnroot if she wanted to. His fingers slowly closed around Fawnroot's leg, his fearful emotions spreading throughout all his body.
He suddenly jerked down into the water, letting go of Avery. He was pulled under, a furry thing was in the water with him. It's 'coat' was shining off from the sunlight.
She chuckled, "It's okay. Half the things I say to myself don't make sense either." She nudged his hand that clenched his injured side. "Let me clean it again. And get you a new bandage." She said and slowly started to stand up, but used her wings to gently lay Callum flat.
He gingerly removed his hand from his wound obediently, letting the medicine mare help him. A flash of black and white caught his eye; looking up, he saw his dread. Callum clutched Fawnroot's leg, "Fawnroot..."
He grinned, "That's good; no nightmares then, huh?" He asked.
Opalla:
She startled as a coyote limped out of the trees, its tongue hanging out while whimpering. She watched it go toward the water, dipping its nose into it. After lapping from the lake, it looked up at Opalla, its fur bristling.
In the speed of lightning, the centauress drew her ready-to-go crossbow and nailed the canine, killing it instantly.
She went forward and tsked, "Poor thing, suffering the way it was..." she looked up toward the forest thoughtfully. Suffering. Leaving the canine, she went back into the forest, her crossbow raised.
Opalla's hoof nicked a stone, causing to roll back toward where she had last left Callum. She watched it slow to a stop thoughtfully, retracing the scene when she had stabbed the fool. Her blade had gone into his side, still leaving him a chance to live. Anger bristled in her stony heart as she realized that he could still be alive, trying to get help.
She stepped silently into the clearing, but stopped just as fast as she saw a pegasus talking to him.
She met his eyes and nodded. By now, there was no more comforting sand beneath her hooves and she pumped her legs faster. She exhaled and inhaled sharply, as she realized that she wasn't sinking. "Ooh...whoa" She mumbled breathily, and her nervousness melted away.
She looked back to him and saw a small flicker of pain in his eyes, but he hid it well. She exhaled slowly, blowing her warm breath into his face, ruffling his hair gently. She wasn't sure what to say.
Does she say something comforting? Or something protective? Does she ask if she can check on the wound? All the questions seems pretty pointless and insignificant.
So, she simply laid there beside him, offering her physical support by holding him up, and her emotional support by caring about him so dearly.
Avery:
She nodded stiffly and locked her jaw as she felt the ground start to give way beneath her hooves. She whimpered gently, but then bit her tongue and followed Cole's instructions by starting to pump her legs into a gallop.
He relaxed against her, resting his head on her shoulder. "I feel mixed," he muttered, not realizing that he'd said it aloud. He deeply hoped never to run into Opalla again, for his sake, and mainly for Fawnroot's.
He tightened his grip, into a reassuring grip. "Now, you know how you run? Well, when you get to a part where you can't touch the ground, start doing that as hard as you can." He said. "That's just for staying above water anyway."
She frowned deeply, but she didn't press Callum and allowed him to lay in silence. She reached to grab some willow leaves and placed them gently by Callum's empty hand-ready if he needed or wanted them, then she looked away.
Her face grew hot with anger and her tail lashed back and forth. "Opalla." She memorized the name and snorted harshly.
So, Opalla was the one who stabbed Callum. She was the one who left him to die. She was the one who's hoof prints encircled the area. Her blue eyes darkened, "I swear to you Callum, as long as I have breath in my lungs, she is not going to hurt you." She vowed secretly to herself.
He absentmindedly ate the willow leaves, his eyes still lowered to the ground. Slowly, he lifted his eyes to Fawnroot, emotional pain and physical hurt welling up inside. He hoped it wasn't noticeable.
A low growl came from the back of her throat as she listened to Callum's explanation. She pinned her ears again, "Just because you got elected over her, doesn't give her a right to hurt you the way she did. If I hadn't found you when I did...you probably would've bled out..." She said, her voice decreasing in volume.
She peered at his side, "Do you want pain medicine? I haven't given any too you yet since you were unconscious, but it would be good to take if it hurts too bad." She said gently.
He swallowed, not answering her offer. You probably would've bled out... to death. His thoughts finished. He looked down at his side, making sure that his hair blocked his face so that Fawnroot could see his eyes close to tears.
She chuckled gently and shook her head. โNot really. I was simply acting instinctually. Iโve never actually fought anything before.โ She said and walked back to him. She returned to her original place, laying down by his head.
She propped him up against her side and wings again and nudged his shoulder. โTell me who attacked you.โ She said, more of an order than a request.
Avery:
She slowly followed Cole into the water, treading gently and placing each hoof with care. When the cold water reached her waist, she froze and inhaled sharply.
She looked up at Cole, her eyes anxious and her chest quivering. She tightened her grip on Coleโs hand and slowly continued.
(HEYY I'M HERE!! AND GUEESS WHATTTTTT??? I'MA GOIN HORSEBACK RIDING TOMORROWWWW YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I'M SO STINKING EXCITEDDDD)
Callum:
"You have very good instincts," he commented softly, grunting as the mare propped him up against her side and wings again.
She nudged his shoulder with her muzzle gently, "Tell me who attacked you," she told him.
Callum stiffened, his hand clutching his side. It was awhile until he inhaled before speaking again, "I don't even remember her name, it's on the tip of my tongue, like Oval, or Opal... Opalla! That's her name..." he grimaced as his stomach muscles tightened painfully. "I think I've told you that I was a former captain, haven't I? Well, there were others that wanted the position. Which included Opalla, an older, and much more experienced warrior than I. But even over her, one of the top swords-centaurs, the council chose me. They weren't mainly looking for the ability, they were looking for a good leader that would put his warriors' needs first rather than himself. And that's what they said they saw in me, so I got elected. Which, not very surprisingly, made Opalla very, very angry. I think she still blames me, even though I told her it was the council that chose me, I didn't cheat to be captian." Callum looked Fawnroot in the eye, "All she wants is power and authority, and whatever stands in her way she gets rid of in any way possible. Which she usually uses her... weaponry for that." He inhaled deeply, staring ahead in a static way.
(Okay I'm back. I don't think I can stay long tho)
Fawnroot:
She didn't answer him. She stood completely still, the only thing that moved was her ears, flicking back and forth at every sound. Suddenly, a large coyote about the size of a normal wolf, stalked out of the trees.
It growled, it's yellow teeth bared at Fawnroot, not realizing there was another creature hidden beneath her wings. It galloped forward and Fawnroot whinnied harshly and leapt forward.
As it got closer, the coyote looked ragged and skinny, as if it hasn't eaten in weeks. Fawnroot whirled around and slammed her hind legs into the coyote's shoulder. Normally, this would be enough the scare them away, but this canine was hungry.
It spotted Callum and swerved around Fawnroot, making a bee-line towards the downed centaur. His mistake.
"Don't you touch him!" She lunged forward and grabbed the small wolf by the tail. Before it could retaliate, the mare whipped her neck around and flung it into a tree. The coyote slunk to the ground and limped away on 3 legs, in the opposite direction. Fawnroot snorted and looked back to Callum, arching her wings triumphantly. Coyotes hunt alone, not in packs, so she wasn't worried about there being more in the area.
She smiled softly and nodded. "I know...I-" A twig snapped and Fawnroot snapped her ears towards the sound. She slowly stood up, "Callum...don't move." She whispered gently and positioned herself over him, her body covering him-her wings lowered around his sides.
Avery:
She inhaled deeply and stared at the deep water that stretched out before her, "Okay...I trust you."
She followed her path back to the lake, her long, flowing tail flicking at her sides. She stopped, adjusting her eyes to the sunlight as it glinted off the water. As soon as they got used to it, she trotted into the water, cleaning her bloody sword. She frowned at it for a moment, watching the fluid mix with the water. She dried the blade and sheathed it again.
She stared at his outstretched hand. She clenched one hand into a fist and held it by her chest. She lifted her eyes to his and they locked eyes. Avery knew she barely knew this stranger and he could easily drown her, if he wanted too, but something was telling her that he could be trusted.
She slowly and gingerly reached out and took his hand in her's. "A-Are you sure? I've never done anything like this before." She mumbled nervously and chewed on her lip.
Fawnroot:
She nodded slowly, "If I didn't care, do you think I would be here with you?" She said gently, then pulled her head back away from his hand and glanced at her hooves.
"I know you've lost someone...I know she was very important to you. I know you cared about her. I don't want to get in the way of your feelings. I don't want to confuse you or hurt you. I'll understand if you...if you don't care. " She said, remembering how he talked about Vailaa and their close relationship.
She pressed her forehead into his hand, and closed her eyes, feeling his touch and embracing it. (Hiccup and Toothless vibes XDDD) "I have wings, she doesn't. I have horse-sized teeth, she doesn't. I have my knowledge of medicine, she doesn't. I have you...and she doesn't." As she spoke she opened her blue eyes and returned his gaze.
(MADE IT AND PUBLISHED IT!)
(GONNA DO THE NEXT PARTTT!)
(Sry, it's short but I took SO long to finish it!!!! DX)
(SRY! I responded to a friend of mine! It was LONG XD)
Fawnroot:
(I'M DYING)
Fawnroot:
It all happened so fast-Fawnroot never even saw the arrow coming. She just clenched her eyes shut and waited to see her grandfather again.

(This is me when we have a super AWESOME RP moment. Ignore the angry expression on that ninja toitles face)
(If I may have the chance to answer my own question.. yes yes you are XD)
(River I be still on! R u there tho?)
Cole:
"Hey, I'll be fine." He said noticing her looking at it again. (GTG!! See you this afternoon WY time!)
Avery:
She chuckled and tightened her ponytail. "Yeah...and I am never swimming again. I'll just stick to land from now on." She said, glancing at Cole's neck, still obviously concerned.
Cole:
"Well you sure learned how to swim," He said.
Avery:
She shuddered and pushed her lips upward, as if she smelled something disgusting, "Yeah, how could I forget?" She said.

Callum:
He tugged on Fawnroot's ankle gently, "Please Fawnroot, get out of her way," he pleaded.
Cole:
"Your right. Did you see how that snake died? It just stopped and drifted to the bottom of the lake."
(Ashsong!!! YAYYY!!)
Avery:
She peeled her eyes away from the lake to look at him and she nodded. "Yup. Avery." She said warmly, before gently reaching out towards his neck again, her eyes concerned. "Cole, you should probably get your neck checked out. It's still bleeding and the snake vemon is still in your system."

Cole:
"Well, you did say I gotta stop saving you," He said, their eyes meeting. "Did you actually do that oxygen therapy on me?"
(HERE!!!! I left cuz i thought you weren't coming back)
Avery:
She sighed and flipped her wet bangs out of her eyes. "What do I mean about what?" She asked gently, glancing at him out of the corner of her eyes.
(YAY RIVER!!)
(River.... you left me..)
(RIVER COME BACK TO ME)
(You here River?)
Cole:
He laughed. "What do you mean?" He asked. "I'll be fine, that snake's venom is some powerful stuff." (Ok)
(Btw I replied on the character post with a lil bit more descriptive pictures of Avery if you wanna see what she looks like up close.)
(oh my lord XDD)
Avery:
She exhaled, her heart overwhelmed with relief, and she smiled radiantly. "Y-Yeah...I'm okay." She placed a gentle hand on his neck. "You're bleeding." She said softly, her brow wrinkled with concern.
Avery relaxed and collapsed in the sand. "I am never going swimming again." She snorted, then turned her head to look at him. "And you...You gotta stop saving me." She said quietly.
(Riverbreeze? Are you there?)
(oh my lord XDD)

Cole:
He started to breath weakly, and then normally. He opened his eyes and looked at her. (XDXDDDD)"Did you-" He paused. "I forgot my manners," He continued. "Thanks. You all right?" He asked. Blood trickled down his neck. (what does OML mean again? I forgot)
Avery:
(OML OML OML OML OML OML EARTHQUAKE PLS BE HERE)
(oh my goodness gracious.... sure!)
Cole:
He was not breathing..... (XDDD)
(OH MY GOSH!!! YOU MEAN ON ZE MOUTH???XDXDD)
Avery:
Cole:
He used his last remaining strength to push her towards land. He went under for a little while, and then came back up, choking on water. His vision became blurry, and his body was soon taken over by water.....
(THIS IS SO SAD!!! You should listen to the music while you read this!!)
(it's okay it was cool XDD)
Avery:
(thanks, I didn't see it anywhere up there)
Cole:
(this is the recomment)
Avery:
Seeing that Cole was also running out of air, she yanked the snake as hard as she could away from his neck. She bent down and grabbed a rock off the lake bottom and smashed it against the snake's head.
Blood poured from the wound and clouded the water around them, but the snake was still alive-Avery simply stunned it. Taking advantage of the moment, she grabbed Cole's arms and pulled him upward.
By now, her lungs were burning and she could feel her leg muscles start to weaken. Avery inhaled, choking on the water as she tightened her grip on Cole's arm.
(Ok, so, I did a comment btw)
(I'm back! Was that even 8 min.?)
(Okie dokie!)

(scratch that, I'll brb in more like 10 min. sry!)
(I'm doin' shool, GOSH DARN IT!!! I HAVE TO DO STINKIN EXERCISES!!! I'M ALREADY REALLY FLEXIBLE!!! UGHHHH)
(but, I'll be right here)
(only take like 5 min.)
(brb)
Cole:
His grip on the snake's jaw was loosening, he was running out of air. (at least he touched the bottom of the lake!!!XD)
(ok! XD my sister is not on, she is doing horseback riding)
Avery:
She flailed her arms at the sight of it. She's never seen a snake so big before. She felt almost completely useless seeing that they were all the way on the bottom of the lake-she wasn't sure how to help him or if she could even dive down that far.
But, Avery mustered up her courage and paddled down to him as quickly as she could. She grabbed the snake's body as it wrapped around Cole's neck and tried to pry the massive snake off his neck. She was quickly running out of air, but she knew that she wouldn't leave Cole down here with this monster.
(did you see my comment?)
(btw, I won't be responding very fast because I'm doing something else too.)
(YAYAAAAY RIVER!!! XDXD)
(tis a snake.... VERY HUGE snake! YAYAY!!)
(tis a snake.... VERY HUGE snake! YAYAY!!)
(YUP!!!!)
Cole:
He was at the bottom and was struggling with something, it was slick and shiny, and VERY long and thick. It came hurtling towards her, but then it went past. It's body was wrapped around Cole's neck, and he was holding its head so that it wouldn't bite him. A long red tongue came out of its mouth, and it had red eyes. (is anyone here?)
Fawnroot:
(GTG! Hmmmph, l:<)
Cole:
He came up, but only for a little while, because he was pulled down again. (GTG!!)
(Gonna need to make another part soon!)
Avery:
Sage.
She shook her head, "nope!"
(Darnnnnnnnnnn I gtgzzzzz)
Cole:
He suddenly jerked down into the water, letting go of Avery. He was pulled under, a furry thing was in the water with him. It's 'coat' was shining off from the sunlight.
Fawnroot:
She chuckled, "It's okay. Half the things I say to myself don't make sense either." She nudged his hand that clenched his injured side. "Let me clean it again. And get you a new bandage." She said and slowly started to stand up, but used her wings to gently lay Callum flat.
Sage.
She laughed softly, "it was good," she said.
(3 SHIPS GOING ON AT ONCE YAASSS) Avery:
She met his eyes and nodded. By now, there was no more comforting sand beneath her hooves and she pumped her legs faster. She exhaled and inhaled sharply, as she realized that she wasn't sinking. "Ooh...whoa" She mumbled breathily, and her nervousness melted away.
Fawnroot:
"Mixed...? Why?" She asked gently and kindly.
(I KNOWWWWW NIHGTMISTTT COME BACKKKKK)
(NIGHTMIST WHERE ART THOU WE MISS YOUU)
Sage,
She smiled softly up at Ashtohn.
(XD)
(Here now, been a long day, my whole body is sore from my lesson yesterday XD)
Sage,
She yawned at slowly opened her eyes.
(CINDER!!!!)
Cole:
He held on to her- and not only her hand, but also her arm for more support. "Don't worry, if you start to sink, I'll pull you up." He said.
(Okay! I'll look)
Fawnroot:
(Riverbreeze you have to look at the RP characters, I put some pics of Cole
-NOT MY DRAWINGS- on there if you want to see them.)
Ashtohn:
He whispered things to Sage as she rested up against him, smiling.
Cole:
He tightened his grip, into a reassuring grip. "Now, you know how you run? Well, when you get to a part where you can't touch the ground, start doing that as hard as you can." He said. "That's just for staying above water anyway."
Fawnroot:
(Ok here!! letsss RPPP)
Fawnroot:
A low growl came from the back of her throat as she listened to Callum's explanation. She pinned her ears again, "Just because you got elected over her, doesn't give her a right to hurt you the way she did. If I hadn't found you when I did...you probably would've bled out..." She said, her voice decreasing in volume.
She peered at his side, "Do you want pain medicine? I haven't given any too you yet since you were unconscious, but it would be good to take if it hurts too bad." She said gently.
Fawnroot:
Cole:
He helped her in the water. (gtg! bai! see in the afternoon WY time maybe!)
(Awww!! so cute!!
(I wish Nightmist would come...
(YASSS YOU ARE BACK!!! is anyone on besides us?)
(awww!! Bai!!!)
Fawnroot:
She smiled softly and nodded. "I know...I-" A twig snapped and Fawnroot snapped her ears towards the sound. She slowly stood up, "Callum...don't move." She whispered gently and positioned herself over him, her body covering him-her wings lowered around his sides.
Avery:
She inhaled deeply and stared at the deep water that stretched out before her, "Okay...I trust you."
(brb!!!)
Opalla:
She followed her path back to the lake, her long, flowing tail flicking at her sides. She stopped, adjusting her eyes to the sunlight as it glinted off the water. As soon as they got used to it, she trotted into the water, cleaning her bloody sword. She frowned at it for a moment, watching the fluid mix with the water. She dried the blade and sheathed it again.
Cole:
"Don't worry, I won't let you drown. Trust me." He said.
Avery:
(XD)
Cole:
"Oh. I'm sorry." He said ignoring the last part.(XDXD) "Well, I can teach you-" he said holding out his hand.
๐ฅ
Fawnroot:
She pressed her forehead into his hand, and closed her eyes, feeling his touch and embracing it. (Hiccup and Toothless vibes XDDD) "I have wings, she doesn't. I have horse-sized teeth, she doesn't. I have my knowledge of medicine, she doesn't. I have you...and she doesn't." As she spoke she opened her blue eyes and returned his gaze.
Avery:
She blushed gently, embarrassed and twiddled her fingers. "N-No. My parents never taught me how."
She replied softly, and gritted her teeth. "Pretty pathetic, yeah?"
Cole:
"Wait, you don't know how to swim?"
