Both Windfeather and Firesong have expressed interest in being the Outcast leader. Does anyone else want to be in the running?
Ready? Let’s start!
At Featherstone Academy-
Tazlin (Transformation Class Teacher):
She glanced around at her class as they sat down. It was the first class of their first year of Featherstone Academy, their freshmen year. None of them knew how to transform into animals yet, but that would change now. The bell rang, announcing the start of class.
Adriane:
She found a seat in the back row, not wanting to draw attention to herself. But that would be futile, as nearly everyone knew who she was. The granddaughter of the Head Councilor. No one wanted to cross her with her grandmother being so high.
She looked up at the teacher, a tinge of excitement running through her. Finally, she would see what animal she would be. Her mother had been a gray wolf, like her grandmother, but her father had been a coyote. Either was something that she could get. She was hoping for the coyote, because then she wouldn’t have to be a councilor when she was older, but she knew her grandmother would be so disappointed.
Alexei:
He looked at the teacher, eager for class to start. He found himself looking beside him, but his twin sister Zanaiah was not there. She had been missing for five years now, and he thought that she had joined the outcasts. Even though she was ‘extra’, he still wished that she was here. Featherstone Academy offered admission to anyone, even extra children.
He knew that he could be a robin, like his father was, or a peregrine falcon, like his father. Both were animals that he thought would be perfect. He just wondered what Zanaiah would have gotten.
At the Head Councilor’s Office-
Nakoda:
She sighed as another civilian was brought into her office. She tried to help with people’s concerns, but it was wearing down on her. Yes, their world was not perfect, and she realized that. But couldn’t everyone on Animalia be satisfied with the way life was? The evil lion dictator was no longer in power, and the prehistoric killing in the name of predator and prey had ceased. This was just the way life was now.
In a Dusty Cave in the Tunnels that the Outcasts Call Home-
Sholem:
He pored over a book of ancient texts, a pleased smile filling his face. “The Bell of Intercision.” He read out loud. “A weapon which can be used to separate human from animal form.”
New Part!

Yael: He meandered his way home. His parents were still busy at the restaurant, so he busied himself with homework until they returned.
That night, they asked him how student teaching went. Yael told them about the sudden responsibilities he had, and how he gave the class a mini lesson followed by a free period. He did not mention Pan; his mother disliked when he talked about pagan things. They were proud of him though, and were clearly starting to hope that he was back on the right track. Yael went to sleep treasuring their pride.
Adriane:
She decided that enough was enough, and she transformed back into a human. It was time to go home, and her grandmother would be looking for her.
Whitney:
She ran after Starlynn.
Mica: “I do! I like rhythms in particular, when they are syncopated or changing signatures.” she said. She sort of had a thing for musicians… not that she would tell Ace!
Ace:
"Just an old folk song... I don't remember the name. You like music?" He hoped she did... his parents thought music was nice but a waste of time.

Ace:
If anyone else found out that he like music and singing, he would literally DIE. "Um," he stammered. "Thanks, I guess."
Ace:
He reached the repeat and broke off, not feeling like doing it all over again. Opening his eyes slowly, he saw Mica sitting next to him and he immediately turned red.
Ace:
He was humming a very old folk tune, the different parts swirling in his head.
Ace:
He continued humming softly with his eyes closed, face into the sun, completely oblivious.
Ace:
He sat in front of the school, humming to himself, his eyes closed.
Alex:
he quietly whimpered and became quit like adriane
Adriane:
She growled softly under her breath. Did Alex not understand how to be stealthy?
(I GTG)
Calore:
He finally stopped, not turning around.
Starlynn:
She froze and ducked behind a clothing rack.
Alex:
she barked
Adriane:
She wasn’t sure why Starlynn was still following Calore. What did she want? To flaunt? To kill? Why couldn’t she leave him alone?
Delphine:
"It is her responsibility."
Delphine:
She nodded. "Has Tazlin informed his parents? Or even the principle?"
Starlynn:
Shew as having trouble keeping up. Just get to your house already!
Calore:
He knew she was still following and took a frustrated breath.
Fahdlan: “Just during my planning periods,“ he said, wondering what would happen to Calore outside of Featherstone’s walls.
