Hello lovely nerd herders! This is 4 days late but life happens. Better late than never right?
Anyway, March is National Reading Month and so I thought it would be fun, as we go through the month, to share what we have read and maybe even a little summary/review (like on Goodreads when you finish a book). You don't have to participate but it's just a way to keep track of how many books you read in this 31 days!
So far, I've read The Canyons Edge by Dusti Bowling. It's a really easy read about a girl recovering from the trauma of losing her mother. However, she gets lost in a canyon and has to find her way out without food or water. Adventure novel but it's incredibly powerful and heartfelt. Also it's filled with different forms of poetry, (none of the rhyming kind) so it's just in general really fun to read :)
Happy reading!

I did finish another book but I didn't like it as much..
The Blackbird Girls by Anne Blankman
It focused on two girls who lost their fathers in the disaster at Chernobyl. I didn't like it because it branches off to tell another take that is supposed to help support the "blackbird girl" relationship but I feel like it was unnecessary. It also seemed to cut out info on the actual disaster, which I was kind of disappointed in.
