So at horseback riding we got pushed back to 6:30-6:30 pm and it was crazy! one of the new horses they got THAT morning was being riden by my friend and one of the coaches horses were out (not supposed to) and they were playing bucking ect. so Chevy (the horse) wanted to play so he ran of and started bucking with my friend on him then she was still on for a few sec then he stop then kept going and she fell. she started screaming on the ground and the mom said a few words... Jam the horse i ride (i talk about her in the other post) was about to run but came to her senses. my friend left then we hoped off then walked the horses a bit. i thought we would have to leave but we didn't XD. i got back on like nothing ever happened and i got to jump vertices with jam! this was probably one of her first time but i was having so much fun! then we walked out and we got off at about 7:40-7:50 and i untacked quickly to get home XD. i was somewhat scared but i kept calm and said this to jam "shhhhhhhh, good girl jam good girl" all said softly. the coaches were super proud of us and my other friend was slightly panicking.
then one of the owners (of horses) got on Chevy and he was a sweetheart!
(this felt like a ramble XD)
That sounds like you had a fun time! XD I kinda had something similar happen to me when I took lessons.
I was riding a horse named Sassy (Not the only horse named Sassy i ever rode) We were just practicing walking or trotting or something. Then suddenly, some people started firing fireworks a whiles away. Some of the horses started freaking out and startling and one even reared with a VERY scared girl on her/his back. But Sassy didn't do anything because I, kind of not even thinking about it, just turned her away from the fireworks and she just stayed calm.
(Poor Sassy isn't alive anymore. I have a curse when it comes to animals named Sassy. My grandma's dog was named Sassy and she dies of a broken leg and cancer, and my friend had a horse named Sassy and she died as well. 😅 Don't know how that is relevant to the story but whatever. )
Stay safe in your lessons!
That is so cool! I had a similar incident with a horse that I ride, Rebel. One of the other horses wasn't cooperating and so the rider cropped him, and he bucked at Rebel causing Rebel to do the same. Thankfully I was fine, minus the saddle horn in my gut. (I ride Western. What style do you ride, Ember?) But it was actually kind of fun tbh...Glad you and Jam are good! Also, cool head thinking on your part!
