Okay guys, sorry for the long wait, but here is Challenge RP #1!
-Story-
During the rein of Nightwing the destroyer, Anok was reduced to chaos. Seemingly hundreds were killed by the day, and there was no end in sight to the madness. Then one day, the curls of silver smoke no longer dominated the sky, and the destruction came to an abrupt halt.
But what had happened? No one knew. All that was known was that Nightwing had vanished.
Terrified that he may return, the steeds of Anok remained in hiding for many moons. But as time passed, and there were no more sightings of the feared black stallion, these pegasi began to venture out. One by one, they began to group together.
One of these such groups rallied around a mare that became known as Starcloud -- a mare renowned for her strength and courage despite being born unable to fly. Will this small group of survivors manage put the shattered pieces of their lives back together? Or will there be no hope for those left....

Flintpebble-
Flintpebble looked out across the meadow, closely watching a group of weanlings -- elated by their new found freedom to fly above the three tops. It almost seemed like yesterday that these same foals would have been unable to do this out of fear that it might draw the attention of the Destroyer, but now it served as a sign that times were changing. Soon these little ones would be yearlings, and would be starting flight school. This yet another step toward Anok repairing the damage done.
(gosh, I think I'm a bit out of practice with writing for RPs XD)
Snowfly,
She stretched out her wings, enjoying the warm sunlight that hit them, then she trotted over to a fresh patch of grass and started grazing
Starcloud: She grazed on some grass and kept herself alert just in case of an attack
Riverwind:
He stood alongside captains. They were working to create enough warriors to keep the most vulnerable of the herd safe. Most warriors were young and inexperienced, or older understallions and mares just wanting to do the right thing. All the strong warriors had been appointed as captains, drilling their teams during the cooler parts of the day in hopes to scratch up as much sentries as possible.
"Fight with your head not just your eyes! Anticipate whats coming. A cougar isn't going to look you in the eye and spell out its next move, you must study it, watch its body language. Is it poised to strike, or dodge. Which way is it going to attack?" He said trotting through the drill grounds, his weathered muscles useless as his wings stood on his back, the same way they have been for the last 30 or so years.
The group landed to work on close quarters, ground work. "Always on your toes! I dont want to see you on your flat feet! Your wings are your friend use them as balance! Keep your posture low and wide, its not easy to know you down like that. As the desert herd steeds say, to fall is to die!" He smiled watching the steeds, remembering what it was like to be in battle, the blood flowing through his veins, his wings rattling in excitement. (Awwwww its mah boiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii)
Starcloud:
She lifted her head. The captain's were training with the warriors, the foals were playing, and Nightwing was nowhere to be seen. She let out a sigh of relief.
Greyflight watched the foals as he grazed. He was with a few friends but wasn talking.
Aspenmoon(sorry Dragon I changed her name):
The pretty appaloosa mare stood on the ground in the main meadow, her wings flared. Even though Nightwing had suddenly vanished, the other dangers in Anok had not.
She was an under-captain, but she had no idea which captain would be her mentor, because no one had told her. She scoffed to herself-knowing that even if someone had told her the assignment, she'd probably zone out within the first 5 seconds.
Nightwing could come back-everyone feared it, but Aspenmoon was just tired of the constant smoke and fire that evidently was an effect that came with the Destroyer. The soot would char her coat and the heat from the flames would burn her feathers. Discusted by the thought, the mare shook her head and set off at a brisk trot to find the lead-mare.
Icespirit:
Icespirit stood in the medicine cave, staring at the back wall. She swatted flies with her tail across her hot flank. Shuddering them off, she continued back to work, glancing at the other assistants and the medicine mare.
No one told her off, for they were frequently taking small mental breaks in the hot and stuffy medicine cave. Some were also very on edge, day dreaming about the horrible black stallion that had bured the lands. Icespirit tried her best to not think about it too much, but every once in a while, she felt her mind dawdle off, thinking about the stallion named Nightwing.
(ur kinda needed in domination :]
( KK )
Starcloud: She looked at her wings. They were useless and she wanted to make use of them, maybe one day she would fly but right now that was just an unreachable dream. She sighed and lowered her head to graze again
Aspenmoon:
She saw her lead-mare on the other side of the meadow silently grazing. She trotted up to Starcloud and gently bowed her head,
"Excuse me, Starcloud?" She nickered gently and swished her tail at the pesky flies.
"Yes, hi. I am Aspenmoon, an under-captain. I was wondering who my mentor will be? As an under-captain, it's my job to follow and learn from an appointed captain, but I have not been assigned to one. Would you know, or should I look for the over-stallion?" She asked, blinking at the flightless mare will round, bright eyes.
Starcloud: She looked up. "I don't know yet but once I do I will tell you immediately" She said with a kind smile
Aspenmoon:
"Alright..." She said gently before nodding and trotting away. "That wasn't very helpful..." She mumbled when she was far enough away that the older mare wouldn't hear her.
She flicked her tail in frustration, when she noticed Greyflight. She was bored and didn't have anything to do, so she figured talking with her friend would be good. So, she broke into a frisky canter and made her way towards the stallion, nickering a greeting when she reached him.
Starcloud: She watched the mare leave and then she trotted to a nearby creek
Greyflight looked up to see Asphenmoon, "Well Hi there! You came randomly." he teased with a smile.
Aspenmoon:
She arched her neck, "I'm bored. It's not like I have anything better to do." She said plainly, before lashing her tail at the flies that landed on her flank and legs. Her eyes narrowed and she flared her wings.
"Ugh!! These stupid flies! I am so over summertime. When can it be winter already?" She cried, and spun in a tight circle, shaking out her coat, and tossing her neck dramatically.
Greyflight laughed softly, “What did you find out this time?” He asked her with a calm glance as he swatted at his own flies.
Aspenmoon:
She grumbled something under her breath, then glanced up at Greyflight, "Nothing, really. I still don't know which captain will be my mentor, but I'm not complaining about it. Less work for me." She joked before cocking a hoof and resting on 3 legs.
"Besides, while the herd gathers and recuperates from the Destroyer, now is the best time to relax-once everyone realizes that he won't return, that's when the real work will begin."
Greyflight nodded, “I still have work to do though.” he grumbled glaring over at the foals. He loved foals but didn’t like when they were stupid and you had to teach them how to fly so that they don’t get themselves killed.
Aspenmoon:
She followed his gaze and snickered as she remembered that he was a flight instructor. Flexing her wings, she rolled her eyes sarcastically.
“Foals can be...so annoying.” She said as she watched one of the newborn filly’s trip and fall smack onto her face. The filly shook her head and pouted to her friends, leaving Aspenmoon trying not to laugh.
She unfurled her wings and pointed towards the sky, “Why don’t you teach me something?” she asked, her voice flirty and playful
